Don’t mean to be contradictory, but this is my favorite movie of all time. I have seen it COUNTLESS times. If you weren’t blown away by it, it deserves a few more viewings.
What!? Nicolas Cage is great in this role. Can’t think of a better actor for the part. Cher won the Academy Award for her role. Great acting by everyone. Thanks.
When I was 10 our class took a trip to the Met. I loved the fantastic pieces of art. Unfortunately we weren’t able to go into the theatre. Cher and Nicolas Cage were filming the opera scenes. We didn’t know anything about the movie at that time . One day I want to go to the opera or watch an orchestra there.
Cher is multi-talented woman, and has actually done a lot of acting. She has always been beautiful, but looked very different in her "Sonny and Cher" days, when she felt she wasn't beautiful, and had work done: ruclips.net/video/mSMNPAMgyzw/видео.html. This is a glorious cast, including Feodor Chaliapin Jr. as Rose's father-in-law: he was the son of famous operatic bass Feodor Chaliapin: ruclips.net/video/b3nOBw2UlkI/видео.html. As a Brooklynite, I love this movie because it highlights Brooklyn in a way that shows its own character and some of the people who live here. This is a little more than a cute little movie: there are some sizable questions being looked at here: infidelity and how it affects the family; indifference turning into caring; love and how it affects people differently at different times in their lives. Family. I'm sorry it's a one and done movie for you because for me, it's a movie I can watch often and and be able to walk with different characters each time: everyone here is fleshed out and has their own story to live through.
An okay film, extremely inoffensive. But that's the problem. When you have Cher in your movie, you should have Cher SING in your movie. Fun Fact: Nicolas Cage's screen test didn't impress the studio, and they wanted to get someone else to play Ronny. But Cher insisted that Cage was the one to play that role, and threatened to quit unless he was hired. After a few days, the studio relented.
@@Hiddenjemzreact I can’t stand her singing but she is an awesome actress. I love moonstruck and she was in a true story movie about a nuclear accident (name??). Big hit! Her singing fans can buy her music and her movie fans can buy her movies. 🤣🤣🤣

That is so cool but bad that you guys weren't able to go to the theater part. The Met would be an amazing experience :)
