    I'm here because my insurance covers this 100%!
    Almost 6 yrs since i last breastfed and pumped and am now pregnant with my 3rd! The previous pump i used was the medela.
    Back then hands free pumps were not available yet and were only in the making. Its amazing to see so many brands coming out with these now.
    Thanks for the review!

    Just wanted to do a PSA for everyone... going through your insurance to get a breast pump is just as easy as using one of those sites like Aeroflow to get a pump. The site I went through did not tell me my insurance didn't pay them. I got a surprise bill when my daughter was 3 months old, and it was too late. I was $300+ out of pocket all because I didn't just go directly through my insurance. I don't want that to happen to anyone else.

    • @isabelabreu7766
      @isabelabreu7766 2 года назад

      hi. thanks for this advice. Do you know if I go directly through my insurance if I will be able to choose the kind of breast pump?

    • @JaslineXD
      @JaslineXD 2 года назад +2

      @@isabelabreu7766 they will give you the sites where you can get your pump, when you go to those sites, they give you the options and if you have to pay to upgrade or not. There are a lot of places that accept insurance but it doesn’t mean they will accept your insurance, so call your insurance first and go from there.

      Yes. This is so important!
      I went with a small supply company that my insurance sent me to with my son.
      This last time I used one of those big companies and they did same thing. Made it seem like it was covered and then later sent me a bill. 😣

    Hello!! I’m trying to watch as much videos on the Elvie stride and came across your video and think you did such an amazing job explaining the ins and outs of it! I want to ask if you’re able to have these in and hold your baby? Are they less bulky than the regular Elvie?

    Hi! I know this is a little older video but I had a questionnnnn, what is your opinion on the battery life? Also some users say that the vent on top isn’t big enough and pressure builds up and causes the suction seal to pop and separate the pump causing it to spill, did you notice or could see that being an issue?? TIA ❤️

  • @paulinemolinar3176

    I wear it at work in the open 3 times a day and the only reason anyone knows I'm pumping is because the noise. My coworkers think it's just the base from music. I have not any any issues with clogged ducts. Even when I go past my pump timeframe it empties me.

    Thank you so much for this! I'm debating between Elvie Stride which my insurance partly covers and Willow Go which it doesn't. Do you have a preference between the two or anything about the Willow Go you like more that is worth considering? Thank you!!

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  2 года назад

      I’m still testing out the Willow Go right now so I can’t say too much yet about how I think they compare. Unofficially I feel like I prefer the Stride a bit more. The Willow Go may not have tubes but I’m not sure that justifies the price difference between the two. Very similar but I think the Stride may be worth your pick unless you already know you love the Willow brand!

    I’d really love to see a review on the BeauGen nipple cushions for pumping! I have elastic nipples and am afraid to get any elvie flange/cups because they look like shallow flange tunnels and I hear beaugen cushions are great for everyone including those with elastic nipples.

    What happens once it fills up? Would be nice to use during commutes to work, but if it doesn’t stop or alert once it’s full does it start leaking 😫

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  2 года назад

      That’s a good point! I feel like for most pumpers, 5 oz for each breast would be enough space. My milk supply is very low since I’m close to weaning so I can’t say what happens when it gets past that point. That’s a good point that I hope someone else can give us the answer to!

  • @mopsie2002
    @mopsie2002 2 года назад +1

    Question for you! As a to-be first time mother, I have no clue what the implications of the 24 breast shield over the 21 would mean. (I found a guide on determining based on nipple size and 21 is my "proper" size.) Would it just not seal well or what, if actually an issue? Trying to determine if I would need to splurge on the other size, but I really have no idea what difference it makes... Thanks for your help and your wonderful review!

    • @jamiecox2817
      @jamiecox2817 2 года назад

      Hey! If you have an incorrect size shield then it will probably be painful (it’ll suck too much or too little of your nipple into the flange) and you won’t get optimal milk expressed. There are inserts available on Amazon to put into the flanges that the pump comes with so you’re not buying an entire new shield 😁

    • @constanzagomezparra8494
      @constanzagomezparra8494 2 года назад

      Hi! You always want to have the proper size this will help you extract more milk and also prevent you from feeling pain or getting blisters.

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  2 года назад +1

      Great question!! The wrong size flange can do a number of things. If it’s too small it can cause loads of friction, nipple trauma, bleeding, cracking, and lots of pain. Too big could create a lot of breast tenderness, no stimulation, pain, and redness. Both can cause clogs from not emptying properly since that what a correct flange size should help do. It’s really important to get it correct. However if you don’t have the money to spend on multiple sizes you can see how the one you have works. If you run into issues you can order one off Amazon!

    I’m struggling to get the same output of milk with this pump (in comparison to my “wall pump”). Anyone have tips on getting the same amount of milk out?
    I’ve kept the settings the same & timed my pumping session as far apart as I normally do. I used to have the traditional Elvie but gave that one away because it was super painful. Would love to hear your thoughts!

    Was there and adjustment period like with the willow? I had the willow and never could get anything going with that and I tried some things and was told 2-3 week adjustment window and with 4 kiddos I didn’t have time to use that for a half hour then pump after to actually get milk, how does this one do?
