That’s the sweetest story. ❤ My mother died when I was 8. I’ve spent my life trying to be kind and loving like her. I don’t think I’m as good as her, but I believe your parents should be your heroes, not people you see on TV or on the sports field. ❤
My dad passed away at 33 and left my mom with four of us girls to raise. And she struggled financially but always put enough money together to take us to Myrtle beach to make memories together, we were on our way and stopped at a Wendy’s and my mother saw someone come in and ask for a sandwich and they told him to get out. She went up and bought him 2 or 3 value meals. I remember that to this day. That was money she didn’t have but her heart was so big.
That’s the highest compliment you can ever receive as a momma ! You are killing it, Emily. Your babies are lucky to have you ❤

Emily your kindness is amazing. When I was homeless and living in my car I walked in to Ulta on my bday and your face palette was there. I had no clue you collated with any brand. I used my bday coupon and points to get that. It brightened my day, I have it tucked away in a drawer now. I left my corporate job in Los Angeles and ended up working for a growing (unfortunately) non profit for homeless outreach, women/family sheltering, and drug recovery. It was two years ago and the best “career” move I’ve made in my 46 years. I don’t care about the money, the people that I’m surrounded with on a daily basis are caring and like minded. Homelessness is a layered and complicated issue right now and it is effecting Every. single. City in America. As we’ve grown we’re now the largest rescue mission in the country. It's a huge responsibility we moms carry as our daughters watch and learn how to be kind, strong women from us. Recently, my teen daughter expressed her admiration of how I conduct myself...just breaks me down and humbles me in the best way. It is one thing to try to be proud of yourself, but working to be someone your daughter can be proud of is on another level.

Elf had that spot treatment roller ball YEARS ago, back when the majority of their products were only $1. Enjoyable recs of good products, yet one of the major reasons I watch is for the beauty you possess inside. Being an example for our kids is made up of moments like the one you described, Emily. 💝💕💖 When my son sprained his ankle in football practice back in 3rd grade, I just sat on the couch with him and comforted him after applying his ankle brace. Hero Night arrived at elementary school, and he drew a pic of him and me on the couch with wording about how his mom was his hero because of how I love him and stayed with him when he was in pain. Misty Moments... but good ones!

Oh Emily! Your story brought me to tears!!! I will always remember my 12 year old daughter and I having a similar experience, though not quite so profound… we were in a very busy area downtown Chicago… I saw a young woman a few feet away from me with her skirt stuck into the back of her underwear. I told my daughters so stay right where they were and I ran over to her and whispered in her ear about her dress. She was sooo thankful to me. When I got back to my girls, my oldest looked at me like so proud and said “you are such a girls girl” and honestly, what a compliment! It was very eye opening to me that like you said, when they see their adults do something, they are paying attention! More than we realize! Thank you sooo much for the reminder ❤❤❤ you are doing so great at this mom thing and are really an inspiration! 😊

I think I get more out of a kindness performed than the recipient, honestly. It makes me so happy to think of a hard-working waitress going home with a smile because I left a $20 tip on a small check that she discovered after I left. That brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! I usually don't give cash money to panhandlers where I live in Phoenix, AZ, since there are so many scam artists here. I have given food and water bottles to people, though.
I TOTALLY believe in heeding that "still, small voice" that guides us to help others in various ways. Sometimes that means buying someone a sandwich and a drink, sometimes it means giving them cash. Usually I give food and water, since that can't be used to buy alcohol or drugs. Living in such a huge city has made me somewhat cynical.
Here in Phoenix, unfortunately, there are people who stand on the median areas near freeways or very busy streets with signs, begging for cash. They even walk up and down the rows of stopped cars, weaving in and around them, looking for people to give them cash before the light turns green. Sometimes that behavior feels predatory to me. I don't give money to these people (or people who approach women alone, or with children, in parking lots) because I don't want to encourage this type of dangerous behavior. Then again, I live in a huge city, where there are lots of criminals, not just people who are down on their luck.
God bless you for looking past this man's plight and blessing him with what he needed at that exact point in time. He didn't ASK you for money, but he might have been PRAYING for help, right at that moment. What an awesome story that is. Thank you again for sharing it. ❤❤❤

I've been around for more than a decade now, though I don't comment often, and I've come and gone to beauty RUclips, but I stick around here. There's something about your energy that always seems to bring some calm to my day. I can't say I watch for practical reasons; we have different skin, different hair, and very different aesthetics (I am reaching "elder goth" status). We don't share hobbies, a lifestyle, a belief system, but here I remain. Thank you for making content worth watching even if a coral lip and a taupe-and-brown matte eye are the farthest things from what I would wear. Your enthusiasm for the beautiful looks you create and your warmth are a light.

Aww I was in Walmart buying toys for my niece and a little girl saw my toys and started to cry because she wanted one, and I just handed the toy to her and she gave me a huge smile...And three days later a stranger buys me Starbucks out of nowhere in the drive thru 😊 Giving is always a lesson from the heart ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing that story... I didn't have a very good mother in a lot of ways - she was an addict & spent a great deal of time being a mean person to my sister & I. But one of the things I remember most was her tendency of generosity... We were the house you could go to if someone's parents kicked them out. We didn't have much money, but she would give what she could to people who needed it more. And those are the parts I internalized... She wasn't a great person overall, but I feel grateful to be able to immortalize those pieces of her better self. Your daughters are very lucky to have you. 💕

I love that you did this trend! Another good thing about the Vaseline stick is that you can put some on your wrist or behind your ears before spraying perfume. Helps make the scent last longer!

@ 14:03 - you are my kind of people…I’ve done the same thing a few times😢 You know, I’ve actually had people look down on me or belittle me (onlookers that is) for trying to help. Some people have even said oh they’re just gonna spend that money on drugs. Well, who cares what they spend the money on? Unless you walked a mile in these peoples shoes, then shut the eff up! It’s not your money!! I believe we are put on this earth to help one another especially those who are obviously down on their luck and need help. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to tell when somebody is in need. I would’ve given him everything in my wallet, which was hopefully over 50 bucks😂 I really loved hearing that Emily❤

This is what I do when I use the Vaseline All Over Body Balm Jelly Stick. Applied it on the same spots where you would usually apply your favorite perfume fragance and then apply your perfume. It will help the scent of your perfume last longer.

The sweet man at the Verizon store in the early 2000s who shared his ringtone song, "It's a Great Day To Be Alive" by Travis Tritt, with my mom when she was buying a new cell phone has had a huge impact on me because my mother loved that song and now I know that she is watching over me from heaven when that song is still played on our local radio station.
