Apologies, combo at 04:15 you can get another LK Jinrai > LK after the initial one or OD Jinrai > HK! Timing is tight but its possible Juggle into OD Jinrai, it's not shown but you can loop OR Jinrai a second time (this is shown in more detail in my latest Ken SF6 combo video)
best i can do off of c.hp is: C.hp, heavy jinrai, lk follow up, od jinrai hk follow up (only 1 hit), lk jinrai, lk follow up, hp dp for 3410 (max damage without super) C.hp, heavy jinrai, lk follow up, od jinrai hk follow up (only 1 hit), lk jinrai, lk follow, lvl 1 3730 C.hp, heavy jinrai, lk follow up, od jinrai hk follow up (only 1 hit), lk jinrai, lk follow, lvl 2 4210 C.hp, heavy jinrai, lk follow up, od jinrai hk follow up (only 1 hit), lk jinrai, lk follow, lvl 3 5130. Timing for OD jinrai after heavy jinrai is awkward, and you have to wait a bit for lk jinrai after od jinrai. Going to be a long ass time before i land it in a game, but it looks cool as fuck.
When I decide to learn a new character, I always feel like it can be a bit of a chore but when there are videos likes yours, you make it easy and fun. Thanks for all of your content!
4:15 You can extend this with an addition L Jinrai kick > L before the SRK. You can also OD jinrai > H to extend twice before the SRK as well. The timing is a little weird, but not too difficult.
Yea I do the extra L jinrai as well, the timing in my experience is very lax and you can just mash it out. The timing is only strict on the first light kick after heavy jinrai.
Hey Rush. I haven't tested all of these routes yet, but when comparing the double light jinrai and medium jinrai, I also found that the medium jinrai does more damage some time ago. BUT in the very specific situation where you don't want to spend meter but you want to use Level 3, the light jinrai route actually does more damage (4050 vs 3900). The medium does more damage for level 1 and 2, but for level 3, if you can get it consistent, you want to do the light jinrai loop. I haven't tested damage after DI yet, but for both Chin Buster > ... and CR LP > Chin Buster > ... starters, light jinrai into level 3 does more damage. Thoughts?
I haven’t tested it yet either, but don’t forget about potential meter gain vs damage when it comes to different routes. Double light jinrai could build more super meter. Gotta lab it out though!
I never use a level 3 at the end of a combo because the scaling is always so low at that point, it feels like a waste. I'd rather do my level 3 off of a single hit or DI if I'm being honest. lol.
Try this setup after you push someone with fire tatsu to the corner: inmediatly do heavy jinrai, forward LK, it goes meaty and can combo into chin buster, OD hadoken, low jinrai, forward LK and shoryu/CA. Funny thing is that if your opponent likes to reversal, you can bait with the first part of the jinrai, block the reversal and go for huge punish.
I've always found the light jinrai loop to always be too much effort for it to be worth it, when the combo you showed before with light jinrai heavy kick into hk does more damage, even if it's a little difference
After CHP > H jinrai > L followup, you can actually follow up with OD jinrai > H followup > OD Jinrai > M followup x2 into Lvl 3 super and it gives a lot of damage. The timing after the H jinrai L followup is pretty tricky though. I’ve got 62 percent damage on punish counter Jumping HK into that Jinrai loop and CA. If u DR into another CHP into that loop the scaling yields less damage so it’s a win-win for max damage and not being in burn-out.
So the combo you did in 04:13 still you can optimise the damage. After HK Jinrai>FW LK>OD Jinrai>FW HK>HK Jinrai HK>FW LK...which you can end it DP or any super. Also the end of this combo you can change the HK Jinrai>FW LK into another OD Jinrai>FW MK>FW MK>...and any super but this only if you want to kill as it will burn you drive meter
No cap man, i love your content, you really helped me push the ranks. Ive got a lot more to go but i got Ken to plat and its mostly from just watching your last two videos and grinding that info into muscle memory and using the foundation to apply it to my overall gameplan. Much love and looking forward to the next video
That's amazing, I love to hear when you guys are putting in the work and seeing the rewards. Watching is the easy part, implementation is the challenge, that's all on you ✊ 🔥
Hitting any timing-required 236LK6K juggle is a 2 frame timing. Most optimal combos require the higher hit which is a 1-frame timing such as the double 623LP one and the light jinrai to OD jinrai route I think it was. I'm sticking with 2HP 236HK6HK 623LP and airborne 236MK6HK, they're good enough for Daigo. 1-frame timings should be avoided and you don't get much out of the easier light jinrai juggle combos, except maybe in the case of 2HP236HK starter to supers.
Hey rush, at 2:34, I was wondering what would happen if you did jinrai into L follow up then into H follow up, since the H followup deals more damage, the total combo damage should even out or even surpass the other combo. I'll try it out myself when I can and get back to you.
May I ask if this jinrai kick routes are still viable nowadays, or something changed? Specifically I wanted to ask about chin buster into heavy jinrai, if I recall correctly, I heard this doesn't work anymore? What is the workaround for this?
Chin buster into HK Jinrai never worked, it's too slow. In the video I would have been doing MK Jinrai > HK followup For the grounded routes I am doing Stand MP into CR HP > HK Jinrai
Great guides Question for you. I am new to sf6, first sf ever. I play NRS games. This game is super fun, inputs quite a challenge. I have sort of put a pause on the run cancel combos. In another vid of yours, you say if you get c.HP mid screen to go into heavy jinrai for a juggle and this gives you a lot of possible Enders. Can you give me examples of good Enders after heavy c.HP - heavy jinra or OD jinrai? My problem right now is figuring out how to best cash out, what’s best for oki, damage, what supers connect.. after cHP heavy jinrai midscreen. Thank you keep it up all great info And also I get a lot of shimmys with sHP.. If I have full bars and want to unload 2 DR off of a sHP starter.. what is the non opti but good route here? Without the run cancel. So many options in this game which I like but man it’s a lot
For combos it shines in the corner You can use it in neutral for meterless combos or pressure strings. They can be a tad risky used mid screen / in neutral as they are punishable in certain situations
Hey Rush, love your content, you’ve helped me a lot but sometimes you tend to talk quite a lot about a combo and might talk about what’s optimal or not before then showing the actual combo route. This can be a lot to take in sometimes. Might I suggest you show the combo a few times well as you’re talking about it so we can see and understand rather than at the end where we have to remember everything you said and look at the combo one time. I keep having to replay certain portions to really take in how things flow. I feel that small change would be great. Love you content. Keep at it 🙏🏽

Thanks man! I tested this and yes you're right. The scaling in this game is interesting. One to us to remember when going into level 3
@@RushG Yup, it’s gonna be hard to get this one down in the muscle memory. Love the Ken videos, keep ‘em coming!

Very sick. I'll look into this
This. Is the video I’ve been waiting for. Thank you.
Wow a year later and it’s crazy to see the evolution of this game
I've always found the light jinrai loop to always be too much effort for it to be worth it, when the combo you showed before with light jinrai heavy kick into hk does more damage, even if it's a little difference
This is what i love about Rush G always goes for simple not too complicated routes
I saw Daigo doing some of these combos and did not know how to do them till know, thanks! I gotta keep trying
Great job, my favorite channel since now

I can't loop light jenri to save my life 😢
Yo just wanna say thanks for putting in the time to help us out, your videos are dope 😎
My pleasure man ✊ 🔥
If you do the 2hp into heavy jinrai 6L you can juggle into light jinrai 6L and pick any super ended you want for maximum damage.
This is super helpful actually. Been playing Dhalsim and wanted to have a pocket Ken. It was hard to tell which Jinrai kick to use in each scenario
Keep it up man. Thanks for everything. (oki vid, let's go)

Subbed because I'm maining Ken, ty so much!
In the corner you can get stand fierce heavy Jinrai light follow up od jinrai heavy follow up heavy dp, only two drive and does big damage
I think this is on punish counter only?
So glad you’re doing these man, ima whoop my friends asses once I master Ken a bit more lmao
Jinrai!!!!!
You the Goat

Good question. Unfortunately there's no follow up juggle after the F + HK
Where did you get that Hori FC controller layout ?
I used gamepadviewer.com/ but its a custom overlay created by - twitter.com/jayraydee
May I ask if this jinrai kick routes are still viable nowadays, or something changed? Specifically I wanted to ask about chin buster into heavy jinrai, if I recall correctly, I heard this doesn't work anymore? What is the workaround for this?

His Roundhouse range is crazy! I can’t wait until he gets nerfed!
Why is my follow up light kick after the light jinrai not landing? Can't get the juggle
You have to slightly delay it. If you mess around with the timings eventually you'll find the sweet spot
All these different delays mess with my head in matches, hard to remember
Yeah it's really tough. But focus on these 3 and I feel we'll be fine
I can't get the OD Jinrai 6Hk to cancel into M Jinrai, anyone know what's up with that?
Are you talking about the OD Jinrai follow up or juggling it into Medium Jinrai?
how about cr.hp, then heavy jinra follow up by heavy kick, that has really good damage too
It is i agree. However you'll be limited to a LP DP follow up
when tryin to do mk jinrai to hk the hk keeps missing what am i doin wrong?
Timing. You need to delay HK Jinrai
@@RushG when i delay the hk it just becomes a normal hk?? i'll keep trying thanks
Delaying it too long 😅
Gotta find that sweet spot in the middle. Which combo are you trying you doing, entirely from start to finish?
@@RushG it's all good found the timing now and can do them now 😄
I really can't get that second light dp in the trials. What the hell is up with that?
That combo is ridiculously hard to get the timing. I did it eventually whilst streaming but took me a fair few goes
So is Jinrai only good in the corner?
For combos it shines in the corner

Thanks Raj, yeah this video for a lot of similar feedback, it's already been taken on board and future videos are much better
Let’s play. We need to do since we can play eachother across the world
talks too much and doesn't show much
A lot of people provided this feedback, I took it onboard, improving future videos
oh nice, i was barely incorporating these because i didnt understand juggle conditions at all
Kens the coolest, and Rush_G is the coolest ken main... Deadace is good too
