I am happy, but I still keep saying we should age more savings than we do but we don’t spend heaps anymore thoughtlessly, it’s prob just me and I keep forgetting a lot of money is in challenges etc as well. Haha I have to stop being so impatient lol

Love the future binder for the children. Immediately looked into starting one for my son. I do like a year in advance but havent thought as far ahead as uni, cars or homes! Thank you for the inspiration 🩷
Always makes me feel good stuffing the kids future binder, for me having a binder and the envelopes broken down is a way for me to remind myself of the things that will come up in future that I either need to May or would like to focus on.
I will also be doing a seperate video stuffing my kids future binder and Christmas binder all in the one :)

I'm doing a special 200 envelope challenge (haven't shown it yet) that I add a little bit to each week until I have enough to cover a number. It's a slow burn 😁
I've got a 100 envelope binder that I'm doing differently & a 25 envelope amongst my other challenges 😊
Wow that is a heap of challenges, it is so nice seeing the progression week on week, a lot more fun that just sitting in the account that’s for sure!

Nice, it’s a great challenge the 200 envelope and perfect for larger goals for sure. I may even do it one day for like an overseas holiday or something like that. It’s about 20k isn’t it altogether?

I started it in October been doing it kinda on the side as we had the 7k tv and Dyson 1.5k and 2K dining table to save for as well, so done pretty well I think. Can’t wait to see where we end up at the end of the year.

I have a fair few challenges to finish soon and only need $600 for rego now as have $400 in envelope. I’ll just use one or two for that. To catch me up. I find if I focus on the main goals (of like getting to the 5k milestone) psychologically I get to them quicker and just find another way for any issues that arise.

I live in Adelaide and my son’s braces are costing me $18000 he needs to have 5 teeth removed before hand that has to be paid for by us. I almost cried. But because I have a saving folder just for my son’s teeth we have about half.
Wow this so scary lol, that’s a heap and have two needing :/ may I ask your category names for that binder? Also what were the options when paying without using finance?
I just called it Luci smile (luci is a nickname). They offer interest free repayment over 2 years. Just to see the orthodontist for the first 4 visits to talk about the braces cost us @$600 out of pocket we have the highest cover with bupa and I think they are only covering about 2k from the over all price. If you have a health care card you can get them cheaper, as we are high income earners we don’t get any help.
@sallybraid1063 thanks for that, yes we have highest cover as well and they cover $3k each off total. No help for us either lol. Is there another way to do it other than interest free payments? Or is it any cheaper to pay up front cash?
