Than you. The original steering wheel was gone when I bought the truck, and it had a very ugly aftermarket wheel on it that I replaced with the one it has now. It's not too small at all, drives very nicely with it, and I like the look of it far better over stock.
From what I've read they have the same bolt pattern as the triton and 6.2 engines so zf5 would bolt up but what clutch and flywheel is the the question
I agree, and I believe Fat Fender Garage will eventually. Now that Ford finally released their official control pack, I know FFG has started on their customer Godzilla builds. So I'm sure they will make production mounts out of what they come up with for these first builds they're doing.
I'm running the factory PCM unlocked and custom tuned for standalone, by Mars Auto. My radiator is a Wizard Cooling unit with dual spal brushless fans on a pwm signal temp sensor.
Was the wiring hard to get the gauges to work with the PCM? I have a 79 bronco I plan on doing a swap with a 7.3 out of a totaled 2020 f250. My biggest concerns were the gauges and fuel system
The gauges were pretty simple really, once I read the instructions, haha. There is a menu in the gauges you have to navigate through to select all the options for each readout, like water temp, oil pressure, tachometer, etc. With the Ford PCM, I used Dakota Digital's BIM module, which plugs into the OBD II port to communicate with the PCM and the gauges to pull the info in. You just have to tell the gauges to look for that, like I mentioned. So there's not much "wiring" to do really, just plugging the BIM module in and navigating through the gauges menu to select the correct settings. The Dakota Digital instructions walk you through it.
Mast Motorsports is making Godzilla motor mounts? Very cool! I'll be interested to see them. What are your plans for transmission crossmember? I reused my original, just modified it to accept the 6R140 and then relocated it back further. What transmission are you using?
Looks and sounds amazing! I would love to do the same to my 79 short box
Super clean job!
Thank you! It's not done yet. Still some cleaning up to do with wiring and whatnot, but it's getting close!
Hey, I'm a 78, but I'm ugly. This is the best looking truck on RUclips in my view.
Thank you!
Going from a 454 to this engine in to my 1953 ford bread van !
Nice!
Beautiful Brother. So Much Want!
Nice truck and swap
Very nice!!
I got the same plan for a ford Excursion😉
Now that would be insane. 430 hp in a monster?? Just the way it needs to be.
I thought 79 had the square headlights
They did. I swapped them to round because I like them better.
Looks like a early 78 but she's mint
Thanks! It's a '79 I swapped the square headlights out for round.
Outstanding job! But why not use the original steering wheel? Seems strange to have a small wheel on such a beast of a truck

Beautiful. So those Dakota gauges, are they entire gauges or are they the small digital inserts at the bottom?
Mine are the complete setup from Dakota, entire gauge setup with BIM module for pulling data from the PCM through the OBD II port
Looks Great. Keep us updated. I have a 79 F350 I’m waiting to make this swap. Is there a standard transmission the Godzilla will bolt up to?
Yeah it will bolt up to a couple manuals, and all the 6R and 10R transmissions
From what I've read they have the same bolt pattern as the triton and 6.2 engines so zf5 would bolt up but what clutch and flywheel is the the question
Yeah someone needs to offer motor mounts for 73 thru 79

What control pack and radiator?
I'm running the factory PCM unlocked and custom tuned for standalone, by Mars Auto. My radiator is a Wizard Cooling unit with dual spal brushless fans on a pwm signal temp sensor.
@@mustangboyy6 awesome I have a mars control pack on the way. I will look into the radiator. Thanks! Killer truck
Barely pulled out the garage 😂
haha yeah not ready for first drive yet.
Laughter will never make you laugh
How did you get the original gauges to work? That truck is awesome.
They're not original, they are Dakota Digital
What computer are you using for the engine?
What transmission are you using?
I'm using the factory PCM unlocked, and the Torqshift 6 Superduty 6R140 transmission.

How much?
