An interesting part of the alternate reality aspect of this episode is the lack of a biogenesis scandal. I believe Melky Cabreba was implicated in that and in this save he has had two great seasons to start it off. We also saw Ryan Braun have a monster season in 2012 and not get suspended in 2013. Yasmani Grandal would have also been suspended in 2013.
Also side note, the a's have had 2 consecutive rookie of the year winners. Will be interested to see if they have a dynasty that clashes with the young royals dynasty again.

I got 9 years of Roger Clemens, plugging him directly into my starting rotation out of college... finally the Yankees offered him more than I could match, he tore his ACL in his first year with them, and 2 years later I had him back as a competent long reliever, instead of the HoFer who won two Cy Youngs with me. Not everyone's gonna watch this but I am EXCITED for this. Funny enough I am a very casual Baseball fan who could never tell you even the starting line up of my own team. But I love stuff like this and always will. Idk why but listening to stuff like this along with playing video games are great so imma just play MLB 21.
    Really hope for more!

Hilarious that the Dbacks traded for Mariano Rivera midseason way past his prime and almost won him another ring 😅

Miguel Cabrera winning the Triple Crown in 2012 is inevitable. I also noticed that from the beginning, there was some key players missing from the 2012 Tigers roster on here that should have been that would've made a big difference in their outcome. Was funny to see the Giants v. Reds in the 2012 nlds again too.

Does OOTP have the vast majority of players doing PEDs in the 90s? Cause I would be sorely disappointed if not.

@@pranavarora9976 I love that OP mentioned Luis Gonzalez and you throw PEDs out there. Because the fact a skinny 34 year old suddenly and mysteriously turned into Babe Ruth during the deepest depths of the Steroid Era, yet always maintained this aura of a squeaky clean scrappy guy who got cheated out of an MVP award by Barry Bonds was always hilarious to me.
(Probably had absolutely nothing to do with him ending the dynasty of the despised Yankees/s.)

My best year with him was 1994 when he had the best season I’ve ever seen from a hitter ever
      1994:
      BA:.450
      OBP: .541
      SLG: .874
      OPS: 1.414
      WAR: 16.3
      Hits:267
      2Bs:47
      HRs:64
      RBIs:240
      BBs:121
      Ks:31
      TBs:518
And he did all of this in 583 at bats
Unanimously won his first of 3 MVPs so far
And Larry Walker was a 50/50 player with Jr. being a 50/45 player they both also had 13.5+ WAR seasons amazing

On the subject of the weirdness of Max Russell and the Reliever of the Year Award - OOTP gives a Stuff bonus to pitchers coming out of the pen. He also has a more varied pitch repertoire than other relievers. Might have something to do with it? That's just my guess from playing a lot of OOTP, but there's also the random variance of play both with the talent change modifier and how the game works.

From 1 Braves fan to another, please do an alternate timeline where we didn't keep blowing it in the playoffs.
In the 90's and on up into the early 2000's they could have been one of the most dominant eras in mlb history. It still is in some ways, and I'm still grateful to have them, but they should've won a few world series titles.

just correcting that allen craig and aaron hills ratings were moreso based on their terrific 2012 seasons than their short 2011 exploits. if youre loading the game for 2012 its looking at what actually happened that season for those ratings. if you do recalc after that then in 2013 it'll redo their ratings based on what they did in 2013 (can also choose whether to retire according to history or not) or you can leave recalc off and let the game engine with some randomness play a role in development.
