A lot of talk to say you were wrong. We only heard about JJ Redick as a potential hire, from "sources". It wasn't until Woj dropped the Dan Hurley bomb that we got an actual quote from the source, Rob Pelinka. Hurley was always the FO first choice.
Allen, I think Hurley has been a top secret candidate the whole time, but out respect for the school, they kept it under wraps. I'm sure he's going to take the Lakers job

Hurley wants to get more money from UConn.
Lakers Front Office wants to hire JJ Redick but not get blame if/when he fails.....so now they can say they tried to get Hurley.
AND the guy Woj the NBA reporter got to drop a major sports story on Game 1 of the Finals.
The entire this is a FRAUD. Hurley was never a candidate and still isnt all of this interviews and traveling is for show to get more money for him from Uconn. AND then Hurley can go back and look like a God for "turning down" all that money like Coach K. Total Frauds.
You'll see after he turns this down. His children are adults he has NO REASON to pass on a $50 million dollars extra money. Family Reasons is bullshit the kids are all grown.

I am somewhat surprised that these talking heads never mentioned that he played with Christian laettner and Grant Hill at Duke as their point guard, won 2 National Championships against UNLV's Larry Johnson, Michigan's fab five, and played for several NBA teams until a vehicle accident shorten his career. He is always teaching. He lets his podcast cohosts and guest share in the content. JJ is a team player not a college coach that used to being a dictator. Dictator don't last in the NBA. JJ will be in the NBA longer than Hurley.
