US Air Force Drill Team Honor Guard at the Air Force Memorial

- This is a performance of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill team at the US Air Force Memorial. The team performed very crisply but there were two obvious mistakes: One of the airmen dropped his rifle at about 3:17, which can be seen on the left side of the screen. You can't actually see the airman lose the rifle in this video, but you see the rifle on the ground. Then at around 11:07 as the captain walks through the spinning gauntlet of weapons, his hat is knocked back by a moving bayonet. This event occurred at the U.S. Air Force Memorial on Sept. 12, 2014, and was part of the Air Force's birthday celebration.

Very nice drill sequence. Crisp. And they've got bayonets fixed. It's a wonder they don't cut each other every once in a while.

While am a huge admirer of the USAF being the daughter of one who served, my opinion this should be a silent ceremony. We don't need the play by play. We all know it.
But this isn't a ceremony, this is a performance. They are very different things
