    The DSR's ARC drive actually functions closer to the Gamma Core than the IV Core. It's an air spring (not air sear like the IV) system that fills to fire (Gamma and IV vent to fire, albeit very differently). In the paintball world, the ARC is a unique drive even though it contains some DNA of other drives. If you're unaware, the designer of the DSR and its ARC drive (John @ Dye) was partially responsible for the initial Gamma Core and, yet, he still chose not to copy it.
    All 3 have breech-sensing (not pressure sensing, but sort of) valves, as you mentioned. You didn't mention the breech-sensing passage down the middle of each valve, which is the special sauce to advancing closure. Interesting breech-sensing factoids - the IV Core presented the breech-sensing concept in a production marker to the industry, but it wasn't the first product to utilize it. That would be Lurker Paintball's gen 4 Intimidator "Control Freak" poppet. Ryan @ Lurker and John @ Dye have been good friends for yours, and the Lazarus valve utilizes breech-sensing (and the DLS was a collaboration between Ryan and John).

      I almost forgot about the $2000 iffy bet the the DLS is. Yup, all faith in Dye erased for me now.

      @@somebrains5431 you realize the DLS was a standalone passion project right? The Paragon core lived and died with the DLS. I suspect you'll change your mind in a few months.

      @@axledog7297 It was also NOT invented by DYE. People wanted a gun with the Paragon core so they provided it. IT works fine. It was just never a great design for shot quality which is why nobody else took it on. Dye probably shouldn't have either but.....they took a chance. No big deal. Don't buy one if you don't like it. If they ever manage to update it and fix the issue however.....everyone will be crying in their beer because shot quality aside it's pretty nice.

    Excellent review. I really like how you added the M2 as a comparison vs the M3+. The fuse bolt shot in my opinion is still the satisfying one of all.

    I guess I forgot to sub in the past, believe you deserve a lot more subs. I'm also in the beginning of my channel and your quality is impeccable. Brother got me the IM Pro kit from your video and believe I got my dsr+ based on your review.

    Great video. You’re mostly thorough, but would like to see a complete breakdown and visual of all the parts.

    Great indepth review. I feel the pro kit takes away from the squishy shot, giving you 2 more pods. It's has a smooth shot. I took a break from paintball and hope to return in two years. Can't wait to see what comes with I return.

    Good review. I think everything was well done. Number were displayed well and a lot of good stuff. Maybe if you talk about sound signature a shooting comparison would be great to show that as well.
    I do wish dye would spend a little longer on their testing before releases so we don't need an IM pro kit or have incidents like the DLS. I like their guns but I am hesitant to buy them new. If they are worried about this stealing sales from the M3+, bring the M3 up, not bring the dsr+ down.
    I will say I don't think you give triggers enough credit. No, they do not need a lot of force to pull, and with lack of semi play now a fast ROF is not needed. Despite that, a ton of players still walk the trigger even during ramping and the feel of the trigger can make or break the ergonomic feel of the gun entirely. A great trigger is just a chef's kiss on a marker and it shows care in their product.

    I only shoot my geo because I grew up shooting PE. But that DSR+ is nice! Been thinking of making the switch to DSR+ then again.... LV2.

    Had the geo 4 and still have the dsr+ the geo4 is a great gun...and with the slr set at the 2 oclock pos is damn smooth...but the dsr+ shot better than that out of the box. Both shot smoother than my m3+. But not by much...all 3 shoot money...

    The M3 trigger is much better than the DSR. The dual magnet setup in the M3 just has a smoother pull/return swing of the trigger.

      Have you used a DSR+ with the trigger magnet mod?

    • @Zinojn
      @Zinojn 11 месяцев назад

      @@rybobuno yea but it sucks, it's only a one way magnet and it feels too sticky. The m3 magnet configuration is much better

    • @3rdlineplug
      @3rdlineplug 7 месяцев назад

      Completely agree. I have both and the M3+ trigger is much nicer. Dye sends it with the magnet at its strongest pull it feels like but with a little adjustment, it’s very snappy and super easy to ramp. Just for fun to, I used semi and the ROF you can get is ridiculous. I would hope with a future DSR release they use the magnets similar to the M3 line.
