It's one of those shows where every season is different and offers an unique experience. First season has a cozy feeling, it all happens in one city but it feels like you're watching the state of the whole world through it, season 2 is the least interesting plot-wise, but it has a lot of amazing concepts and with ton of relatable moments, season 3 is again showing the state of the world, but full scope, they show everyone's perspective of all the madness, and season 4 is really simple, and not much really happens, but it hits like a truck and has the perfect finale.
I'm really glad they're finally going to watch it. In past videos they mentioned it and it didn't seem like they were that enthused about starting it, but I knew this would be something they'd really like if they actually gave it a chance. It's got that kind of high stakes, character-driven story they seem to enjoy in Breaking Bad, The Expanse, etc.

is so weird how so few people watched this series, i watch more animated ones, but Mr Robot changed my perspective entirely, is probably my top series ever, truly a masterpiece, everyone should watch it seriously.
I started watching it as it was airing in 2015 and back then the viewership was very niche but i feel today mr is much more known and recognized, i would even dare to say it's mainstream
FYI, the season finales have post credit scenes that auto play will skip!!! You’ll have to manually fast forward to watch them. So 1-10, 2-12 and 3-10 make sure you watch those scenes!
Excited to see you all react to this show. It flew completely under the radar because USA Network, which produced the show, almost stopped promoting it entirely after the first season. Mr. Robot helped me out with many of my struggles back then and I will always remember it fondly. It holds a special place in my heart. Can't wait to see you all go on the journey.

This show is so damn good. Season 1 and Season 3 are two of the best seasons of television I've ever seen. My word the acting and writing was perfection.

Really excited to see your reactions to this. Easily a top 5 show of all time imo. An actual cult classic. If this show aired on HBO, it would have been an awards darling. But It's pretty cool seeing the show still gain new audiences after it ended. More so than other prestige TV like Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and BCS, Mr. Robot really changed the game for what can be accomplished on TV. Especially from a technical perspective. It's such a unique, singular vision with so much to say. And it somehow has grown more socially relevant with every year since its ending. Anyways, enjoy the ride!

I think Mr Robot has some episodes that are among the best single episodes of TV ever, but that is as far as I will go on that as I don't want to spoil or hint at anything. I am happy to watch reactions of either show but there are way more BB reactions than Mr Robot. When people I enjoy watching, who I know really get into characters and making predictions, are going to watch it is more exciting.

Just finished watching senpaierin's journey through the series, and though I really enjoyed her's I kept thinking of Lola and Melena and missing their intense empathy and emotional experience of the show, because it mirrors how the show has always affected me. omg yes mr.robot! i’m so excited for you to watch my favorite show of all time :D definitely an underrated show but it’s also one of the best of all time
This show is amazing, it's in my top 5. The best part about this show is that everything he is doing is real. The software he is using, the commands he is typing, the rootkits that are being written are real, they would actually work in real life. Later on you will see all sorts of hacker (pen testing) tools that he is using, they are all real tools.
There are infamously a ton of hints and foreshadowing details in the first few episodes, but my personal favorite is in this first episode. If LM happen to see this now after having finished the show (and assuming they did't already pick up on it- which they very well may have lol), or if anyone else is curious, it's when Mr. Robot and Elliot have that conversation on the bench in between trains where Mr. Robot is talking about his own father. He talks about he was a thief and what his phillosophy was, and then says "he was in prison." Then he looks in Elliot's eyes and says "Just like you are now, Elliot. And I'm going to break you out." With the knowledge that MM has Elliot trapped in a fantasy (which Mr. Robot refers to as a prison in the final episode), and that all Mr. Robot wants is to help Elliot, this line takes on a whole new meaning and is another fantastic example of how well planned out this show was.
I loved this show but it's not an easy one emotionally and a bit hard when it comes to the tech stuff at first viewing. It's a really clever one and full of details that I just know Lola will love to explore.

This show is tied with bojack horseman for my favourite show and favourite protagonist, Elliot is such an interesting and complex character, and there are so many crazy and emotional moments, especially in the later seasons, it’s gonna be a fun ride.
It's so hard to recommend this show to people at the first 5 episode, it's so edgy, and so slow at the start. But when you get to the twist, it's mind-blowing.
Worst thing about it is that its edgy, but it makes sense, because that's how Elliot is, he's a rotten individual and all he says about society is true, but he cannot cope with the truth and live respecting others, he's constantly venting, and the show is from his eyes so we see exactly how things are. Maybe for someone who hasn't been on his place, its too edgy, but for people who've had that mentality, it hits home and doesn't feel edgy at all.
The hacking in this series is very realistic. They had top notch technical advisors basically in charge of writing the hacks and creating all the stuff going on on the screens. The story writers told the experts what the general goal was, and then the technical advisors actually figured out how to do it. The series was prescient in some ways, predicting certain real world hacks before they happened. Other hacks were pretty much ripped from the headlines, from real world data breaches and attacks that had already happened in the recent past. The only thing they do that's unrealistic is the speed of everything. Real world hacks take a tremendous amount of research and time, and a lot of trial and error. Elliot is basically a savant at this, and so the process of figuring out exploits and taking over systems is accelerated. This is good for the story, as it keeps things moving. But otherwise, the stuff he does is completely plausible. The tools he uses are real tools. The sorts of vulnerabilities he exploits are real vulnerabilities. And the methodologies are real, too. I like the technical stuff a lot, and I know a fair bit about it so I enjoy the realism, but the show is mainly so great because of the characters and the drama. This is some high stakes stuff featuring some really interesting characters.
Just because Milena is so pretty, I'll say a couple of things: 1. MR ROBOT is greaaaaaat 2. By the end of the season it'll remind you of a great film from the 90s, if you happen to see it, no spoilers here! 3. All technical things mentioned in this show are accurate to software engineering. The black screen code instructions, the terminology like DDoS attacks, the processes to fight them off. The show is revered in this sense for it's commitment to verisimilitude 4. Milena 🔥🔥🔥

You girls are gonna love this show, easily one of the best shows ever created, ppl thinks The Expanse is the best show no one ever talks about, but this might be it, social commentary, mental health issues, capitalism, sexuality, greed, family I mean this show touches all the subjects other shows are too afraid to handle, you are gonna be in love with everyone.
This show is not for everyone. Sometimes it is too crazy and complicated to understand. But it's worth it. Every scene is a work of art. 10 out of 10.

I want to earnestly thank you for this reaction. I go days sometimes without confirmation that I am not alone in this world with my belief that the system is absurdly skewed and distorted while we all just accept it as unchangeable. Why billionaires even exist is beyond me, nobody 'earns' it. How many fires does a fireman need to extinguish, how many students does a teacher need to educate, or a nurse help ease the pain of to earn a billion? The .01% leech our labor. omg yes mr.robot! i’m so excited for you to watch my favorite show of all time :D definitely an underrated show but it’s also one of the best of all time
This show is amazing, it's in my top 5. The best part about this show is that everything he is doing is real. The software he is using, the commands he is typing, the rootkits that are being written are real, they would actually work in real life. Later on you will see all sorts of hacker (pen testing) tools that he is using, they are all real tools.
There are infamously a ton of hints and foreshadowing details in the first few episodes, but my personal favorite is in this first episode. If LM happen to see this now after having finished the show (and assuming they did't already pick up on it- which they very well may have lol), or if anyone else is curious, it's when Mr. Robot and Elliot have that conversation on the bench in between trains where Mr. Robot is talking about his own father. He talks about he was a thief and what his phillosophy was, and then says "he was in prison."
Then he looks in Elliot's eyes and says "Just like you are now, Elliot. And I'm going to break you out." With the knowledge that MM has Elliot trapped in a fantasy (which Mr. Robot refers to as a prison in the final episode), and that all Mr. Robot wants is to help Elliot, this line takes on a whole new meaning and is another fantastic example of how well planned out this show was.

I loved this show but it's not an easy one emotionally and a bit hard when it comes to the tech stuff at first viewing. It's a really clever one and full of details that I just know Lola will love to explore.
I cannot friggin wait for your reaction to this show. It is NUTS and some of the best acting ever. Only thing is there is so much to spoil that you honestly should not read any comments

This show is tied with bojack horseman for my favourite show and favourite protagonist, Elliot is such an interesting and complex character, and there are so many crazy and emotional moments, especially in the later seasons, it’s gonna be a fun ride.

It's so hard to recommend this show to people at the first 5 episode, it's so edgy, and so slow at the start. But when you get to the twist, it's mind-blowing.
Worst thing about it is that its edgy, but it makes sense, because that's how Elliot is, he's a rotten individual and all he says about society is true, but he cannot cope with the truth and live respecting others, he's constantly venting, and the show is from his eyes so we see exactly how things are. Maybe for someone who hasn't been on his place, its too edgy, but for people who've had that mentality, it hits home and doesn't feel edgy at all.

The hacking in this series is very realistic. They had top notch technical advisors basically in charge of writing the hacks and creating all the stuff going on on the screens. The story writers told the experts what the general goal was, and then the technical advisors actually figured out how to do it. The series was prescient in some ways, predicting certain real world hacks before they happened. Other hacks were pretty much ripped from the headlines, from real world data breaches and attacks that had already happened in the recent past.
The only thing they do that's unrealistic is the speed of everything. Real world hacks take a tremendous amount of research and time, and a lot of trial and error. Elliot is basically a savant at this, and so the process of figuring out exploits and taking over systems is accelerated. This is good for the story, as it keeps things moving. But otherwise, the stuff he does is completely plausible. The tools he uses are real tools. The sorts of vulnerabilities he exploits are real vulnerabilities. And the methodologies are real, too.
I like the technical stuff a lot, and I know a fair bit about it so I enjoy the realism, but the show is mainly so great because of the characters and the drama. This is some high stakes stuff featuring some really interesting characters.
Yes, can’t believe you started watching this show. you will love the show and incredible ending.

Just because Milena is so pretty, I'll say a couple of things:
1. MR ROBOT is greaaaaaat
2. By the end of the season it'll remind you of a great film from the 90s, if you happen to see it, no spoilers here!
3. All technical things mentioned in this show are accurate to software engineering. The black screen code instructions, the terminology like DDoS attacks, the processes to fight them off. The show is revered in this sense for it's commitment to verisimilitude

I hate Black Sails lost. You guys would love it. As great a show as it is. It will have issues winning any Patreon poll. Because it's still a very under the radar show. You would love the series. It also sticks the landing. Unlike so many other shows.
