Your sleep stories are hypnotizing. With just the right pauses, with soft music and it creates a calm ambience to doze off. Plus, WHY ISN'T THERE A SINGLE COMMENT ABOUT THE VOICE OF THE NARRATOR. I suffer from anxiety attacks and when I felt one coming on I put this on. I wasn't going to sleep, but it helped me calm faster than usual. Thank you Sam. You don't know the impact your channel has had on my overall well-being. Is mental health treated seriously in Scotland? I heard that you can take mental health days in Germany. You can't take time off work because you feel stressed in the US. Many employers won't approve sick days unless you have a note from a doctor saying how many days it should take you to recover. Then you have to come back after that window.
It is, to a degree. Sick days are not questioned as such, but will become so if more than a few are taken within a certain time. Sending love and wishes.S x
@@SnoozewithSam I have wanted to leave the country for some time now. there are so many variables: money, I have minor children with an ex-husband that won't approve a visitation schedule change, we'd have to secure jobs and housing, etc... But one issue that I have to consider also is the mental health medication I take. I'd have to find out specifics about health plans and mental health coverage and how mental health is treated wherever we decided to go. I have been on medications for 20 years! Only weening off for pregnancies, and some of those were not fun detoxing from. But they make such a big difference in my life. I couldn't imagine trying to make a huge move like that and all of the stresses that naturally come with that situation AND full-blown, untreated GAD. That alone scares me. But the US is on fire, sometimes literally lol.
@@SnoozewithSam surprises me a bit to be honest, I think I'd imagined you had a good handle on that sort of thing, given you teach other. I am in line to represent the United States in the Worry Competition. 🤣.
Such a relaxing blend of peace and harmony. I slept through the night and woke rested and inspired. Even my cat was sleeping on the pillow speaker this morning .
I started listening for an afternoon rest and found the emphasis on just relaxing. It's nice to hear someone in the biz say "you don't have to fall asleep." But I did anyway 😂

This will be so helpful on those nights when the mind is resisting sleep and headed toward stress nightmares. You've given us the antidote. The visuals and fade to black was great, I'm only to the visualizations part now (using it as an afternoon meditation) but stopped to comment that the acknowledgement of what stress is telling us, is a great way to call it out and take it's power away. And that simply resting is enough. All the comforting words and visualizations you followed it with are **chef's kiss**. 💙
