AMBIVALENT // Eurorack Ambient Jam w. Make Noise Morphagene

Been a seriously long time since I patched and recorded a one-take thing on the modular synth. I've been working with the Push and Ableton live primarily, using my modular as a sound source. I never had much success with doing complete patches on the modular synth. But here we are, coming a bit full circle again. I wouldn't call this a complete track but well, its done all on the modular :-)
The Plaits chord mode can get hella resonant, so that could've benefitted from some EQ. I ran everything through Ableton with some compression on the master chain. One take recording. I'm not huge on making ambient myself (I prefer listening to what others do with it) but I enjoyed this one, especially the field recording textures that layer in with the Make Noise Morphagene. Mutable Instruments Marbles keeps being epic after all this time. What a classic module.

For the first time => BRAVO 👌 I have a very deeeeeep sound on my headphones. What compressor/effects do you use in ableton?

The stock compressor and eq. Reverbs are Mimeophon and Valhalla Supermassive in the DAW. I put a mastering chain from the audio effects rack on the master. In hindsight it was pushed a bit too hard. 🌶

Great stuff...everything sounds very organic, like it all belongs together. What model/size is your case? Also...are you creating multiple CV Instrument tracks in Ableton and then mapping things to trigger with Push 2?

Yo Jeff this was all on the modular except for some audio effects on the channels coming into ableton during recording. No cv to midi tricks going on in this one. This is a 104hp case by mdr.modular Highly recommended guys
