- My second Sample Book. I was looking for a name for it, but the cover was meant for fabric samples, it seems like a good name. A perfect way to create a book with a few pages, either paper, tissue paper or fabric.
For me it was a great way to experiment with the gorgeous stamp sets, stencils and paperback from Taylor Made Journals. I found it to combine really well with all my other products.
I even showed some embossing, I am going to show some more in upcoming video’s.
Thanks for watching and for your support.
Hope you got inspired! xx Marian

This is stunning! I love all the little details you've added - like the little safety pin on the lace pocket.
Thank you 😊. There’s a lot of fun in adding the details. The feeling arises like: it needs a little…. and then looking for it. Love it.
Amazing!!!!!❤❤❤Love Taylor made journal 💖💖💖💕💕💕love this things you make 😆🤗
Thank you! Yes these stamps are so great, I love them.
This is awesome, such a wonderful project my friend. I am so excited to see you creatign with the collections XXXX
Thanks Lorna 💖. It is such a joy using them.
This is really lovely! You always make such beautiful things and I really enjoy seeing your creative process. I think I may “have” to invest in 1 or 2 of these stamp sets.
Thank you Pollydale. These stamps are very lovely, I will keep using them.
You have some really good ideas! Lovely booklet. The Taylor made Jornal stamps - stamp very nice, have not used any of those.
Thank you so much. I do love this booklet. I can imagine making some with a botanical theme.
How fantastic is this!!!
Thank you so much 😊.
When embossing, I just pounce the anti static bag lightly on the cardstock/paper, which avoids getting too much powder on the paper. I’ve never used the distress glazes on stamped images, and I wonder if they are very good for detailed images. You might be better off using a detail/super fine clear embossing powder over your colored stamp ink if you find the glazes don’t give you a crisp enough image for a stamp like your lady’s face.
You are probably right, it’s trying and learning and I don’t mind if it goes wrong. I also heard that with a a cling rubber stamp it gets more detailed. I think I like stamping a bit more then embossing, but I do like experimenting, so I can’t help myself LOL. Do you have a favorite brand for embossing powder?
@@mariansmixedmedia Sorry to take so long to reply. My favorite is Bmuse, which company is no longer in business. If you like, I could send some to you if you want to do more practicing. I’ve been trying to see if I can locate extra jars I know I had (I used to have a teeny tiny stamp shop) but haven’t found them yet (we moved house, and I still have stuff in boxes in the basement). If I can find it, I’d be happy to try to send some-I’ve never sent anything overseas from the U.S. but it can’t be too hard, can it? Even if I can’t locate the extra jars, I can pull some from the (double sized, still very full) jars I have and send you some in those handy little plastic bags.
I *adore* embossing. I love Bmuse because it is *all* detail powder, finely milled. The company produced some cool color combination, mixing a little of this color with some of that. (I know Wow embossing powders also have (non-detail) mixed colors, but I’ve never tried them-they have a small range of interesting Seth Apter mixed metallic colors-like grungy verdigris.). I also like Stampendous (non-detail) single color metallic powders, like carnelian.
Anyway, your style is very impressive and your videos are both informative and entertaining! It’ll take me a bit of time to organize, but I’d like to be able to encourage you (but not force you!) to delve into the realm of embossing powders.
@@nabbyr8112 i’d love that. Let’s work something out. This is my email makketan@live.nl
