Wow. Im a c4 quad..2004. Love nascar ..grew up around cars my dad had shops.. im ok stuff cant be as it was thou I miss all I had yet to do.. that one day maybe . Going after what we adjust to do is different yet life always was. I use a tripin to drive so I can imagine that awesome moment. . Each time I drive I feel it. Shane keep feeling it .. never has to what it was ..make it what it can be each day. My name is lisa tremaine .. I am in Vegas.. I will think of this video .. often . Ty
I agree that Nascar has to be strict with their drug policies but to say that he deserved to crash and be in this condition is just heartless and says a lot about you...
I thought the same thing when he was caught with cocaine and heroin, but after he turned his life around and drove USAC midgets, and had plans of driving an Indycar, his dreams were shoirt cut. To have beat ALL doctors predictions to about how he was going to have to live his life, I've gained a whole different type of respect for Shane. I'll never have the respect for him as a NASCAR driver and NASCAR drug addict. But beating his addictions and having dreams, and when those dreams are cut short to never give up and work hard, there's a different type of respect for someone like Shane
NASCARmc I understand your thoughts and respect your POV. I just see it all differently from you. Who knows if he wouldn't have ever turned back to his drug usage had he not been so badly injured? Hopefully he never will. He said some really nasty things to me, on twitter, due to my support for Juan Pablo Montoya, only leading me to believe his personality hasn't changed much. His comments to me regarding Maria de Villota were uncalled for too. Everyone does deserve a second and even third chance sometimes, I just hope his third is a homerun and not a strike.
He made too many mistakes. His entire NASCAR career he deliberately rammed drivers off the track and fought in the pits with them. He was a nuisance. NASCAR is not banger racing at the county fair.
that's the coolest story ever when I looked at his crash on youtube I thought he would never race again man I wish I had his confidence

Good for him for not letting anything stop him.
Shane was the Modern day Tim Richmond! Both with fearless driving ability but both with a dark side.
He was so talented! He screwed his life up though.. Could have been great

HE'S AWESOME. I remember when he was going to CUP, never give up/quit.

I am happy he is regaining some of his life however I doubt I will ever have any respect for him.

WOW.you sir have no heart. He made a mistake we all do,but to say he deserves to get paralyzed is just cruel.I dont know how you can look at yourself.
