If person rings the bell it temporarily turns off the alarm for 20 minutes. Best thing of all it is not against my rental agreement because it is not a true house alarm system
I found the tips in your video very useful. I use a wheelchair and it’s good to know who’s at the door before I open it. I have an Echo show 8 linked to it but it doesn’t automatically show the camera when the Ring detects movement. Is there any way this may be achieved? Thanks.
Thank you for answering my question without even knowing it. I was trying to see is it worth it to purchase a chime but you made me realize, if I'm going to do that I might as well get something that I can play music from from time to time when I'm in the shower or something🤷🏾♂️

I have a Ring Video Doorbell, but what sucks is I can't use it with my google home hub. Nest only works with Google home hub. I really hope they add the ability to have Ring Video Doorbell to work with Home Hub!

So, I can see with the Arlo camera that this will be possible.

However it seems when somebody comes up and doesn’t ring a bell it seems like it takes a little too long for it to come on and by the time it comes on they’re leaving is there anyway that I could make it turn on faster on the motion sensor?
On the Ring app half of the time, my dog sounds does not bark when it detects motion. Plus the ring employees have no idea what is going on when you ask them for technical help

Bought the Ring Chime Pro so that I could have distinguishing ring tones between door locations and no such luck. Ring has their heads up their asses! Why on earth wouldn't they incorporate this feature? Bought Echo Dots to fill the need. Thanks for the vid.

I have a ring doorbell and a Smart Things system. I can control my porch light switch by using Smart Things. I have, as suggested in your video, set up an IFTTT to turn on the porch light by ringing the doorbell. I am unable to find a way to set it up to turn off the switch after a few minutes, and also not to go on in daylight hours. How did you do that?
I have no echo, etc., but my "ring" is set to record motion at my door area. Is there any app that can cause the motion to send a sound to my iphone? I never know if someone has tried to pick up a package until AFTER it has happened. They don't ring my doorbell, but their motion does cause my ring to record them. If I could get a notification sound on my iphone, I could react.

How many do you have? I assume you have a wired one. I find mine works better with a wifi extender / booster.

#1 is it possible to select which alexa devices the ring notification goes to? I don't want them all to ring as some are in kids bedrooms.
Sadly no. I’m in the same boat of not wanting it to ring in the kids room so I don’t keep that feature on.

I have Dog Barking gadget connected to my Ring Doorbell. The dogs bark every time the doorbell is set in motion.
That's now a old trick...most porch pirate's can now jam and black out those doorbell devices remotely 30 feet away.

Yes you can, just open your ring app, open up your device, device settings, Alert settings, and App alet tones
