“Revenge… is like a rolling stone, which, when a man hath forced up a hill, will return upon him with a greater violence, and break those bones whose sinews gave it motion.” - Jeremy Taylor (17th Century British Cleric)
Admit it. Meshuggah simply annihilated the game.
They designed, wrote and programmed the game.. Whatchu talkin bout..
@@Midnight.Wisdom. Bruh...that's what I meant! 😀🙌
@@Midnight.Wisdom....and THEN proceeded to annihilate it completely 🤘🏻🤌🏻
I feel like you guys might enjoy, Meshuggah: "I".
Ya gotta be ready for it tho.
It has some longgggg parts... its an over 21 minute song!
Some of the meanest riffs in ALL of metal, though.
I was thinking the exact same thing while watching this reaction. I (the song) might rip their faces off though, 20+ minutes is a heavy dose of Meshuggah if they summon the courage, It would be a glorious reaction.
I is boring, it's so random
I is anything but boring, that track is the epitome of Metal, absolute behemoth
@@chrisgore8597 maybe he means the couple times the drums stop for like 3 mins. Lol
I call it a nice break to have a sip of my coffee. Lol
That song is insane
One Meshuggah song that’s constantly overlooked from their early days is called “Sickening” from their 1994 EP, None, before they broke out with the full-length album Destroy, Erase, Improve via their first hit single “Future Breed Machine” which is another track you should definitely check out, too.
"Future Breed Machine" still holds up today and I first got into them when that came out while I was in high school. They have only gotten better, but damn that song rips.
I prefer humiliative off the same EP
That’s the track that got me into them, two decades ago.
Suffer in Truth. Not as intrinsically complex, but just hits nicely late in the album...
@@AzraelBlackstar Suffer In Truuuuuuth
Yeah this song feels like falling in an abyss of hopelessness
Future Breed Machine (of their second album) was my introduction to Meshuggah and I was hooked immediately. There should be some good live videos of that song (no official video unfortunately).
Do not look down is another amazing song. Well, all songs are amazing…
🤘🏻🔥
Would make my entire month if you guys listened to Born in dissonance by Meshuggah!!!
Oh yeah! One of my fav songs from Violent Sleep of Reason album!
@@TemalCageman and the title track is one of mine!
@@Egoblivion To be fair... pretty much all songs on that album are "hits" for me, but Born in Disonance has a special place for me... But... I have to agree with you that title track is an _amazing_ track. It is a bit more intricate and complicated, but I do love it. Since I started following Meshuggah back in 1994, I think the reason why Born In Disonance takes the top place is because it reminds me a little bit about some of the earlier things Meshuggah did. :)
Koloss still my favourite album of all time.. Can't be beaten..
the sound/production of this album, Koloss, is incredible. And this song is so punitive...
For me, the Obzen / Koloss is peak Meshuggah. Not saying their other eras are bad, really the contrary but Koloss mostly has a special place in my heart.
Meshuggah - I Am Colossus, is a very good track with a cool music video as well. Horns up!
You say you're getting too old for this but I'm pretty sure the band were in their 40s when they made this, and they're still going 10 years later!
And yes Meshuggah don't miss! Really any song you pick will be great.
Stengah studio version. One of their best.
Blessed Sweden
Yall are gonna be going crazy when you react to "Do Not Look Down".
Love your videos! Please do Meshuggah - "Dancers to a Discordant System" live video too!! It'll blow you away.
Seen them 3 times. What a fucking show. It’s perfect.
I so love watching you two because I can feel the mutual admiration for this music and it compounds with the love you have for each other which is so evident. I hope one day I can share what you two have. Love you both!
Koloss is the record this is on and it’s absolutely incredible (and insane) front to back. They have a new record coming out on April 1st which is could not be excited for! If you haven’t checked it out yet you two should watch the Meshuggah-Clockworks drum playthrough, you’ll thank me later. 🔥🔥🔥☺️😉😊👍🏽🙌🏽
i think they already did :)
@@Raaxshas yeah I just realized that. 😂
I only listen to this and Demiurge from Meshuggah and I just heard the tease for the new album and it sounded so raw and thicc I cannot wait to give that one a try
April 1st? I hope it is not an April fool!
@@muskularchicken Oh well you’re in for a treat. I’d recommend listening to the records Koloss, Nothing and Catch 33 to start (then all of the other ones). I hope you love this band and see them live at some point, they are even better live! I’ve seen them 5 times and they killed every time. 🔥🔥🔥
Best channel on the internet. Great reaction as always. This band is nuts.
You should really do the live version of Electric Red from Alive 2010. The last minute has the most epic headbanging ever. From Jens Kidman, the singer🤘
Meshuggah is so unique, so heavy yet so smooth as you said. They get you in a trance, right into a landscape full of biomechanical beasts that walk to the beat and growl ancient spells. lmao.... I seriously recommend you guys the band "ZU", italian math avant garde metal. Try the song "Obsidian", I'm sure you'll like it.
METAL MEDITATION! WHAT A PERFECT WAY TO DESCRIBE THIS SONG.
Guys, you have to go early Meshuggah! ORGANIC SHADOWS, SPASM, ALL CATCH 33, I...
YOU HAVE NO CLUE!!!!! YOU'LL BE BLOWN AWAY !!
Hell yes and songs from _Chaosphere,_ _Destroy Erase Improve,_ _Contradictions Collapse,_ etc...
@@Egoblivion Oh yes... and songs like Humiliative and Gods of Rapture from the None album! :)
This song....man its so emotional. It's like a raging horde of mammoths stomping everything in its path but with elegance
you two are some of the coolest people I've seen! cheers!!
Brutally slow but heavy as fvck.
Check out Marrow. Crazy shit going on there.
I second Marrow along with Don't Look Down.
@@JoshBratton can’t wait for the new album!
@@daves4589 it's gonna be so awesome and heavy
@@slitherywall4460 love that teaser.
@@daves4589 just from the teaser, I have a feeling that it's gonna easily be one of their best albums
joyous reaction to one of their greatest tunes; one that pummels you almost to death then allows you to float away. you truly earn those liberating moments in their crushing soundscapes.
An Endless breakdowm..I'm OG meshuggah fan....ya guys, it be like that..😎🤘
Yes!!!! Meshuggah is a ride...one of the best bands out there!! Tomas is a beast!!!
Yes!! Can't wait to see him kill it in September 🤘🤘
Try Behind the Sun next. That song will blow your mind :)
I went on a deep dive into thier writing technique a while back. They are true musical pioneers! Unless you want to take the time to understand how this is done. Just enjoy the trip and bang to the 4/4 cymbal. Geniuses!🤘
The top comment to the music video still gets me: "brb, gonna fight a mountain". Yeah, this song makes you want to fight mountains.
love you guys, great video!
You can just see the pure joy that meshuggah gives people... trippy and calming to my brain
Best band ever. I love your reaction, like the way I feel
"Swarm" is my favorite. It's got a beautiful groove.
When the snare hits start over the triplets, pure perfection
@@julianbrgle9084 The song that inspired the album!
When I saw this I just laughed and said, oh shit someone is gonna get hurt 😆 Definitely my favorite album from them and probably favorite song. The tone is just oppressive.
And Jen's does this for 2 hours live. First time I saw Meshuggah I was just floor melted. The second time was sheer anticipation of sonic eargasmic explosions.
Their music hypnotises while bludgeoning you over the head.
BLEEEEED
pride of sweden
I missed you guys, you just made my day. I love this song so much
“What do you call it? Blue balls?”
LMAO didn’t catch that last time I watched this.
This is what got me hooked on this band. I'm a late bloomer, this was 10 years ago 🔥🤘... Fucking haunting and deep.
This song got you hooked?...Fan since '02 here.
@@Egoblivion I was late to the game
@@Liz-cmc313 Better late than never! New album _Immutable_ dropping on April 1st! I'm beyond stoked! That riff in the teaser video sounds like a similar vibe to this song too but somehow crushes even more lol!
@@Egoblivion I heard the teaser, 🖤🤘💯
wtf Koloss released when i was 9
God bless you guys. Great reaction!
Welcome back.meshuggah 🙏 thank you for youre reaction. Please more meshuggah and gojira dig deep in both artists
Meshuggah live is a wave of humans not realizing how awesome grooves can be.
One of greatest metal bands of all time. 🤘🖤
Meshuggah is my favourite band. I fucking love their music! They just no how to create catchy yet complex heavy music. I would recommend a very underrated song for you guys called "Violent Sleep Of Reason" live version. Meshuggah live Graspop 2018 (almost full show) the song starts at 36.21. The sound quality is just as good as the studio if not even better!
Lethargica has to be next
Liked and subscribed, 'shuggah IS the "upsidedown"
4:03 ❤🤘 that part, daaaaaammmn
You 2 rock. 🤘
This is fast becoming one of my favorite Meshuggah song's.
Meshuggah - Transfixion
back when Jens had the skullet. engulllllfed!
New track Abysmal Eye, must listen
Much love to you both...
Lethargica next, please❤
Dancers to a discordant system!
"gammmmeee over dude ! it's game over honey !"
"I am toasted. It's out-fxxx-standing. Really, are you kidding me ? The musicianship man !"
You've missed something: New Millenium Cyanide Christ (with perhaps the best music video ever made) :D
Homie got some Dude-Bro energy going on here
He reminds me of a boomer at a wedding trying to hype up the guests to get on the dance floor! And he’s moving on the words not the music! I love it!!!
I love you guys
For the first time in quite some time they're poised to release new music this year. I'm pretty sure I have my album of the year, with Shadow of Intent's latest release, but I'm very much looking forward to new Meshuggah.
Do Not Look Down is a great song by Meshuggah.💎🤙🤙
My favorite rap group
I love to see you react to Meshuggah. Because you make me feel exactly what I felt the first time hearing them. It's night here in Sweden now and I cant sleep. This is maybe what I needed, to feel alive and maybe slumbering into sleep. 😜👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe Bleed drumcam next! 🤕
From Texas here and the Mesh is my favorite band! Opeth is another fave...what great bands your country churns out!
meshuggah levererar alltid m vet inte när du hörde dem första gången men kommer ihåg att jag såg dem på tv umeå popstad 97 sen var de kört
@@Denka187 Haha... yeah... you can find that video here on RUclips... they were a bit more crazy back then. Humiliative is the song. I started following Meshuggah back in 1994 when None mini-cd came out.
Puscifer - “Vagina Mine” (Live from Rock Am Ring 2016), “Telling Ghosts” (official video), “The Undertaker” (from “What Is...” Live)
Meshuggah - "Dancers to a Discordant System" live video
This is my favourite pre gym track
that driving, planet crushing riff,,,!!!
You guys should do Clockworks. The have a on youtube of the drummer playing it live. I would love to see you guys react to that.
Meshuggah hypnotise me too guys don't worry. I've fallen asleep to them many times, and I'm sure my Mum has fallen asleep listening to Bleed as well lol
Still sitting here waiting for you to get to something of Destroy Erase Improve......tick tock....
Your channel is sick!! Please do "electric red" live by meshuggah or "dancer's to a discordant system" live by meshuggah. You will love them both
Is there any way you could upload your old reaction to ''Where Dragons Dwell'' by Gojira again, maybe with some edits or something to prevent copyright?
great reaction. one thing you can rely on with meshuggah is that they are not gonna give you an easy ride.
Meshuggah just announced a new album coming out on April Fools Day 2022!! I saw them once in 2012 Perth Soundwave Metal Music Festival, was amazing seeing Meshuggah and Gojira plus Devin Townsend on one stage as one super Djent band!!!!!
None of the names you mentioned have anything to do with the Djent scene. Meshuggah themselves, even though they know that they inspired the Djent subgenre, do not see themselves as a Djent band. :)
Tune is about Revenge. This tune is my all-time fave.
Maybe go back in time just a bit, and try "Neurotica" from Meshuggah's "Chaosphere" album. To me, it was the beginning of Meshuggah's current sound. Anything from that album is good. I remember when they released it, I blasted my skull to pieces listening to it.
And, I'm 59. You're never too old to bang that head that doesn't bang.
Yo you guys should start diving into Catch Thirty Three, It's a concept album Meshuggah made that functions as one massive 45 minute song and It's nothing short of a masterpiece. Just to get a taste have a go at Track 11 - Personae Non Gratae and Track 12 - Dehumanization. When the first song moves into the second you'll be glad I told you about this absolute gem of an album. Trust me :)
Yes!!
I love this kind of channels for one reason: it's a great way for people (new to contemporary metal/rock or not) to discover new stuff. That said, I think you guys should really invest on some other underground bands, acts that are less "popular" than the groups already covered. Here's a bunch of underrated artists that have been creating amazing songs in the last years:
DISILLUSION - ALEA / Wintertide
OCEANS OF SLUMBER - Pray for Fire
EARTHSIDE - A Dream in Static
BENT KNEE - Being Human (Live at Hand Forged Works)
THE FALL OF EVERY SEASON - Aurelia

there are only two types of people when listening to Meshuggah for the first time, and it became more than clear at the beginning of the video.l
GAME OVER
Devin Townsend said it best... "We all just rip off Meshuggah."
So true
Sin-yous is how it sounds. It's the tendons and other stuff that holds bones together
Meshuggah is kind of hypnotic to me like what you guys said at 3:00
Black holes orbit Meshuggah
You want live, it has to be Bleed Wincent Drumsticks from their live album "The Ophidian Trek"
Meshuggah - Do Not Look Down
Same album, Koloss, and such a banger. Almost as if Meshuggah did a "made for radio" track.
You guys need to hear Carbomb
Please react to ”I am colossus”. It has a really cool video also. You won’t be disappointed 🤘🏻
You should give the band Wormwood a good listening. Great metal from Sweden. Also Amon Amarth, bur them you know.
It's the FN SHIT 🔥🔥🔥
There's a 38 second teaser for their new album up on their RUclips page, that's likely blow out your subwoofers... just saying...
Please listen to New Millennium Cyanide Christ Music Video by Meshuggah!!!!!
Too old?!!! The only thing you get too old for when it comes to metal is mosh pits. Well, if you have any sense lol.
They just dropped a teaser for a new album coming out the beginning of April also.
Yeah, sounds incredible 🤘
Please do a reaction to Psycroptic, Disentomb, or The Amenta. All Australian bands
Listen to the Catch 33 album in one-take please! It's a longer journey you will definitely enjoy.
