They filmed it at rocket town, I'm from Tn one of my buddies is in the cd booklet in the very front of the crowd holding a coffee and giving the metal horns 😅
You definitely need to check out more, so many different songs with different sounds, all with a bit of epic... disagree, but only because his unclean vocals lack* range. That said, he is by far one of the most versatile and capable all-around musician working today. No denying that. Him and the rest of BTBAM, all top-tier. And he is 1-to-1 with the CD live, and that is a skill in and of itself.
Last year they played a double show tour and these guys blew my mind when they played in Berlin. They ARE that good and the singer is able to do this for two hours. It was just insane .
I saw this band 9 times between 2003-2007...but never on purpose. I was aware of them and enjoyed a few of their songs. They just always seemed to be playing shows that i wanted to go to. With that said, some time later, i got very, very into them, probably in like 2009. So happy i was able to enjoy them, so often. One of my all time favorite bands.
Love BTBAM. I call it crazy Prog. They are very talented! They may not be able to jump around the stage much, but their concerts always have crazy crowds. Tons of moshing. And yes they can go the whole concert with that intensity.
Just saw BTBAM in Calgary 2 weeks ago on the Parallal 2, 10 year anniversary tour. There is no other band that touches them in flawless execution and complexity of their music. True virtuosos!
Man these guys are bonkers, They’re my favorite band and I’ve seen them nine times. I’ve seen them played two and a half hours two times with almost not even noticeable mess ups. Easily the most talented band out there for the last two decades
Had tickets for them at Ace Of Spades in Sacramento and it was canceled right before lockdown... I was always aware of them but am a Johnny-come-lately legit fan now. Huge bummer. Can't wait to see them finally
Right I got tickets to both ny shows and the vip I really can’t wait lol plus they just finished recording there new album. Not sure when it releases tho. They probably got some fine tuning to do.
You should check these out, I really think you'll enjoy them, and they will be a good reaction. Infant Annihilator - Unholy Gravebirth or Blasphemian Spite - Kill or Be Killed Hunt the Dinosaur - Destructo & only cover Methwitch - Burn Victim Black Tongue - Parting Soliloquy Orbit Culture - North Star of Nija Amon Amarth - As Loke Falls Tallah - Overconfidence
As far as other songs by them, man... There are definitely a lot of good ones. Some good songs with visuals to accompany them is Viridian/White Walls live (lengthy), Obfuscation is great and it has a music video to go along with it, Selkies or Ad a Dglgmut live (if the video is still up), and lastly, Voice of Trespass is you want a kore recent song by them to represent their current style.
One of my favorite things is that if your listening to colors live (album), or colors or if your hearing them live its all spot on (I used colors as an example just because there is the album but then the live album )
They preform their albums in entity. Hour plus shows with no intermissions. I might be bias because btbam is my favorite bang of all time but still. They are true master's of their craft, and I have nothing but love for them.
You would think Tommys voice would get rough, but it doesn't! I saw them play their album Colors front to back with one tiny break after the 2nd track, then it was balls to the wall
Mate, check out the entire remaster of The Silent Circus. It was already a fantastic album, but the remaster perfected it. Mordecai will always be one of their best tunes.
Started listening in 2002 the self titled and silent circus were what hooked me. A lot of new fans don’t seem to like it tho. Like it or not those 2 albums and colors put them on the map. And yes Mordecia is magical lol. I hope at some point they can go back to there roots and give us and album like there earlier stuff. Regardless I live everything they’ve ever done lol ✌🏻🤘🏻
Thanks man! Ever considered reacting to a full show? Their colors album is amazing. Its only an hour long hahaha. I imagine your cautious about lengthy videos because peoples attention span is mad short these days.
Thanks for the request. I spend 5 times as much time looking at and learning the analytics of youtube than I spend making videos. It should be the other way around, but I just love numbers. Peoples attention spans are non existent. The average watchtime on this video is under 6 minutes per viewer. Not that I wouldn't enjoy watching this for an hour, but when youtube sees people are hardly watching an hour long video they will literally quit suggesting it to anyone. The goal is to get people to watch so I would have to break something like that up. I will definitely get more of them on the channel
Why this band is Death Metal? they really have all the sounds, check out a song from the first album hahaha, this band doesn't have bad songs they're incredible lml
@@deadwinterknight1981 that it's true idk what i wanted to say lol i was high for sure, btw listen to the first album, sometimes sound like A7X and sometimes like Dying Fetus hahaha
Nah. Actually my gshock I wore for like 5 years just broke recently, and my wife bought be a new g shock, but I can't have it till Christmas. This is literally like a $20 armitron I grabbed to fill the gap until then
@@Hoopsick Still looks sweet. I bought the limited edition Iron Man G shock but my bff wont let me have it (even tho I bought it) till xmas either. Had to ask bc from where I'm standing I swear I thought u grabbed one too!

One of the most talented bands today.
*ever
Kthx
One of? Today? Is English a second language for you? Lol.
If they played classical instruments they'd be modern Bachs and Mozarts
"After 4 songs this man has to be shot..."
BTBAM: *Laughs in two hour sets*
*Laughs in Swim to the Moon*
11:40 - "They just got all of the sounds" is one of the sentences that perfectly describes BTBAM :D
HIGHLY recommend checking out this album in its entirety. Prog masterpiece.
"They have so many sounds". Followed up with the "They have ALL the sounds". Terrific.
They play the full album from start to finish in the studio session. About an hour of music.
True story, I saw them play a 45 minutes set at the Download festival in England back in the day and they played a whole 3 songs.
Their Colors Live is dope
They filmed it at rocket town, I'm from Tn one of my buddies is in the cd booklet in the very front of the crowd holding a coffee and giving the metal horns 😅
Just saw colors last week in Denver. Amazing!
I saw them live when this album came out. They did a 2 hour set with no pauses. It was incredible. Their endurance and skill is legendary
Blake Richardson on drums is GOAT
Blake is a fucking MONSTER on drums.
You definitely need to check out more, so many different songs with different sounds, all with a bit of epic...
White Walls
Ants of the Sky
Selkies: The Endless Obsession
Swim to the Moon
Telos
Disease, Injury, Madness
Lunar Wilderness
King Redeem/Queen Serene
Sun of Nothing
Mordecai
Ad a Dglgmut
List can go on and on...
Whenever I listen to Ants, I HAVE to listen to prequel it feels like a full package 😂
White Walls and Ants of the Sky are such amazing rides to go on!
Fossil genera also. That slow, pretty part is up there with the ones in sun of nothing and selkies.
The syncopated part with „walking into a certain state of“ is always amazing.
One of my favourite bands.
Tommy Rodgers is legit one of, if not THE, most versatile vocalist of all time.

Saw them in Hamburg, amazing concert and the guys are very approachable. Dan Briggs stayed after concert and talked to us about records and stuff.

Subbed for this one man. Gotta listen to more of them
That was definitely the best "what is happening" BTBAM reaction I've seen yet
SWIM TO THE MOON. 17:54 MINUTES OF AWESOMENESS.
Currently watchin this on my tv and Wow.. Of all the years I've known them i never knew they have an classic orchestral side.
Check out their song Voice of Trespass, its a big band jazz/death metal song lol.
@@lankeysob YESSSSSSS
The singer engages his false chords for his screams and saves his vocal chords after all these years of jamming.
yep, the mic does most of the work for this kind of screaming
Just saw BTBAM in Calgary 2 weeks ago on the Parallal 2, 10 year anniversary tour. There is no other band that touches them in flawless execution and complexity of their music. True virtuosos!
The first time I saw them they performed the entire colors album front to back no breaks. And it was flawless
Man these guys are bonkers, They’re my favorite band and I’ve seen them nine times. I’ve seen them played two and a half hours two times with almost not even noticeable mess ups. Easily the most talented band out there for the last two decades
one the most amazing bands to see live.
Hell yeah! Would love to see more BTBAM on the channel!

Buddy...this band doesn't look the part for most of the genres they incorporate
The talent is insane lol
Just going around reminiscing BTBAM and came across your reaction. First time listening to this song - what a masterpiece
Btbam is everything! Every sound
Ooh this is gonna be a good one, I can already tell.
They're an incredible band
Happy to see this reaction. Love BTBAM! These guys are amazing. I might be prejudiced tho my stepson is one of em.
Whoa...what?!
@@michaelasche6950 LOL, yeah. Long story, but Dan is my stepson and I've always been very proud of him. Always will be.

Infant Annihilator - Unholy Gravebirth or Blasphemian

such a great band. i love their earlier work. a bit more heavier and a little less proggy. check out Alaska, Selkies or Mordecai
Next reaction:
Between The Buried And Me - Alaska (Full Album)
"nice solo"..are you kidding me? :-D
As far as other songs by them, man... There are definitely a lot of good ones. I saw the great misdirect album drop show and they played the whole album then an hour encore bro, he can go for days with the vocals
Between The Buried Amd Me - Selkies
Colors album is absolute platinum....They just released colors 2 and i started to listen them again. Fucking good...
Astral Body is a great video from them
"What is happening right now?"
Me a 20+ year BTBAM super fan and Blakey worshipper "Ha... Welcome to the show bud"

You have to listen to "mordecai" and "prequel to the sequel"! Everything these guys do is amazing!
You would think Tommys voice would get rough, but it doesn't! I saw them play their album Colors front to back with one tiny break after the 2nd track, then it was balls to the wall
Bro no wonder that drummer is an absolute unit, playing this music would get you yoked
Other bands with similar styles are Native Construct and Others by NoOne
the way he screams is just false chords basically so it doesn’t hurt and he can do it for a long time.

I can barely play a CCR song all the way through these guys are intense.
Before I turn- only to fall you'll love it
Look pls at his song "ants of the sky".
blake richardson literally has to be that jacked to play this music. They do HOURS of this at their live shows

you HAVE to hear viridian/white walls from colors Live album. !!! do it!
He can definately sing more than 4 songs live.
Yeah last time I saw them they played the entire album. Lol
All of BtBaMs music is great, can't wait for their new record to come out!
Check out voice of trespass... that song is wild
You should listen to Novelists FR lost cause!! Such a banger
Once you realize the albums are one long track, you'll really loose your mind.
Do soliloquy from Protest the Hero!!!
They're aliens
React to some Colors Album songs.
PLZ react to Self Destruct by Kublai Khan!!!

React to I disagree or you shouldn't be anything like me from Poppy
I can’t imagine how much Will Goodyear regrets leaving the band over some dumb religious bullshit.
NO! BTBAM is so complicated we can't understand it! the level of math and music is beyond our understanding. it sucks
They are super talented but, I could never get into them for some reason.
Its hard, man... but then something clicked inside you.
I'm pretty sure I know the lyrics better than the lead singer lol he keeps making mistakes
Got a hint of, System of a down in there 👍
5:30-5:50
Love how you don't like this shit
Great band, terrible first song
Ya this is more like a “3 years into listening to them” song
