I do the same as you do. Use whatever yarn 🧶i feel like that fits the criteria of the pattern . Im always open to learning. Never too old😊. Have a wonderful day 🤗😘🙏
You can minimize the fuzz/ lint on acrylic yarn by lightly burning it with a lighter. Swiftly back and forth over the fuzz/ lint. It evens leaves the toy with a slight sheen.
Hi Bianca. I agree with you in that there is much we can learn. And having an open mind is the first step for progress. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week!
Something I learned a few years ago that has helped in more than just amigurumi is DO NOT stack your increases. Example: Round 3: 1 sc, inc around. Round 4: 2 sc, inc around. Round 5: 3 sc, inc around. This stacks your increases and makes more of a geometric shape instead of a nice circle. There's ways to move your increases around. What I do is I split the even amount of sc's in half for the first repeat. Example: Round 6: 2 sc, inc, *4 sc, inc* 5 times, 2 sc. Round 7: 5 sc, inc around. This is kinda hard to explain in just text but you can find video and photo tutorials online. It has made my amigurumi look much cleaner.
I know what you mean! It's easier when we see the amigurumi than trying to put that into words indeed 😅 This is very helpful indeed, and can make the amigurumi look much cleaner as you said. Thank you for sharing my dear! 😘
What I will do with outside pull, is I will get the label and roll it up and stuff it in the inside part of the yarn, so I always have my label when i need it ❤️😄😄👍👍😊😊
One important thing I think new crocheters should be told when starting a new project or amigurumi with a magic ring is to not cut the beginning thread and sew it in. I think it is so much easier to know where you started and which side of your work you are on.
Thank you so much, my dear! Sharing experiences is one of the best things we can do, and it is AMAZING that even when you are experienced, you are open to learning. I feel like I learn so much from my community too, it is a blessing!
Great video, Bianca, as always! I am DEFINITELY still learning and remain open to doing so! I even gave a tendency to downplay my crochet skills. I love learning our craft! Hugs! ☺️🫶🏻🧶 xx ~ Lisa in Ohio
