    How can I stop my elvie pump from making a clicking sound on one side making people know I’m pumping

      There are a few things that could be causing it. When I experienced clicking sounds it was because the sheila and the pump were not fitted together perfectly or the reservoir was not perfectly fitted to the pump. It often took taking apart the entire pump completely, wiping it down and making sure it was dry, and reassembling to correct. Just being slightly off can cause the suction to pull the pump together weird and make that sound. Another reason it made a clicking sound was that the pump was not laying against my skin flat. If my bra had loosened the shield was not pressed against the breast correctly and moved around often causing too much noise. One last issue could be that the shield has warped for some reason if it was dishwashed or sanitized in a machine. I have heard that can cause that issue too. If none of this fixes it and the motor is making that noise I would contact Elvie customer service because it could be a motor issue inside of the pump. Good Luck!

    Do you ever experience the Elvie losing suction during a pumping session? It happens to me all the time and I have to take it off and put it back on to feel the suction again.

      I do if I'm more active when they are on and I get a little sweating. It tends to make it harder for it to stay suctioned. And sometimes my bras I have them in really need a good hot dryer run so they hold them in place better. If I let the battery get below 30% I tend to feel the loss of suction towards the end but I try to make sure they are almost always charge because of that. I hope you had better luck!

    If your Elive does not charge any more, the Li-ion battery voltage drops to ~0.5 volts and will not be registered by the charger to charge. If you are out of warranty, you can try to parallel charge/connect with another 3.7 volt battery for 30 seconds to bring up the voltage to a recognizable voltage. The disassembly is very tricky by not breaking the bendable plastic button bit. You will also need a T7, a small, and large flat head screwdriver. I got mine to work again and I will donate them, with all the other bits, to a low income family with a newborn who could use them.

      Thank you for that awesome tip! I was able to donate a few of my pumps and rehomed my Elvie when I was done with it too. It's amazing the connection pumping mamas make. If you follow @pump_mamma_pump on IG they do pump swaps and donation threads sometimes and it's amazing.

      I got my Elvie pump less than a year ago and one of them randomly stopped working :( I hope I can get a replacement. I'm still paying back on mine. What's strange is that the pump is making suction noises at a very low speed when I have it connected but it won't turn on/show a light or charge.

      @@LeadmareLibertad If you're still paying back on it and it's been less than a year I am sure you can contact their customer care. That seems like maybe it's a internal issue they could troubleshoot or if they couldn't then maybe it could be replaced. Good luck!

      Thanks for sharing this. Our pumps are out of charge and won't respond when we plug them in. I'll give your suggestion a try!

      @@LeadmareLibertad I have received 2 replacement pumps that have both done the exact same thing in less than a month! Did you find a solution or did the replacement end up doing the same thing? What are the odds multiple units would be doing the same exact thing!

    I just received the Elvie pump and have had a horrible experience thus far. Would you please share the exact bra you're using? I know that it's not going to feel like much Medela but it barely feels like there's any suction. I'm so disappointed to have wasted money on this pump.

      I use - Seamless Rib Knit Maternity And Nursing Bra from Motherhood Maternity. You can order them online and they usually have good sales. I have multiple so I can always have a fresh washed on as the snug fit really helps with keeping the pump in the right place. I have tried sports bras and lots of other of my bras with the extenders but these ones have been the winner for me. I don't use the extender with them, I just have the straps adjusted to fit. I get a much better pump with the well fitting bra. I will also say I have to use the Elvie on a much higher setting than my Spectra but the type of suction is much different than the Madela too. I always message really well before putting on the pumps and that helps. If you don't find that all that helps they have a good customer service team to try and help trouble shoot your pump.

    Question: what do I do if the hub doesn’t turn on at all when I plug it in?

    • @rgoodrumyadayada
      @rgoodrumyadayada  3 года назад +1

      I would reach out to Elvie customer support. The battery in the hub may not be responsive and I'm not sure what options you have to fix it on your own. If the hub is completely dead and not responsive on your charger, or another charger (I always try a second one) then it could be a battery problem. I hope they can help!

      I got mine at Motherhood maternity but they change their styles sometimes. I can't find my exact one but this one is a pull on one that is super similar. My straps are just straight down in the back and these are Crisscross. www.motherhood.com/collections/nursing-bras/products/mimi-racerback-clip-down-maternity-and-nursing-bra-006-94281-000-001
