I brought this guitar from my local music shop recently. Not really much to say apart from it’s a great looking, feeling and sounding guitar. Well worth the price.
I just purchased the lefty version of the Fender CC-60S Concert-sized today with the walnut fingerboard ($199). Today I tried again before buying it an Ibanez AEG-18 ($359), a Guild M-120E ($749), a Recording King Dirty 30's 7 Parlor ($159), a Taylor 150 ($799), all of them lefties, and out of all of those I preferred the Guild and the Fender. The Fender won out for price, and playability. They both sounded nice with the Guild sounding a little tighter (perhaps to better woods and construction) but it didn't sound $550 better and I was surprised how pleasing the little Fender sounded to me. I just love the sound it has and it looks great and super easy to play. The G, C, A, E, and D open chords sound wonderful!
I just got the SCE for $180 because the box was damaged & am really impressed with what Fender’s done with their acoustics, but if I was paying full price I’d go with the Yamaha FSX800c.
I own the Fender CD 60S and in my opinion is the best entry level guitar. The " easy to play " neck ... worth every penny, it makes a huge difference for a beginner.
Great review! Really helpful. If I got it wright, the difference between cc-60s and cd-60s is that the cc is a bit smaller? Is one of these guitars better in any other way?
@@kimmysander2447 No complaints here! I think it was a great purchase for a beginner. I don't see a need to upgrade at this time, though I'm getting the fever to drop some $ on a shiny new electric. Fender's new Tash Sultana strat is calling my name
Nice, i can definently see the apeal. I also have the Squire Bullet Strat next to this one, with spruce top in black. Both are great. for the electric I got the Katana Mk II Amp, has everything you could need incl, 60+ pedal settings if hooked up to a PC, can highly recommend it.
Well done and Thanks for this brilliant review and comparison! I decided to buy cc60s version as don't intend to play live. I'm upgrading from Yamaha f310. I love the tone and sound of this guitar comparing to my Yamaha f310. What do you think comparing fender cc60s to Yamaha f310? Many thanks
Both great guitars and the same price range. This comes down to taste. The CC has a spruce top and a concert shape while the CD has a mahogany top and a dreadnought shape. Because of this, the CC is ideal for fingerpicking or solo playing, and the CD is great for lots of strumming with great volume. The CD's bodysize is also larger than the CC. However keep in mind that even though these guitars may shine in these specific areas you can play whatever style you want on both and still get a great sound. Best of luck! Let us know what you decide!
I have the all Mahogany CD 60s and really love it. I'm considering a CC 60SCE but can't decide if I want to stay with the Mahogany cutaway version or go with the black spruce top cutaway.

Thanks for the great review! Question: I can obviously hear that those guitars sound differently. Is it because you have them plugged on an amplifier and the electro one adds effects ? When UNPLUGGED will they sound identical ?
Just bought a brand new fender cc-60sce and I noticed there is some fret buzz on the 6th string. It is not normal. Isn't it? Is it a problem of neck adjustment or is it a guitar defect?
Nice review...thank you very much! I think I will suggest this model to one of my students who is looking for something smaller than a dreadnought. I love the song you play so beautifully that starts around 4:48. Could you tell e the name of it please? Thanks!

No, nylon strings are for nylon guitars/classical. All guitars have, laminated back and sides for this one and doesn't have an preamp/electronics, I believe tho they sell one with preamp
@@TheTruth70777 Thanks for your response -- I didn't understand your comment about preamps, since the cc-60s has no electronics. Is there a connection between that and nylon strings?
