I've been playing the game and watching your videos since the "practical combo guide" you made a while ago and in that time I've actually become good enough to incorporate cr.hp run to my gameplay. I'm such a good student that I don't need your "easy mode" videos anymore lol Keep up the good work nonetheless man
thanks Rush! excellent video! Just to add, as a newer player... even easier for me than dr.c->sMP->crHP is dr.c->sMP->chin buster. You can even do dr.c->sMP->sMP->dr.c->sMP->chin buster->run dp super, etc. Not as optimal for sure but basically mashing sMP is easy for my beginner brain in a scramble. Looking forward to evolving my routes into the crHP run/stop routes that look so damn cool.
I do this too. I saw a master Ken player using this against Smug last night, so there's no shame in it! You get an extra frame compared to crMP for the link. Not that you need it but it makes it so braindead easy.
i didnt think this would be this good of a video but you made it really clear with writing on screen and stuff, great job. only thing making it better would be chapters :D
@@RushG since you replied, idk if you would care to make it but in SF5 another youtuber did and it got good views, if you make a "Ken: Bronze gameplan", etc for all ranks. Since most players are gold and below, a simple set of moves to use and not waste time on flashy combos but just what to focus on for each rank. LIke bronze, 1 big punish, 1 small punish, a way to use meter, probably crHP for AA, and a way to use drive gauge. Not sure if you'd want to make it but i think it could be pretty easy, helpa lot of people out and get some good views! either way, subbed :)
Great upload Rush, loving your content. Apologies if this has already been covered, but I was blown away by Angry Bird's use of DR > 5P to snuff MenaRD. Do you think a video covering different options for getting aggressive with drive rush in neutral would be worth covering? There's some obvious combo starters, like with what you mentioned in this video, but a more detailed break down of options that can cover specific scenarios would be really interesting for me to get your opinions on. Thanks!
Hey Richard, thanks. I plan to go over some of AngryBird's matches, I have some other video concepts I plan to cover first but after that we will move to his Evo games. If I am honest, I feel his use of Drive Rush had so many levels to it, amzing stuff!
@rush that las combo did hella damage I need to do that one cuz I’ve been trying to figure out how I could use level2 and that looks like it might be it
This is the biggest mystery in SF6, the way I see it there's no universal answer to raw Drive Rush, the range they are at, the button they use out of DR and the button you use to check DR are the variables 😭
4:37 These are dope. Quality content ❤
Chin Buster -> MK Jinrai + Fwd. HK -> HP Shoryuken is my best meterless corner combo and it does 2700 damage.
Yep. This is covered in the more generic combo videos. This video is more aimed at folks who are struggling with the optimal routes
Um ackshually, it does 2600 damage🤓
@@jenxy1078 shit. Might have had counter hit on last session.
Why is the damn HK so hard to land after the Jinrai kick
@@asadqureshy3125 you have to delay it slightly. I don't remember what frames you want to do it in.

Yeah this works too, very simple route to take and I agree shouldnt be slept on. Thanks for sharing!

Been loving the vids man, keep it up
Thanks as always man!
Thanks as always Rush! Easy to follow ^_^
MP into crHP takes a bit to get used to because i am used to doing chin buster everytime.
Every day I boot up SF6, I give a trip to combo trials for Ken and get plenty of opportunities to practice DR st. MP -> cr. HP.
@@TheAgore47 lol 20min in now and i am getting used to it. now i gotta execute it in actual play which another whole thing lol
Yeah it's it's like a backwards target combo. Can be tough to time at first as it's a tight window

Right on it boss. Thanks for the feedback

@@RushG Looking forward to it bro. Thanks again.
Excellent
It never occurred to me to try mashing out the lk followup for jinrai. My timing is bad so it always winds up coming out too early, or too late.
In the OD Fireball situation you can mash, other scenarios you can't unfortunately

Youre definitely capable of the more demanding combo routes IMO, these are good combo routes for people struggling to get more optimal
@@RushG I like that las one was optimal damage for 1 bar it was soo good

Amazing 😢
*thumbs up before watching*
What’s the best Ken button to check drive rush I’ve been just cLp but idk if it’s optimal

How do you do the sMP into run cancel target combo. Its so hard, does it have to be punish counter?
Stand MP or CR HP? I assume you mean Stand HP, run cancel target combo?
Has to be counter hit / punish counter or DR into CR HP
