There were *many* times during this series where I thought they'd lost the thread or it was never going to make sense, but don't worry, they pull all the threads back together, bit by bit
@@IwinMahWay Whatever it was, it put him at peace, they were safe. A trap device with sound maybe, and it can represent a blue death screen. It's a really artsy moment so I think its just up to interpretation.
the camera work is some of the most unique decision making I felt in a series when it came out. I was used to gritty hand held work from the years, with a few shows not so much like Mad Men. But this series felt so risky and brave with it's decision to keep it's main characters on edges of the screen with so much of the rest of the world showing.
Love the discussion! Don't worry, Mr. Robot can be very confusing for everyone, especially in the beginning. But it is done for a purpose. Everything is revealed and explained later as the show progresses. :)
One of the best things about this show is the intricate attention to detail that comes from its consistent vision from start to finish. There’ll be some peculiar lines or cryptic scenes you won’t fully understand at first, but will see in a whole new light on a repeat viewing once knowing the context of later events in the show. You would be pleasantly surprised to see how many details are hidden in even the first few episodes of the show that rewards the viewer for noticing up until the finale. Can’t wait to see the rest of your reactions!
Yeah, the show consistently surprised me with how many things were seeded early but simply overlooked by me on first watch. Reminds me of Babylon 5 in that regard, which was another series planned out from the start.
Be very careful of spoilers. I'm already seeing people referring to stuff that doesn't happen until much later in the show. Nothing too blatant yet, but if that continues people will get bolder with spoilers. I hope you have a good moderator to delete comments or filter them for you. Anyway, the series definitely had a plan from the start. I didn't know it was originally meant as a movie, but I do remember the creator at the time talking about how there was a specific number of seasons the show was going to last and that he didn't want to just keep coming up with new stuff to stretch it out. The show does wrap up quite nicely in the end, with pretty much every question answered, even those you hadn't really thought to ask. And sure enough, if you go back and rewatch it, the seeds were there all along. The show takes its time to grow those seeds, but I was captivated by this series right away and really enjoyed seeing it develop over the seasons. The speculation and discussion you'll be able to have will match that of some of the best shows you've watched on this channel.
Look at how few views on Mr Robot videos compared to others , I don't understand what's wrong with people. Why can't people understand that this series is a real masterpiece? Why is this series not noticed by a large audience ?

I'll say everything has meaning in this show. Over the 4 seasons everything will be explained things that didn't make sense at the time ar revealed. The show paces the reveals very well you're always getting a new morsel to feast upon.
Everything is very intentional - the creator even starts directing *every episode* starting with Season 2 to make sure that everything is exactly how it should be so that you know when you are watching/analyzing, it has a reason
This show is so good. It's is one of the few shows I've watched multiple times and even now after not seeing it for a few years the tension ramping up is getting me hyped again, even though I know exactly what's happening. I love Darline's energy.
You're approaching this show EXACTLY the right way. It is intentionally designed to be theorized over - and it plays everything completely fair in it's clues and mysteries. I can't say more then that, but rest assured, there is intentionality in every aspect of the writing and direction towards the big picture.

I wish I could go back and experience it all again for the first time. I’ve watched it all may times, and is the absolute best series, front to back, ever made.
That's funny, you called it morphium, perhaps incorrectly, but that's the German word for morphine. A German doctor was the first person in history to extract the drug from opium.
I believe it's called multiple personality disorder, and is a rare variant of dissociative Schizophrenia. At this point, never having watched the show before, I'm assuming that the show is going to fall into the usual trope of presenting evil as the attempt to refashion society with the defeat of evil constituting a restoration of the status quo ante, which is the standard narrative in epics. In which case fsociety would again have to fail but also be revealed as somehow worse, or no better than Evil Corp. Then they can do the standard thing in long conflict shows which is have the heroes and villains team up and change sides until people stop caring and the show gets cancelled. So I hope they don't do that, like they did with the show Revenge where the revenge was perpetually delayed while they had the characters change sides multiple times. I think the more innovative direction, and the braver direction politically, would be for fsociety to remain the good guys and actually have substantial progress in improving things for the world. But I'm doubtful, just because of the usual way shows develop.
Sorry if I missed something, but why is everyone saying "Evil Corp" when it's actually just called E Corp, no? I thought it was just Elliot who called them Evil Corp. Is he just imagining it?
