Podcast: • Rethinking the Belt Sy...
Would be awesome to see Olympic wrestler from the states on the show.
Every wrestler is told to stay out of the collar tie yet everyone does it. LOL
One suggestion do not collar tie on neck use the back of the heard you get better control of the other person.
Thank you for this. As a BJJ blue belt I will admit shooting in for take downs is a weakness in my game. I normally pull guard, but this is a great alternative to that strategy.
Since I have been studying your videos for throws and set ups for BJJ Gi and No Gi been way more confident with the Takedowns and my coaches even Hi Five me for the Judo Throws.
I hope you get a course on BJJ fanatics. But I have bought some of your Judo Videos in your store as well.
Keep at it and Thank you for showing how BJJ and Judo complement each other!!!
1:41 snap down Ippon seionage and koshi guruma

I was hoping you could talk about when people post their arm on the ground to avoid getting thrown. It is interesting that it is not illegal, but it is very dangerous. I get this a lot when I do sasae or ippon during practice - someone will post their arm on the floor to avoid the throw. If I went 100 percent on someone I might break their arm. I train in Japan and there were some guys saying you can do that. I thought it was illegal, but the new rules are only if you put 2 hands on the ground. What do you think about this in Judo tournaments and trading sessions. Tried to find someone talking about this but I can’t find any examples.
when someone posts up, you can usually transition your grip that eliminates that post and leaves you in a very good position.
I think In general the sport is going the NBA direction. Which is to say faster faster faster. In the process they are loosing some good things. But thanks to this channel they are not lost they are now rediscovered and the knowledge is re distributed. 🎉❤️🔥
Living legend we are blessed
Please make more no gi videos thank you sir.
You two are raising the bar.
Please start using cut scenes to show the things you are talking about in a competitive setting. I watch these videos to promote judo in NY, but you need to make these video entertaining to go with the information.
Sounds like this guy's volunteering his time as _pro bono_ editor
"please start doing more work" ok man...
No, he doesn't "need" to do anything for you. These videos are made for educational purposes and not for entertainment.
@@xavierpaquinI'm to lazy
@HechiOkami I already said I watch out of obligation. I want other people to be entertained.
