I saw your most famous video a couple of years back and was happy to hear your music. I found a set of rhythm bones in some family heirlooms a number of years ago and have always been drawn to playing spoons for some reason. I’ve never know anyone who played spoons and hadn’t ever pursued taking lessons but I am SO glad I have found you learn how to play videos!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. :-) I’ve been holding my spoons and bones quite differently than you instruct and now I see why it’s been so hard to produce certain sounds and keep track of that bottom anvil spoon. I’m planning on a lot of practice this winter since I’m couch bound with a broken knee and now have plenty of forced down time. Thanks for all of your videos. I really enjoy them.
As a young kid, I'd wondered what made a musician's spoons sound so incredible and when I tapped a couple of spoons together they sounded they sounded like bitter disappointment. It is absolutely wonderful to see a woman who has live as hard a life as you have, but is still totally comfortable with herself, and so, so talented. I play drums, hand percussion, guitar, and piano, and I've watched a lot of spoon videos since discovering you here, but you are the best by far.
So I've been a drummer for about 16 years now since I was 11 and got my first set of drumsticks. I started playing the spoons kind of as a joke with my wife while she played banjo and I fell in love with it and it was watching your videos about a year ago that really helped me learn and get better and I want to you to know that if it wasn't for your videos I probably would've gave up a long time ago. I just love how you could come on RUclips and share your life story. Not only is it brave but insightful. I’ve been playing for 1 week now and I can’t put them down, my husband who is a professional musician, ima a singer and play but, the spoons have got me on a roll. After three days he said hey your ping pretty good there lady. Wooooooh I was like really, but I didn’t want pretty good I want great so on we go.... 3 more days and I got a kudos from my neighbors! She like a close neighbor and she was like I was wondering who was making up beats..... holy cow.... in a couple of years I might be good enough to play with the boys on a country tune. They play mostly classic rock and gospel nothing nasty I won’t sing it and they won’t play it..... you know when ppl come up to the platform or when we are on break, they have requests. When I’m on break I need to rest my voice same with the guys. My guitar get heavy after about a 30 min set, and my bold man he plays a strat and that is even heaver. Anyway when I get better I might send you a private video so you can tell me the good bad and ugly. Well it won’t be ugly lol. Love your honest life, your so brave.

I would love to see a breakdown of each sound in a four count of your spoons. Then the variations. It would be so cool to see spoons in every pocket and impromptu music spring up to play because they were there and they had them.
