Question, when I watched the anime there were multiple scenes of shin with mangekyou in the other eyes on his body so I don’t think that’s the reason, so if not that what would be the reason for him not using the Susanoo?

Dude imagine if Obito had his Susano’o. Dude was broken with just one Sharingan.
The susano would interfere with his close range Kamui ability. It only works if he has both so he can have defense and use Kamui from far range and it would have to be perfect susano because a regular susano isn’t that op in terms of war arc characters. Obito in fact never had a susano though. Kakashi awakened susano ,but that susano is stated to be kakashi’s. Obito has never unlocked it and has both ms at once time in his life ,so it’s safe to say he couldn’t unlock it. Fugaku and Izuna also never had one. Shisui didn’t have one either if we talk about canon not filler.

@@fairyboy444 Well your guaranteed a Susano’o if you have both eyes with both Mangekyou unlocked. It’s the 3rd and most stressful power you unlock. Sasuke even stated, “A power only those who have awakened the Mangekyou in both eyes can achieve…the Susano’o.” He just didn’t have both eyes when he awakened his Mangekyou. And the moment he has both of them together, Kakashi is able to use the Susano’o. Madara even states, “Only with BOTH eyes can the true power of the Sharingan be unleashed.” Obito always had 1. As soon as Kakashi and Obito were in close proximity the speed of Kamui was doubled. People forget Kamui was always working at half speed because they were never working together.
@@Dj-fb8bs It’s specifically stated that by Itachi and Sasuke and databooks specifically #4, that when they first show theirs, is that the Susano’o is the 3rd power you unlock, and in the databooks says after a short period of time after using both Mangekyou powers, assuming you still have both, you will eventually unlock the ability to use Susano’o. Izuna, Fugaku, and Shisui are all characters that have little to no screen time, so I’m not surprised we don’t see it from them. We barely know they’re Mangekyou abilities outside of Koto Amatsukami. So let me get this straight, a pure blooded Uchiha who’d if he’d had both eyes couldn’t figure out how to use the Susano’o, something he naturally would’ve unlocked the more he used his eyes, wouldn’t have unlocked it, even though he’d be connected to his Susano’o on a spiritual level, however a guy not even from the Uchiha clan would be able to unlock and have an easier time using the Susano’o, even though he was using Obito’s eyes. I’m not understanding how he wouldn’t be able to unlock and use it since it’s the 3rd power your given after having both Mangekyou Sharingan’s. You honestly believe he’d have a hard time learning to use it, but considering as soon as he got both eyes, was able to instantly look and understand how to open a Kaguya sized dimension with the help of 100 healings. Instantly understanding that his Kamui is an extremely diluted and weakened version of Kaguya’s dimensional travel. The only reason Kakashi was able to even use the Susano’o was because he had the powers of Obito’s eyes together, yet if Obito had the EYES HE WAS BORN with and naturally would be better at using considering he was an Uchiha, wouldn’t be able to figure out how to use it? Completely asinine. Obito never had the ability to use it because he never had both eyes, except for the last 10 minutes of his life, plus he was drained of chakra from opening those Kaguya sized dimensions, and would’ve sped up his death had he used it, considering it takes a massive amount of chakra when you first start using it. He didn’t even have his eyes long enough to learn to use it. A Susano’o is a guaranteed if you have both eyes long enough, it’s your 3rd and final power. If your the strongest dude in the Akatsuki, I’m pretty sure you’d be able to use a Susano’o if you have both eyes. Also, Kakashi shows that he was able to keep the Susano’o manifested and use the phase through Kamui or close range Kamui in the battle against Kaguya. The same way Sasuke was able to use Amaterasu and Kagetsuchi while having his Susano’o manifested against the Raikage. The same way Itachi was able to use Amaterasu while having Sasuke wrapped around his Susano’o in the fight against Kabuto. The same way Itachi and Sasuke broke each other out of genjutsu when having both their Susano’o activated and Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke to break him out. Go back and watch. This proves you in theory you can use all 3 abilities at once if you have both eyes. But Obito would’ve been beyond broken if he could have a Susano’o, phase ability, and snipe people with his left eye. He would’ve probably beaten everyone, because his Susano’o would’ve evolved at least to stage 3, when you have armor around it, and would’ve continually been healed by Hashirama cells. Imagine finally breaking through his Susano’o and he phases through your attack. Then he uses his left eye against you and attacks you with whatever his Susano’o weapon would’ve been.
There is a fan design for Obito’s V4 (Armored) Susano’o-It’s actually quite good, but a full CGI model would be much appreciated. Also, I wish that after Obito’s Heel-Face Turn (or perhaps during/after the Kakashi/Obito fight in the Kamui dimension), Obito had gradually awakened Susano’o (perhaps awakening the Susano’o together).

Kishimoto has explained that using eye dojutsu evolves your chakra to the point where you can still use the abilities even when you lose your eyes. There are a surprising number of examples of this. The Susano which Sasuke can use would be much-weakened, but he could technically still surround himself with a Susano-cloak.
I've always just wanted to now how Itachi aquired the Yata Mirror and the Sword of Totsuka. IIRC, Orochimaru spent some time searching for these two artifacts, even though they seem like Susano'o-specific weapons. Did he find them and use a jutsu to hide them in his Susano'o? And now that he's dead, are the weapons gone forever since they were a part of his Susano'o?

So I’d like to say something, I must tell you Itachi’s sussano is not all that. 1 the sword of todesuka is only able to seal a weaker person than it. 2 the yata mirror only works if itachi is able to generate enough chakra. So he can’t just deflect Indras arrow and seal sasuke. So don’t say itachi folds sasuke like paper airplane

I love the video, it was very informative. I didn't know a lot about this extra Japanese Mythology, so it's cool to learn about.
But, I at about 8:00 or so you say that the Raikage couldn't crack Madara's Susanoo's ribcage, but he could crack Sasuke's due to their difference in skill level with it. Honestly, I'd personally taken as that more of an attest to the vast gap in power held between Sasuke and Madara in comparison to The Raikage.
As for the the part about what it requires to use one at about 10:000 in, I have a theory about this. It's something I've discussed at length with friends of mine.
1) As a born Uchiha with MS, you must unlock and manifest both of your Mangekyou Sharingan's abilities in your possession simultaneously. Once this is done, that person can then use them regardless of however many eyes they have.
2) Any Non-Uchiha who manages to get ahold of a complete pair of someone's Mangekyou Sharingan, only then can they access the Susanoo. Which would explain why Obito never unlocked his, and why Kakashi never used Obito's due to only having one of the Kamui eyes until the very end.
When a non-Uchiha has the strongest and brightest Susano

Kakashi only had a Susanoo because obito possessed his eyes after he died so the powers was only gonna be temporary and only work for him cause he had an uchiha have that kind of connection to him after death. Madara having a susanoo without eyes when he already had the power makes more sense than expecting kakashi to keep his powers when they were borrowed from the jump…
Consensus seems to be this:
1. if you're an actual with uchiha blood and have unlocked susanoo once, You can use it whether you've lost 1 eye or 2.
2. If you ARENT an uchiha, you need 2 MS eyes.
And 3. you need 2 MS eyes in general to unlock it the first time.
The no eyes susanoo is easy to explain. Based on tobirama's explanation, the source of the sharingan is in an uchiha's brain, not their eyes. Their eyes respond to the chakra sent from the brain and change form, and stay like it consuming chakra until they receive the signal to revert, which only brains with uchiha chakra are able to do.
So in theory, if an uchiha loses an eye and gets an eye transplant from a non-uchiha, as long as their sharingan didn't go blind through MS overuse or izanami/izanagi, they should still be able to turn that transplanted eye into a sharingan. As shown by kakashi, upon receiving obito's chakra, both of his non-uchiha eyes became sharingan.
The susanoo is unlocked by unlocking the abilities of both of your MS eyes, those abilities use the eyes as a medium from which they're executed.
If you have an MS ability, and say you temporarily lose your eye, you still have that ability, but it needs your eye's vision to be executed. When you get your eye back you can use that ability again, you never lost it, just couldn't use it.
The susanoo does not require vision to be executed, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to use it with your eyes close or if you blinked, every other sharingan ability requires uninterrupted vision.
I also speculate that when you lose your sharingan through MS use, the eye itself is not at all affected, instead, the chakra connection from the eye to the brain shuts off, blocking vision. If you have no eyes, but the connection has not shut off, you can still use the susanoo.
Somehow though, the MS of a close family member is capable of regenerating that connection. It is shown that the user's chakra remains in their eyes as the two uchiha MS patterns merge, so that may be why?
my thought on this is that the only reason Madara could use the susano without his eyes is that he had previously awakened the rinnengang which is noted to be the final evolution of the sharingang. this does explain why someone else like Kakashi and Obito could not use the susano without both eyes, was because they had not awakand the rinengang naturally like Madara had done. And before someone points out that Obito also had the rinnengang during the war arc, remember that was Madaras originally so it could be that in order to get all the advantages like Madara enjoid one need to go through all the sharingang evolutions instead of the rinnengang being given like with Pain and Obito. Pain had both of those eyes for years and he never demonstrated any of the basic sharingang abilities or the most advanced ones something that I feel supports the argument of in order to get a susano that is not dependent on having both or no eyes. one needs to first go though all that sharingang stages and then unlock the rinnengang naturally something that only Madara have done.
This doesn't address why Kakashi can't use the Susanoo anymore since Madara could use it without eyes
@@didack1419 It seems that having the special sharingan chakra flowing through you is the only requirement for using the susanoo after you unlock it, since Itachi used it while blind and Madara used it without eyes.
If Kakashi had both of his eyes destroyed while Obito's chakra was still inside him, he'd still be able to use the susanoo.
But after Obito left, he can't, with or without eyes, as he doesn't have the uchiha chakra in him anymore.

My head canon is that the weapons of each susanoo are unique to their user. Just like MS abilities are unique.
So as far as Orochimaru looking for the weapons, I feel like someone in the past unlocked mangekyo and created a susanoo that came with the yata mirror and totsuka blade. He became famous and the weapons became part of myth.
Orochimaru heard the myth or read it in some ancient scroll and went looking for it. Not knowing that they weren’t actual physical objects.
As for how itachi got it, maybe he was the reincarnation of the last person to use it or maybe there’s only a few kinds of weapons that a susanoo can come with and itachi just happened to unlock them.

Here's my thought: Madara could use Susanno because he had unlocked it and was genetically an Uchiha, whereas Kakashi was a plug and play Susanno - no plug, no play.
Makes sense right as Uchicha are built for Sharigan so they should have the dna to keep the sussanoo even after they lose it while if some else would lose it

My theory for madara being able to use susanoo despite missing his eyeballs is that: because his original sharingan had progressed to rinnegan, madara gained all the kekegenkai associated with both uchiha and senju permanently. Even tho his eyes were removed he could still access all schools of chakra and yinyang release. And by extension, susanoo. Basically becoming a being with the chakra of sage of six paths allows you to use pretty much any jutsu you want.
By that logic sasuke should be able to use his after losing his rinnegan

I want you to debunk the thought of Itachi's susano being the perfect susano, I mean it can't even fly
I also genuinely appreciate that Madara and Hashirama were so powerful that Madara didn't really think of Kurama as a doomsday weapon but more as a quick way to double his Chakra pool. He fought Hashirama on semi-equal footing for a LONG TIME after Kurama was put to sleep. In fact, it was only because Hashirama was uncharacteristically sneaky about letting Madara take down a wood clone that Hashirama won.
So if someone was to hit Itachi’s susano’o with a kekkei genkai jutsu like ice style or something then would it still change chakra nature because if so then would that mean Itachi could use that kekkei genkai chakra nature too?

The Susanoo material can be shaped and manipulated to take on different shapes and froms, with an example of this being when Madara and Sasuke use their Susanoo to create custom fitted armor for Kurama. Now what if they were to condense the size of their Susanoo giant by decreasing volume therefore as result they are also increasing their Susanoo's density?
Essentially, their Susanoo would be a whole lot smaller but since it uses the same amount of mass which is just condensed down, the density (strength) of their Susanoo material is dramatically increased.
This way Sasuke can create custom fitted armor around himself and regrow his lost arm (except his arm would made out of Susanoo material instead of flesh and bones). The armor would not be this huge giant Susanoo, but instead the same height as Sasuke.
Furthermore, since Sasuke would have full complete 360 degree control of his Susano, he can shoot out spikes from any direction out of his Susanoo armor, similar to how Naruto can throw invisible punches using his Sage Mode with the punches coming any part of his body.
The Susanoo is incredibly underrated. The Uchiha literally have the power of the Green Lanterns FROM THEIR EYEBALLS!!! Imagine being able to casually construct whatever physical object and shape your imagination desires.

itachi used susanoo against sasuke while he no longer had sharingan and was completely blind. once you awaken the susanoo it seems that you can use it even without sharingan which means that kakashi could potentially still use susanoo (and only susanoo) in the boruto manga

I have some reasons why madara can use the susanoo blind.
1. Because madara had awoken both ems sharingan so it was stronger than a normal mangekyou while Kakashi only awoken mangekyou so he couldn’t get it back
2. In the anime after madara got revived we saw that his rinnegan eyes broke so he couldn’t use limbo but maybe he had some powers of the sharingan left

It is really interesting how the Anime changed so many colors not only the colors of the different Susanoo but also of the Rasengan which is actually yellow in the Manga (check the cover of volume 52).
Well. Debateably, Madara was a reanimation at the time of using susanoo without sharingan. Even once released the jitsu formula is still taking his eternal soul and pinning it to a body.
In much the same way that obitos spirit was able to bridge an astral gap to give kakashis access to his susanoo, we have to consider that madara was also pulling his abilities from some astral realm. And because each had technically achieved mangekyo in both eyes (Obito through kakashis sharingan, which are connected) their spirit would have in life amassed the chakra to do so.
In both cases these individuals were crossing from life into death, so special rules most likely apply.

I feel like shishui has a green susanoo because green represents envy in a lot of cultures and he got the mangekyou because he let a friend die mostly because he was envious of his friends power. Shishui wasn't an evil or hateful person which would be the other reason they didn't go with a dark color.
I think you need to have uchiha blood and cells to be able to do that with no eyes so kakashi had no uchiha blood or cells so couldn’t do what madara did

Regarding the Susano’o, I can explain why Madara was able to use it. So in one of the databooks, it states that once someone has a certain chakra within them, it’s within them forever, even if it’s lost, the chakra. For example a Kurama or Shukaku, or blind Madara can still briefly use it avatars or Susano’o because it’s just an extremely weakened version of that residual chakra. It’s just not as potent and it’s how Shisui was able to manifest his Susano’o after having an eye taken, Itachi was able to use his Susano’o after being blind, Gaara was still able to use a small portion of the One -Tails and Madara was able to manifest his. They just can only keep it up for a few seconds.

Let me explain the argument in full, You must have two of your own Mangekyo Sharingan to obtain the Susanoo. Once you obtain it you will forever have access to it whether you have one eye or two UNLESS your Sharingan goes blind. Kakashi didn't own the Sharingan and they effectively went blind after his usage. Since they technically weren't EMS he also shouldn't have been able to obtain Perfect Susanoo either. But Obito from beyond the grave gave Kakashi his chakra including the reminents of the six paths power Obito got from the 10 tails. This effectively granted him a limited usage of EMS as if he had his own Sharingan. However, since this required several limited resources once it was expended he couldn't do so again because he isn't an Uchiha by blood.
Maybe to unlock the Susano'o you have to have both Mangekyo's in your face when they become Mangekyo's, or at the very least reunite a set of Mangekyo's that weren't in the same person when they evolved.
With Kakashi and Obito, yeah they're the same set and became Mangekyo's at the same time but they were in two different people. I'm guessing the reason Kakashi went from 0-100 seconds after getting both Mangekyo's is because both eyes had a 10+ years of experience in that state and being used almost constantly.
We know Shisui had both of his eyes when they became Mangekyo, so him being able to use Susano'o after Danzo plucked one of his eyes out makes sense there.
Shin's Mangekyo never had a pair, it was a completely synthetic one off.
Itachi had both of his eyes when they became Mangekyo's.
Madara not only had both of his Mangekyo's in his face, his set became Eternal Mangekyo's (and of course later Rinnegan). That's probably why Madara is the only person we've seen go completely blind and still be able to use Susano'o, he's the only other person we know of who had EMS.

Edit: Kakashi was probably able to use a perfect susano because both the ms had been used so much and in naruto the more you use somethings the stronger all the effects of that thing become, and also kakashi probably didn't ever use susano again because it would be to much for his body to handle at the ripe age of 40+ and would die instantly

Merge Susano like creating a megazord? Would be cool. They are already the size of mountains at the biggest we have seen. Perfect Susano are as tall as skyscrapers on average. A megazord form would probably as tall as the Burj Khalifa. That's 800m+ in hight.

If sasuske's dark blue and Itachi's yellow (or red) merged to make a purple or green susano to either relate to indra or shisui in some form. Would've been a cool touch. Sarada is my favorite character in Boruto but it's hard to imagine her getting a stronger Susanoo than Kakashi's.
My questions are: how will she get a mangekyo sharingan? How will she turn it into eternal mangekyo?
@@Sergote12 i don't see her getting EMS but there are a few ways she could get MS that aren't a stretch.
Kakashi didnt even had sharingans when he used susanoo. In fact, he didnt even use susanoo. Obito just needed an alive body to project his susanoo from the afterlife and Kakashi happened to be there. So Kakashi never unlocked susanoo, Obito did. Therefore, an user can use susanoo without sharingans,he just needs 2 ms sharingans to unlock it.
Kakashi couldn’t activate the Susanoo anymore due to him losing Obito borrowed eyes and chakra. So since he was never a real Uchiha he couldn’t reactivate the Susanoo.
Madara even who no eyes, he’s also a full blooded Uchiha had access to activating at any point of time. If you looked at Itachi with the fight with Sasuke he was literally blind but still has access to his Susanoo. Sushi had access with one MS. So I believe it within there chakra if they wanna access there Susanoo as long you had both eyes activated before.
Obito couldn’t activate the Susanoo is because he never had both eyes within him even though both eyes were activated at the same time. His body never felt both eyes open inside so he only had half the power.

But I disagree completely. Once you unlock susano. You know know how to use it. It developes with sharingans but once you have the knowledge u can manifest it. Probably weaker doe.

Madara could have still used the Susanoo because he’s had such experience with it basically mastering it over the years
If Sasuke ended up with Tenten, their offspring could’ve had a Susano that can use all of the weapons we’ve seen other Susanos use.
My 2 cents on the “requirements to use Susanoo” if you call it. A possibility of why madara could use it without eyes, could be that once you achieve the EMS (Eternal Mongekio Sharingan, which I probably mis-spelt something here), you can use the ability without eyes. Which is probably why sasuke, kakashi, and itachi could not use it anymore when their MS went out and they went blind (kakashi just being regular eyes since his one good eye was never implanted, and plot armor maybe? I know he needed to use a lot more chakra to use the sharingan because he didn’t have uchiha blood), but madara could. The only hole in this theory is shisui (granted you do use his susanoo from the game as a possible canonical thing) since he could use it with one, non eternal, eye. I think madara was the only one who could use the susanoo without eyes or being blind in both eyes
Itachi was able to use his Susano'o without even activating his normal sharingan, let alone his MS.
@@jpfan4life812 my theory is once an uchiha unlocks mangekyou and susano regardless of activating sharingan or not they can use it since kakashi isn't an uchiha he cant use it since his blood isn't of an uchiha and u didn't really unlock susano until he got 2nd ms from obito and after his 2 ms faded away his power to use susano was also faded since he wasn't an uchiha and was only using power of an uchiha like its just saying u don't have a pencil and u use someone else pencil to do your hw and not let the other person do theirs.
@@solomon2458 that was my theory, I probably worded it improperly. Basically; sharingan -> MS/ability to use susano’o -> EMS, where once you get the MS you don’t need to have activated MS or EMS to use susano’o and can still have regular sharingan active

Do you truly think that Itachi's Susanoo has a chance against a slice of one of Madara's Susanoo's Swords. From what we've seen in both manga and anime such a slice is easily capable of cutting or rather bombing away the tips of mountains. I think Itachi would be overwhelmed by the sheer power behind Madara's Susanoo. The other thing is with Sasuke's Susanoo I also think that you can't disregard the time he used it to hold the (ten tails') chakra. I think that Indra's Arrow would be capable of at least damaging Madara's Susanoo if not completely destroying it. Because Indra's Arrow was able to hold it's ground against what Naruto threw at Sasuke during their final battle. And the last thing on my mind is that while Kakashi's Susanoo has a insanely high attack potency to to Kamui, it might actually be weaker on the defensive side when compared to e.g. Madara's or Sasuke's complete Susanoos figuring that he doesn't have the same amount of practice building up and using Susanoo especially if it comes to complete Susanoo. But all things considered keep up the good work ;p
I agree on Madara's Susanoo just slapping Itachi's Susanoo. It's just too much destructive power. There's nothing that Itachi can defeat but Madara can't. But I wouldn't include Sasuke's Susanoo with all the bijuu's chakra on the list, since it only happened once and for a short time. About Kakashi, that's for sure true but I like to think that he can phase through things with his Susanoo, since Kamui is clearly the focal point of it, making his defense basically illimited. But that's just my personal head canon honestly.

Also something to note is that it was kakashis first time using the susanoo , we know that with experience susanoo becomes better, i wonder what could he have achieved had he been given the MS longer

Like because they inherited Indra's powerful and special chakra they have the potential to manifest it as well.

I have a theory about the susanoo colour and it’s about the relations of a character when they first manifest it like Sasukes susanoo it’s purple. purple is a combination of red and blue Itachi Sasukes brother who he’s very close to and blue with is kakashi/obitos who both had an impact on Sasuke and madara who’s susanoo is dark blue and Sasuke is technically a reincarnation of madara and Indras non canon susanoo is purple. As well as this obito/kakashis susanoo is light blue where as madaras is dark blue obito had less hatred then madara and Sasuke is Naruto’s rival who’s associated with orange witch is the opposite of purple Sasukes susanoo colour because there rivals ( same could be said for Indra and ashura) and shisuis debatably canon susanoo is green the opposite of red which susanoo is red Itachis.(sorry for any spelling mistakes)

Susanoo got Yamata no orochi drunk to be able to slice it’s heads off. That’s why itachis totsuka seals you in the world of drunken dreams
I agree with argument one, that once you awaken to your mangekyou sharingan in both eyes you can use Susanoo no matter what. It agrees with the lore that Susano'o was not connected to either of Izanagi's eyes, but was only born AFTER his two siblings that WERE connected to Izanagi's eyes, so a Susanoo should require both eyes to activate but not sustain. That's why Madara could use it with no eyes, and Itachi could still use his after he went blind during the fight with Sasuke.
As for Kakashi/Obito, I'm ok with the explanation that neither of them activated Susanoo because neither of them had both eyes, and therefore never met the requirement to first activate it. And when Kakashi actually activated Susanoo, he technically had NO Sharingan; his Sharingan had been pulled out by Madara and then Naruto's Six Path Sage power made him a new one. He was only able to use Sharingan because Obito's spirit inhabited him and returned the Sharingan power to him, so I think it's fair to say that it was OBITO'S SPIRIT that reclaimed both eyes and therefore activated the Susanoo. Thus, when Obito's spirit left, he took his Sharingan powers with him, including Susanoo because those eyes and powers were never Kakashi's in the first place.
That said, I ALSO agree that the war arc is absolute nonsense, and seriously think Kishimoto never thought of the MS and Susanoo beyond Itachi's arc. I mean come on, Itachi's MS powers are all named after the 3 great gods (Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, and Susano'o), and his Susanoo possesses all 3 of the Great Imperial Treasures as powers (The Totsuka Blade, Yata Mirror, and Yasaka Magatam)? And his Totsuka blade is a sake gourd, which just HAPPENS to connect with the story of Yamata-no-Orochi, which is the ONLY time we see him use it? C'mon, it's very blatant.
