Thank you Irene, you were a great tour guide at the quilt market. I have to also tell you how special you and your mother are, doing that trip together. My mother was a long time seamstress and I would have loved to have taken her to an event like that. Miss her dearly. Hold onto your mom really tight and enjoy all the days you have together. What a wonderful quilt market. I've never been to one so huge, I think I could get lost in there for days.
I worked for a quilt shop when I was in college, I spent my paychecks on fabrics. She went to the market each year and spent a lot of money and had awesome fabrics in her shop. It looks like you had a lot of walking but hopefully you were able to network and make some wonderful connections. Quilting is universal. It's a connecting thread that knows no boundaries or limitations.
Your smile makes me happy every time I see it. What a blessed young lady to have your mother there with you and enjoying quilting together. Happy travels!

Although I spend a full life behind the sewing machine, I started my first quilt a month ago and I am hooked. I watched already a lot of your videos to learn and get inspired! I think this was a great trip for you and your mam!
My happy for today was a nice long phone call with my grandma. Her hearing aids don't always sync up with the phone correctly & we missed Christmas with the flu, so it's been awhile since we've been able to have a proper chat...but today timing and hearing aids cooperated, and for that I am very happy and grateful.

Irene you are such an inspiration! I have only been making quilts for a year. I've been sewing for over 50 years but never thought I could ever make a quilt. I'm not sure exactly when, along this journey, that I found your channel; but whenever it was, I have followed you ever since. I not only love your quilts, but you have a sweet spirit about you. At 73 years of age and as a beginning sewist, I started 5 years ago, I am longing to attend a large show like the one you were at. Your excitement and clips have inspired me to start looking into what is being offered this year.
