And besides, from my own experience of using maxed dang hung supports, with his signature LC with my comp -and maybe others- he kinda sucks: he takes longer, can’t fill a overall role well, and is more situational then selee or QQ, which I use as main dmgers even without a element weakness.)
I really like what hoyo is doing with honkai starail by increasing the importance of sustaining characters. Unlike genshin where you can just invest all in dps charcters, HSR is a game where sustain charcaters are extremely valuable.
I'm guessing in the future where we have more busted offensive supports where people can easily 0 cycle MOC contents, defesive supports are gonna become less desirable

i know for a fact fu xuan would be much more valuable to my account, but im also pulling based on who i like as characters. i also still lack a limited 5* dps, so imma just get one over and bring dan heng home
If i have dps like kafka blade etc, then I wont pull Dan heng. But in my case, I just started playing this game since kafka banner came up so I definitely need Dan heng and Fu xuan both if I am lucky
Fu Xuan is definitely the more valuable unit of these two for sure. Nothing against IL at all...im sure hes gonna be great. Fu Xuan just potentially fills a much much greater need.
yes, when you have Fuxan, your team like have Harmony, tanker in the same unit. This allows you to run 3 support. and one DPS. Example: Seelle, Fx, SW, last slot or sw maybe pela, Tingyun, QQ, even Bronya(little hungry skill point )
I agree that she's more valuable than the two. IL is a great DPS according to leaks, but we usually get 4 DPS characters for 2 patches. This will overshadow a lot of DPS characters since they will become powercrept or irrelevant at some point. Fu Xuan in the other hand is like Luocha. We don't usually get healers and preservation characters on the limited banner making them much more valuable than dos characters. Luocha is the first ever 5 star limited to have a heal out of his turn that also scales with atk without using skill points all the time. Now that Fu Xuan is releasing we will have a new character that will act differently than other preservation characters. The dmg absorption and reduction on her kit is unique since she's the only one that have both while fire mc only has dmg reduction. She also buffs allies crit rate, hp, and resistance. A lot of enemies have been tanky lately and out damaging them and surviving at the same time is almost impossible because of how high the enemies atk does. Debuffs are also a factor for dps characters and furthermore making Fu Xuan or any future tank or healer characters a must pull.
the only thing i'm affraid about fuxuan is when you're fighting like the deer or kafka and they use the AoE and she takes like over 200% of the dmg and dies
Actually with right build scaling max hp as well as sets/LC that reduces damage taken, she's still gonna be alive what's more amazing is that her talent will heal her to almost full hp
Fu Xuan banner is a no brainer, especially if you skipped Luocha. Generally I find limited 5* sustain units to be overkill in terms of what's needed for survivability. Fu Xuan's kit really takes it to the next level with proactive debuff immunity and crit rate buff for the entire team. Also, Lynx is looking insane with Blade or Clara which I both use, and that's just a bonus for pulling. IL is more of a novelty unit at this point for people who have been waiting for his release. He will be very strong if you are still looking to clear MoC10.
@@softerhaze IL, luocha, tingyun and pela is an insane team that will clear everything in the game. Gepard and Kafka works fine for the other team. I don't know enough about Jingliu but it depends if you need help clearing content now. Also, whichever character you like better makes more sense to pull for in the end.
@@softerhaze IL is a very powerful and flexible unit, and one that's not likely to get powercrept for a while. Jingliu is somewhat similar in that they both have a cost to their damage. Hers is much easier to meet than IL, as she just requires a bit extra teamwide healing to offset it. In that regard, Luocha is a fantastic support for both, being SP positive and having teamwide chip healing in his talent. In general, IL will be doing more damage, but Jingliu will be a lot easier to build a team around. They're similar enough that you can pull for whichever character you prefer designwise.
People really sleeping on her ability to make it so you can build your other supports and DPS with very minimal defensive stats. That’s a HUEG buff to your overall team damage, even if it doesn’t show up on her stat sheet.
yes, but she easily died in an area boss burst isn't she if she taking abt60% of all team damage. but saves the team for another burst. gepard seems better choice if got one, or clara combined with marc. but if you don't have tanker yet i think it's a good choice also. utility is always have it's advantage.
Ironically, i really like Fu. As an astrologian player in ff14, she spoke to me. But i already have luocha, and i canr really imagine any defensive character out classing him. Then we have IL, who seems really cool, but is very selfish. And i didn't like seele because i felt like i wasn't really playing with a full team. It was just her. Tricky tricky.
Fu xuan seems like another Luocha in the sense that once you get her your account is kinda set for life. I have Luocha myself but I’m still gonna get FX for extra security (also second memory of chaos team)
You cannot have two Luochas, but having Fu Xuan means you have equivalent comfort on both your teams in MoC. Personally, I feel that the ability to have 3 offensive team slots to work with, on any team, against any enemy, is the highest level of value you can ask from a defensive unit. Luocha and Fu Xuan both offer that comfy level of slot consolidation that allows you to have more fun with teambuilding.

Glad to see you back in good health! I think my main hang up with dan heng is that while his multipliers seem high, he consolidates all of his damage into his skill and ult, so while he may hit hard, his entire damage is that one big number. He doesn't have a resurgence mechanic like Seele, or a follow-up attack like Blade, or a dot mechanic like Kafka. He also potentially consumes a ton of skill points, which may limit potential support options.
This also means he can have even potential with the addition of SP generating supports soon. It's not good to limit your sight to just what we have now.

@@IyoverseI think keeping max skill per turn isn’t gonna be impossible, considering his ultimate which regen 2 sp, you can pair him up with supports like tingyun which regens his energy and is positive sp, he regens a lot on 3 stack skill too , there’s also future support that synergizes with him really well
Me as a Qingque main user: Welcome to the SP Eater Club, Dan Heng IL 🎉 I agree with your point on Fu Xuan, since on my early days I'd prioritized sustain > DPS (the reason I skipped Seele + JY and went for SW + Luocha instead). But I already have a comp build suited for Qingque SP spam, it's so easy to just use that very team for Dan Heng IL. Also, my f2p account is very lacking in DPS variability (no *5 DPS at all!!) and blessed with the sustain units (I only got E1 Bailu from 150 pulls on standard and needed to go for the guaranteed Luocha because I lost 50/50 to Gepard on his banner) + my current problem in MoC is I need to clear them fast enough, not about surviving. In the end, just pull for whatever you want or need! Husbu/waifu/adopt child > meta for ever ❤
@@javiersalgado83 I usually use Luocha Pela + one other chara whoever I need/want (usually Hook for funsies cuz I love that brat). People say Tingyun is the ideal one for that last spot but I haven't built my Tingyun yet, still plain basic lv 1, planning on building her after I made my DHIL somewhat decent.
I'm getting Fu Xuan, and she has the potential to auto clear MoC 10, with mono quantum or pseudo mono quantum (3 qua + 1 flex that matches enemy weakness). I already have a team in mind for me to accomplish this, and I cannot wait to try it out.
This is the same place I'm in. My kafka team has bailu and clears everything easily regardless if they're weak or not but my seele and silver wolf team really depends on that silver wolf rng sometimes so getting the ability to use a 4th flex that will always match will be amazing.
ME too, I have both SW and seele, and their LC. with FX I can run A team with last Slot very flex with the enemy weakness. that may buffer, debuffer. event other dps like QQ or welt
I have Gepard but I'm definitely pulling for Fu Xuan. Then I'm going to build a meme team of all the preservation characters but with the best DPS relics I can find for them and see how long it takes to clear an MoC 10 fight with them (because even with DPS relics, with all 4 of them throwing shields and DR, nobody is dying). Crit March 7th with This is Me! lightcone to get that DEF factored into her counter attacks (which always go off because of Gepard and TB's shield) is gonna be meta (lol).
A team of Dan Heng IL, Pela/SW, Luocha, and Fuxuan would be insane. With that team you will basically never be debuffed, you'll get CR and hp from Fuxuan, you'll get 30% CD from all the supports running the new set, you'd take like no damage because it would be mitigated and healed, debuffing from the Nahility character, and you'd constantly be generating the 3 skill points he needs to get max skill.
may it not be the strongest team for IL but that team just can't die :)). if you want to active FX' E then your fx only can provide 1/3 skill point per her turn. it is not the problem if fx luocha and your pela are faster IL.
@@Kaori--Lynx with Giga Chad Dan is terrible. You absolutely don't want to use them together. Lynx heal will increase Giga Chad Dan taunt value since he is destruction character.
He's back!! I think nobody is a must as a F2P player, having said that I'd recommend Fu Xuan over IL to newer players as she'll be here in the long run & having a solo sustainer in your account of her calibre makes it much more stronger going forward. DPS, no matter how strong, come and go.
That's what I'm thinking. Having Luocha on one side of MoC makes me see how far Natasha falls behind on the other side. I NEED to pair her with a shielder, which reduces the damage output of that team greatly. Makes me think Fu Xuan is a better option, as she will cover the second side 🤔 If she can help mitigate enemy CC, she will help Jing Yuan immensely! Since I already have him and already invested into him, if she is a boost for him, it makes her more of a must pull for my particular roster. I need to see whether she ends up doing that though. When it comes to coverage, the new ice lady, whose name I forget, would help my team greatly. Much as Pela and March offer a team, damage output is not it 😆
@Iyoverse so I've heard, but Seele/Blade havers shouldn't be discouraged about this even if he does end up outdamaging them by a lot. They're still valuable assets to have on your account regardless if their 2nd or 3rd best at dishing out dmg.
I don't know why people are so worried about him using too much skillpoints like every dps uses them..seele is also very skill point hungry..sometimes u have to basic attack on seele because of her resurgence mechanic..it's not the end of the world..pela,tingyun and a sustain ideally loucha is more than enough for Dan heng IL.the herta shop light one is pretty good on him so he is very f2p friendly
Resurgence only happens when you kill an enemy, which won't happen a lot at elite/boss stages. Most of the time you're just focusing on the elite/boss itself and uses 1 sp per turn. Even if you kill a mob every turn Seele only uses 2 sp per turn (you won't ult on a mob). Farming mob waves isn't important since it's easy and everyone even herta works there. It's nothing compared to Daniel who needs to use 3 sp per turn for max damage (you can ult every 4 turn to save 2 sp) . Assuming everyone's same speed, other units only have 2 sp every 4 turn to use. Pela, tingyun and luocha is obviously enough because they're the most sp positive units in the entire game. That doesn't mean other units like Bronya and Asta will work with him.

@@animestarrail I'll talk about single target only since he obviously does aoe better than a hunt character. His triple normal attack is around double (2.27x) seele's skill. His ult is way weaker than seele tho and it takes 1 more turn to recharge. That's only the multipliers since they both have some extra damage stuffs I'm too lazy to calculate. Ignoring all those stuffs, 3sp Daniel should be around 50% stronger than seele without resurgence and 2sp is basically equal. Note that seele here is only 1sp per turn. Daniel is no doubt the most powerful but it comes at the cost of using a lot more sp than any main dps.

About mister Dan Heng, I agree with the point of him losing flexibility because of the skill point hunger, but there are supports like Hanabi, Huohuo or Ruan Mei in their way, Dan Heng may be hard to use at maximum efficiency now, but very soon he will have supports that helps his flaws pretty much (I see Tingyun as an awesome option for him too!) About lady Fu Xuan, yes I'm going for her because of the mono quantum, but I don't see necessity in using a healer and Fu Xuan in the same team (waiting for Hanabi!), anything will probably be dead before being able to kill any of your units with her, not sure about weekly bosses but I do think it still won't be needed. That point being said, I'm not much into using Lynx in mono quantum, but as a good healer for the acc. We had only one 4* healer for quite a long time and this was kinda painful for early/mid gamers. Lafy Fu is an absolute titan at what she does and I easily see her as a character that you will never stop using, even if I didn't had the mono quantum I'd be tempted for her. Well, I have good reasons, I'm sure she will make the game be on easy mode. I usually preffer using potential of something as my criteria for analysis, and both Dan and lady Fu have an amazing one! I'd still say Fu Xuan is a more solid option. Dan Heng has a good potential but depending a lot on his team. Fu Xuan IS the potential that ANY team can depend.
I can't talk about those in my videos without getting sniped by Hoyo ninjas, bro. lol I don't even know who those characters are because I don't wanna get thrown in Hoyo prison or something! Both of them have their merits and super excited for both!
As someone who lost the 50/50 on Jing Yuan, hasn't gotten a single new character from the normal banner after 200 pulls, and just wasn't interested in Blade (Simping for Kafka took priority) Dan Heng is a sorely needed second banner DPS for me. With 49 pity and a guarantee, I'll have the ability to try my luck on Fu Xuan as well, or save for the 1.4 banner characters if I feel inclined to roll on anything there. Looking forward to trying him out in a mono-imaginary + SW team with Luocha, Yukong, SW and Imagine Dragon.
“I don’t need these characters” Dan Heng is an imaginary DPS, that has a lot of value in of itself. E0 DHIL outperforms seele and he out damages her E6 when he’s E2
Firstly he already has silver wolf which negates the argument that you "need" an imaginary dps. Secondly as he said do you really need to invest all those resources into a new dps when you already have 2-3 or more dps characters built just to get around a 5% dps increase from the other dps chars you own?

Pela is able to 0-cycle the MoC stage 9 as the main DPS. Pela. The Nihility debuffer support. Who cares if one character is slightly better than the next. It doesn’t matter. You can beat the entire game with the free starter characters.
I have the opposite of DPS overload. Partly because of chance. Partly because I’ve skipped everything to save for IL. Got Bronya from starter banner and Bailu from standard. Then kept losing every 50/50 to either two. E1 Bailu, E1 Bronya. Got Luocha and Silverwolf. So Abundance of supports 5stars but only Jing Yuan and invested wind Dan Heng as damage dealers. So I’m counting the days on 1.3 ^~^
Same I skipped every banner.suing only 4 star dan Heng to beat most of the bosses but I cannot beat all of the content bc it requires 2 teams which I’m not prepared yet
Welcome back and nice scrunchy! For me, I want IL for Imaginary DPS as I don't have Welt. Fu Xuan is gonna be fun just to crack my Clara out, but the main reason I'm gonna pull on her banner is Lynx. I keep changing my mind on who I wanna sink my summons in for 1.3 & 1.4. So we'll see what I decide on when the patches arrive lol
I really agree with this opinion. For F2P player this what they needed. Consider which character, type and path for next Warp. This make me rethink what I need. Either way, I also think Fu Xuan more valuable for who doesn't had Preservation character. March 7th and Fire MC is exception since we got them for free. Anyway my luck really bad. I had a lot of DPS character so what I needed right now Abundance and Preservation character. But..I don't know if I can get Lynx. XD I really had bad time when pulling new 4 star character so yeah I not hoping too much.
Honestly it comes down to each account, if you pulled for a really good dps but skipped Luocha or got unlucky with him or in my case started playing after he was gone Fu xuan's banner is a savior, and in the rare chance that you pulled for Luocha but never pulled for a good dps IL might be your best bet *obviously never pull before the testing comes out from others to not have another Jing Yuan incident*
In gachas there will never be a must pull dps if the game have power creep the next dps will be better if mihoyo keeps the balancing as in genshin dps s have around the same value so its preferences so that's why I say a dps is never a must pull
This patch is gonna be crazy, couse Both Lynx and Fu Xuan are so well tuned for each other they truly are must haves, even more since both are from paths where we need more characters from and if u need a second healer(like me) couse u did't get one of the 5 star ones.
I think you're right on. Danny IL will be the 3rd DPS in a row, and 1.4 has 2 more DPS coming up. Considering I really want Numby for fun, I can't justify pulling anyone but Fu Xuan in the meantime.
I'd like to get Imagine Dragon but I lost my 50/50 trying to get E1 Kafka, I started to build a Pity before I came to my senses and stopped so I'm like 50 or so pity in and really want Fu Xuan so I can't justify trying to pull for him putting it at risk that I'll have to spend a ton of money if I lose the 50/50 again plus there's all of the mats that go into actually leveling him up
Great video. These kind of videos make me even more confused with which banner should I pull. I only have yanqing as a 5 star DPS and only natasha and Fire MC as sustain units. thus making all the points you've made about pulling for both valid for me. I really don't know who should I try to pull (I have 170 tickets waiting)
Oof. You're in a tough predicament for sure, but I'd advise shooting for whoever you see yourself having the most fun with. I like DMG over defense all the time, so 9/10 I pick DPS personally. The general rule of thumb is to go for sustainability though because then you can survive a lot easier. With 170+ tickets before v1.3, you might actually get away with getting both. If I were you, I'd shoot for Imagine Dragon unless you really wanted a character like Topaz or Jing Liu coming in v1.4. If not, I'd get Imagine Dragon and buy Fall of Aeon from Herta's shop. Max it out at S5 for free, then save everything else so you can try to snipe Fu Xuan on a 50/50, then stop spending and go back to saving.
You got the engagement~ just been playing Hsr for pne month or less... And ive een eyeing to pull my Gepard at the 300th cause i didnt play the game from the beginning to git gud. Im curious about other peoples op on Fu Xuan, and so far all i understood is she is Tank Buffer. But any other possible skill perks, or talent quirks, i couldnt imagine in a team i currently have. . Youre quite good in explaining thinga so yt did me good recommending you~

Dragons are tough! Was a huge fan of them when I was younger (still am, but I'm a big kid now lol). Having both Gepard and Luocha definitely makes the pull for Fu Xuan much harder. I'd go for Imagine Dragon as well.
As much as I’d like to pull Imbibitor Lunae so I can fully utilize my E6 Yukong, I already have so many DPS characters; pulled both Seele and Jing Yuan and ended up getting every standard banner DPS character as well. On top of that, I *need* Fu Xuan so I can complete my quantum team and I only have so many pulls, so they’re all gonna have to go to her.
There's no enemy with a single weakness, so I don't see any urgency to build a mono quantum team. We can pretty much use Blade or Kafka or IL with the same result as Seele (mono Quantum DPS). In fact, relying too much on Seele to one shotting enemy + plus single target debuff SW; sometimes can be Skill Point greedy. It feels more safe and flexible using less SP unit, like Blade, Kafka, and Luocha. For me tho, but yeah people who have good Seele Main will be happy with this release. Just my opinion. :) Hope you guys have good luck pulling.
@@wqi09 SW is not SP-hungry at all. When you can guarantee that her Skill always gives the right weakness (which means always on a monoquantum or quantum + 1 overlapping type team) then you're looking at 1 SP spent per every 3 *enemy* turns. Which is a very important distinction to make, because enemies are almost always slower than (well built) player characters. Realistically, a fast enough SW can squeeze in 3 or 4 basic attacks in the time it takes the average boss to exhaust her debuffs. And, let's also be real, it's very rare that any single enemy will survive long enough to shed SW's debuffs against a team tailor-made for supporting Seele. Source: I've been running Seele + SW + Bronya + flex on every MoC cycle since 1.1, and I've never felt short on SP. SP economy is ultimately a game of optimising your rotation based on your characters', and enemies', relative SPDs.
As someone who has Blade, Clara, & Kafka as my 5 star dps I’m definitely not pulling for IL 😭 I have Gepard & fire trailblazer as my preservation units but neither of them can do what Fu Xuan does so the choice between the two is easy for me

I seem them curls my guy you lookin fly Imagine dragon these balls across your face will be one of the best DPS characters in the game, I am very certain he will compete with Seele. I have E2 Yukong so I'm gonna try to get 4 yukongs, hopefully get E6 and run him on my second team. I only have Jing Yuan as a 5-star DPS and I need another one, but I can't take Tingyun away from him.
I gotta get 'em washed after EVO. lol Vegas is a different type of Texas heat. I'm aiming for E6 Yukong as well because if I do pull Imagine Dragon, but he's definitely worth it. Do you already have your Yukong built into?
@@Iyoverse My Yukong's not particularly well-built, I'd say somewhat invested, lvl. 70 but stats aren't particularly great, will need to finagle a semi-decent set on her and get some traces up. I definitely started prefarming for DHIL a little late because I overestimated how fast it would be to get everything. My harmony lightcones are a little bungled, I'm forced to switch Meshing Cogs between Bronya and Asta but good news is I'll easily be able to get Bronya's LC from the shop after I pull, which I can put on Bronya which lets me shift around my LCs allowing me to use Planetary for Yukong. It'll work itself out and I got some fuel to burn as well.

great video! Glad to have you back. I was able to get Kafka on guarantee, but I lost the 50/50 for Silverwolf so I’ve been struggling to decide who to pull next. I’ve got Seele running one team and Bailu/Kafka on the other. It’s been working alright, I just need to spend some time upgrading my supports.
Ooooh.... Hm... I'd definitely drop some Jades for Fu Xuan based on what you told me. Her + Seele and even Lynx would set you up real nice on your account. Imagine Dragon would be insanely strong, but you'd need to have some specific supports for him to really rock his socks off.
My second team can't use Fu Xuan bc the dps is Yanqing, but it does seem like she'd have value to other players. I will be pulling on both banners anyway (bc I want Lynx but I want to use my guaranteed on DHIL bc I feel like he'd be a good replacement for YQ if I need aoe)
Uhmm... just to point out smth, while fuxuan giving crit rate is nice, but planar set effect like salsotto or rutilant need a fix amount of crit rate on the character detail screen (or before the fight) to work. So i don't think you could immediately switch from crit rate body to crit dmg without considering that, just because you have fu xuan.
I feel like we should slow down judgment on these units until after their patches since MoC will most likely be tailored to them to make them look better (much like how we had with kafka iirc). I feel like both of them are skippable and same with every other unit EXCEPT SW with her kit. I personally have not pulled since 1.0 where i got seele, and i have not had a single engagement where i was stuck. Im currently at 256 pulls saved for Jing Liu in 1.4
I’m team both, I already built SW and Seele and have all items to max IL. 1.3 imma farm resources for lynx and Fu Xuan. Can’t wait for mono quantum and imaginary. But for sp value for IL, I’d rather use pela and ting but i don’t mind regardless.
I really like Fu Xuan but I spent all of my savings on Kafka to get her to E3 and LC. I love her animations too but depending on how much I have by then I might skip her banner. I might drop a few pulls on the banner and see if I get lucky but I mainly wanna save for the upcoming planets and may just wait for a rerun
I feel like people underestimate dps in star rail. Dps doesn’t get power crept that hard compared to support, support gets way more power crept in star rail just based on situations. For example, the new insect boss is gonna have a lot of mobs spawning from it, making SW less viable, it just depends on situation, which is why there are still lots of people saying you should have multiple dps
As far as I know, there is no support character that got powercrept until now. Bronya's unique advance forward, tingyun's energy regen, asta's speed buff, yukong's massive crit buff, etc. As for the DPS, it's not like they get powercrept, but there are just so many dps characters that you can choose from. Any character that can deal big pp dmg can always work. On the other hand, all supports have unique skills that can't be easily replaced. Sure silverwolf is less viable compared to other supports when it comes to AoE. But that's because she was always meant to be used against single bosses, and she's very good at that. Besides, that insect boss is already weak to wind, quantum, and imaginary. We have three strongest dps for those element so we don't really need her in the first place, cuz her only purpose is enabling the dps.

Fu Xuan looks like she's going to be amazing, which is great because I've been wanting her since we first saw her in the game. Her ult is so satisfying too, I can't wait to pair her up with Seele and Silver Wolf.
Got only Blade and Welt as my 5 stars, I'm planning to pull for guaranteed Imbibitor Lunae then go for Fu Xuan (mostly for Lynx), cuz I only need a second healer, Blade himself is pretty dang broken alr
I'm honestly thinking fuxuan doesnt need speed boots and you just go full hp or at the very least have an er rope for your ult so you can easily regen those stacks for your self heal. one way to guarantee your skill at the start of battle is that planar orb set where it gives you 5% er and at 120 speed your character is advanced by 40% at the start of battle. Since unless i'm reading it wrong her field lasts for 3 of her turns and not 3 of each allies turns so if she's slow af her field uptime would be much longer compared to her having like 150+ speed which would eat up those 3 turns asap.
But at the same time, it's not a shield. You cannot use unit like Yanqing with her because even though the damage mitigation is insane, Yanqing still receive damage from the enemy, which is not what he wants.

I stopped playing after getting silverwolf, so she’s my only limited 5 star, along with Clara and Bronya. I want a dps (jing Liu is possible) but need a second sustain like fu xuan. Hard choice!
Go for fu xuan. There Is Linx for Clara Hypercarry team and Fu Xuan that Is universally good with silver Wolf in any team...you can do very Easy 2-2 or 3-1 of 2 elements and if your quinque Is at least E4 build her
I will pull each dps unit per element that I don't have then go for support units later If I can. I did the same thing in Genshin Impact and Houkai 3rd tho I can clear any difficult content later. My limited characters in my account until now are Seele, Jingyuan, Blade, and IL work just fine. So yes, I NEED these characters
I have a team ready for him I got a 4 pc relic set that is good for him and 2pc ornaments that are mid, I got accession materials for his traces so I’m pretty prepared for him I won’t have any problem unless my team is not enough to sustain his skill hunger
Well, following that logic and given we have 2 more dps characters coming in 1.4 one might as well just save forever until that hypothetical “must pull” unit comes so in my opinion just pulling for the characters you like works just fine

Edit: Fu xuan and Blade is a team and then u got 2 more not rlly necessary slots (in simulated universe mainly) but they can be filled with an abundance character and either a harmony/nihility character. Im thinking of running: Fu Xuan, Blade, Lynx and Yukong.
DHIL is going to be the first banner I skip entirely. Kinda like you said, I really can't afford to add another 5* damage dealer to build right now. Fu Xuan though... I don't have Gepard, and I've identified several instances where I really could have benefitted from a cracked Preservation character.
I don't have gepard, bailu and lost 50/50 on luocha. And guess what ? I got seele , silverwolf and e6 qingque. So definitely I'm going for fu xuan and Lynx (i need a second healer)

Probably gonna go for Fu Xuan, while I am newer and only have Kafka as a leveled dps with Sampo supp I am not truly concerned about MoC atm and having Fu Xuan now seems like a great pickup.
From what we've officially seen and heard, Dan Heng IL hard power creeps Seele, even when Seele is C6 our dear friend DHIL will still most likely be superior at F2P levels and low spender levels given how impressive his damage is, how easily it's buffed up by Harmony, and it's AoE. As for Lady Fu, she has a PhD in our teams not dying from what we've officially seen. Even Luocha can't stop us from getting RNG two tapped from full HP to death every time, so she has immense value in this case; certainly more so than DHIL if we're struggling to stay alive. Both have incredible pull value for an F2P account. Whether you missed Seele, or just want more Imaginary Break coverage, DHIL is likely to be a top tier meta defining DPS unit for a good long while. And Fu Xuan is going to be irreplaceable for a long time as well since she just stacks HP and makes our teams undying from the looks of things. 😺 It does indeed ultimately come down to what your account needs more of, survivability or damage. Both are lifelong account additions I'd say, neither being considered as an "F2P trap" per se. 😃 Personally I'll be aiming for both (and more Yukong eidolons for her strong E6) with preference given to Fu Xuan since even with Gepard I'm still struggling a little bit. Daniel's dps comes from his triple skill which uses 3 sp, so it makes sense he power creeps seele who mostly uses 1 sp per turn. He may be harder to use for f2p players without a very sp positive team (e.g. tingyun, pela, luocha). I'd say he still ranks at the top but isn't as universal as seele who can basically fit in any team and has no major downsides.
really depends on his kit tbh, he's very skill point hungry even more so then seele, so if he has a way to consistently proc 3 skill point every turn without compromising the rest then he has that potential, the rest really depends on his traces which we have no full info on yet, if his traces all boast his dmg output and skill point efficiency then maybe, his basically a more powerful QQ but imaginary, my issue with him is he relies too much on 3 skill points to do top dmg, compared to seele who if crits does ton of dmg as her skill and ultimate has a high multiplier to begin with, and her resurgence is much easier to keep uptime, so i disagree on that point of seele being power creep for now, but time will tell, also based on gear itself quantum still has the best gear set bonus for dmg compared to the rest for now, anyhow the one who is getting powercreep the most as of right now if im being honest is jingyuan
This is a crazy statement to make, but I'm absolutely willing to look into it. From what we've officially seen, he's already out DPSing an E6 Seele? With or without his sig LC? That's some INSANE DMG output right there. I might have to change my own mind on the F2P account and pull him anyway.
I want Dang Hung but i also want Fu Xuan Dan hung can work really well with Yukong but Fu Xuan can make other characters much better as long as it isnt someone like the preservation trailblazer who is reliant on getting attacked Oh and Lynx is Natasha 2.0 I have 25 pulls rn so i think im just going to pull for daddy Lunae and then just save back up for Fu

But e0 Luocha + Blade/Clara combo would be worse than any eidalon Lynx+Blade/Clara, for sure. And this is alone - insane. Also her eidalons as they are on honey right now, completly cracked. I say this word again - Insane value, i will put all my tickets into that banner(~250) untill i got Lynx e6 or Fu Xuan e1. I know it might not happen, and i will be completly broke, without Lynx and with just single copy of Fu Xuan, but atleast I will know i did everything I can xD

Warms my heart to see Wolfey making a cameo appearance on a HSR video lol. Much as Fu Xuan's utility would be nice, I think I still have to go for dragon Dan Heng. Gepard, Luocha, March 7th, and Bailu can keep defense covered for now, even if I spend most of MoC 10 yelling at Bailu how much she sucks (I call massive BS that her passive doesn't go off if she gets hit with cc). As someone who missed Seele, I still need a character to scratch that big damage numbers itch.
If you're new you shouldn't be pulling Inbibitor Lunae AT ALL. He's a Hypercarry character which means he'll need a specific team to enable him and building him up properly will cost you a lot of resources. Fu Xuan is the better choice if you need a sustain unit. If you need a DPS, JingLiu or Topaz will be a better bet in 1.4. But if you want Husbando Dan heng, by all means pull away. His Chinese motif is a certified banger.
Fu Xuan is absolutely the more valuable unit, but you're making an odd assumption that everyone got Blade. Not everyone did. A lot of people were waiting for Kafka and had to skip Blade to get her so having another Destruction path character coming in after her is pretty useful. In the grand scheme of things though, Fu Xuan will definitely be the better investment, especially since Lynx is also on her banner so if there's even a small doubt whether one or the other is what you need, you more likely than not need Fu Xuan. DHIL is only for people who absolutely know they need him, for whatever reason.
my fear from fuxuan is that she would need a healer on the side , since she doesnt heal her teammates while they take a % of dmg . she either will only work with someone like blade that heals himself, or depand on a healer , which makes having her pointless imo (a 5 star support that demands more supports)
all i have to say about IL, which is only made clearer by the previous banners and the future upcoming units, is this: DPS units are dime a dozen and all can brute force all content in the game. A GOOD and SOLID support/sustain is eternal.
I am starting to feel slightly hesitant because going into these banners I already knew there was no way I am gonna use IL in battle. I don't like Imaginary weakness break, I never have. I sort of feel like I want him just so I can marvel at his design any time I like. Is it worth pulling as a FtP player with a reason like this? Technically speaking neither IL or Fu Xuan fit my playstyle but I dunno...
I expect IL to be mid, because if he's not and he can rival Seele right now, then he will just break the game when Hanabi releases. I assume his SP hunger is meant to prevent you from fully charging every attack and there is no way you could sustain it with Bronya (doing it twice per turn + her 1SP). But supposedly Hanabi can also make your DPS character play twice, except she can also provide the SP you need for it, with her ult. The more SP hungry the character is and the more it's balanced around it - held back by the lack of SP, the more broken it gets with Hanabi on board.
I'm very close to hard pity (with guarantee) from Kafka's banner (copium) and I'm wondering if I should save it or pull, since I haven't played since launch week and am stupidly behind. This video really helps.
Thanks for the video! I feel like a lot of players around me are overhyping Dan Heng and undervaluing Fu Xuan, and I think they're wrong. I agree that FX has higher value for players with Silver Wolf or Seele, and less value for players with Luocha. I'm personally going to pull for her, even though I have some FOMO for skipping Dan Heng.

I really like what hoyo is doing with honkai starail by increasing the importance of sustaining characters. Unlike genshin where you can just invest all in dps charcters, HSR is a game where sustain charcaters are extremely valuable.
I'm guessing in the future where we have more busted offensive supports where people can easily 0 cycle MOC contents, defesive supports are gonna become less desirable

Fu Xuan is definitely the more valuable unit of these two for sure. Nothing against IL at all...im sure hes gonna be great. Fu Xuan just potentially fills a much much greater need.
yes, when you have Fuxan, your team like have Harmony, tanker in the same unit. This allows you to run 3 support. and one DPS. Example: Seelle, Fx, SW, last slot or sw maybe pela, Tingyun, QQ, even Bronya(little hungry skill point )

I agree that she's more valuable than the two. IL is a great DPS according to leaks, but we usually get 4 DPS characters for 2 patches. This will overshadow a lot of DPS characters since they will become powercrept or irrelevant at some point. Fu Xuan in the other hand is like Luocha. We don't usually get healers and preservation characters on the limited banner making them much more valuable than dos characters. Luocha is the first ever 5 star limited to have a heal out of his turn that also scales with atk without using skill points all the time. Now that Fu Xuan is releasing we will have a new character that will act differently than other preservation characters. The dmg absorption and reduction on her kit is unique since she's the only one that have both while fire mc only has dmg reduction. She also buffs allies crit rate, hp, and resistance. A lot of enemies have been tanky lately and out damaging them and surviving at the same time is almost impossible because of how high the enemies atk does. Debuffs are also a factor for dps characters and furthermore making Fu Xuan or any future tank or healer characters a must pull.
the only thing i'm affraid about fuxuan is when you're fighting like the deer or kafka and they use the AoE and she takes like over 200% of the dmg and dies
Actually with right build scaling max hp as well as sets/LC that reduces damage taken, she's still gonna be alive what's more amazing is that her talent will heal her to almost full hp
She takes split dmg, herta 5 star lc will generate shield.
She'll be able to tank it fine as long as she's built right.
She go extremely well with the herta cone because she is the only preservation that scale on hp so she kinda f2p friendly

Fu Xuan banner is a no brainer, especially if you skipped Luocha. Generally I find limited 5* sustain units to be overkill in terms of what's needed for survivability. Fu Xuan's kit really takes it to the next level with proactive debuff immunity and crit rate buff for the entire team. Also, Lynx is looking insane with Blade or Clara which I both use, and that's just a bonus for pulling.
IL is more of a novelty unit at this point for people who have been waiting for his release. He will be very strong if you are still looking to clear MoC10.
I got gepard on Luochas banner, but im still gonna pull for fu xuan because guaranteed+i don't have bailu

@@softerhaze IL, luocha, tingyun and pela is an insane team that will clear everything in the game. Gepard and Kafka works fine for the other team. I don't know enough about Jingliu but it depends if you need help clearing content now. Also, whichever character you like better makes more sense to pull for in the end.
@@softerhaze IL is a very powerful and flexible unit, and one that's not likely to get powercrept for a while. Jingliu is somewhat similar in that they both have a cost to their damage. Hers is much easier to meet than IL, as she just requires a bit extra teamwide healing to offset it. In that regard, Luocha is a fantastic support for both, being SP positive and having teamwide chip healing in his talent. In general, IL will be doing more damage, but Jingliu will be a lot easier to build a team around. They're similar enough that you can pull for whichever character you prefer designwise.
I believe Fu Xuan is gonna be also useful in future content/enemies. She's also seem good to pair with squishy hunt characters
People really sleeping on her ability to make it so you can build your other supports and DPS with very minimal defensive stats. That’s a HUEG buff to your overall team damage, even if it doesn’t show up on her stat sheet.
yes, but she easily died in an area boss burst isn't she if she taking abt60% of all team damage. but saves the team for another burst. gepard seems better choice if got one, or clara combined with marc. but if you don't have tanker yet i think it's a good choice also. utility is always have it's advantage.

Fu xuan seems like another Luocha in the sense that once you get her your account is kinda set for life. I have Luocha myself but I’m still gonna get FX for extra security (also second memory of chaos team)
You cannot have two Luochas, but having Fu Xuan means you have equivalent comfort on both your teams in MoC. Personally, I feel that the ability to have 3 offensive team slots to work with, on any team, against any enemy, is the highest level of value you can ask from a defensive unit. Luocha and Fu Xuan both offer that comfy level of slot consolidation that allows you to have more fun with teambuilding.

I think my main hang up with dan heng is that while his multipliers seem high, he consolidates all of his damage into his skill and ult, so while he may hit hard, his entire damage is that one big number. He doesn't have a resurgence mechanic like Seele, or a follow-up attack like Blade, or a dot mechanic like Kafka. He also potentially consumes a ton of skill points, which may limit potential support options.
This also means he can have even potential with the addition of SP generating supports soon. It's not good to limit your sight to just what we have now.

@@IyoverseI think keeping max skill per turn isn’t gonna be impossible, considering his ultimate which regen 2 sp, you can pair him up with supports like tingyun which regens his energy and is positive sp, he regens a lot on 3 stack skill too , there’s also future support that synergizes with him really well

I agree with your point on Fu Xuan, since on my early days I'd prioritized sustain > DPS (the reason I skipped Seele + JY and went for SW + Luocha instead). But I already have a comp build suited for Qingque SP spam, it's so easy to just use that very team for Dan Heng IL. Also, my f2p account is very lacking in DPS variability (no *5 DPS at all!!) and blessed with the sustain units (I only got E1 Bailu from 150 pulls on standard and needed to go for the guaranteed Luocha because I lost 50/50 to Gepard on his banner) + my current problem in MoC is I need to clear them fast enough, not about surviving.
In the end, just pull for whatever you want or need! Husbu/waifu/adopt child > meta for ever ❤

People say Tingyun is the ideal one for that last spot but I haven't built my Tingyun yet, still plain basic lv 1, planning on building her after I made my DHIL somewhat decent.
I'm getting Fu Xuan, and she has the potential to auto clear MoC 10, with mono quantum or pseudo mono quantum (3 qua + 1 flex that matches enemy weakness).
I already have a team in mind for me to accomplish this, and I cannot wait to try it out.

This is the same place I'm in. My kafka team has bailu and clears everything easily regardless if they're weak or not but my seele and silver wolf team really depends on that silver wolf rng sometimes so getting the ability to use a 4th flex that will always match will be amazing.
ME too, I have both SW and seele, and their LC. with FX I can run A team with last Slot very flex with the enemy weakness. that may buffer, debuffer. event other dps like QQ or welt

I have Gepard but I'm definitely pulling for Fu Xuan. Then I'm going to build a meme team of all the preservation characters but with the best DPS relics I can find for them and see how long it takes to clear an MoC 10 fight with them (because even with DPS relics, with all 4 of them throwing shields and DR, nobody is dying). Crit March 7th with This is Me! lightcone to get that DEF factored into her counter attacks (which always go off because of Gepard and TB's shield) is gonna be meta (lol).

I say as someone who barely uses it.
A team of Dan Heng IL, Pela/SW, Luocha, and Fuxuan would be insane. With that team you will basically never be debuffed, you'll get CR and hp from Fuxuan, you'll get 30% CD from all the supports running the new set, you'd take like no damage because it would be mitigated and healed, debuffing from the Nahility character, and you'd constantly be generating the 3 skill points he needs to get max skill.
I would rather use Tingyun there instead of Fu xuan. Luocha is so broken that he can solo sustain any team.
may it not be the strongest team for IL but that team just can't die :)). if you want to active FX' E then your fx only can provide 1/3 skill point per her turn. it is not the problem if fx luocha and your pela are faster IL.

I think nobody is a must as a F2P player, having said that I'd recommend Fu Xuan over IL to newer players as she'll be here in the long run & having a solo sustainer in your account of her calibre makes it much more stronger going forward. DPS, no matter how strong, come and go.
That's what I'm thinking. Having Luocha on one side of MoC makes me see how far Natasha falls behind on the other side. I NEED to pair her with a shielder, which reduces the damage output of that team greatly.
Makes me think Fu Xuan is a better option, as she will cover the second side 🤔 If she can help mitigate enemy CC, she will help Jing Yuan immensely! Since I already have him and already invested into him, if she is a boost for him, it makes her more of a must pull for my particular roster. I need to see whether she ends up doing that though.
When it comes to coverage, the new ice lady, whose name I forget, would help my team greatly. Much as Pela and March offer a team, damage output is not it 😆

@Iyoverse so I've heard, but Seele/Blade havers shouldn't be discouraged about this even if he does end up outdamaging them by a lot. They're still valuable assets to have on your account regardless if their 2nd or 3rd best at dishing out dmg.

I don't know why people are so worried about him using too much skillpoints like every dps uses them..seele is also very skill point hungry..sometimes u have to basic attack on seele because of her resurgence mechanic..it's not the end of the world..pela,tingyun and a sustain ideally loucha is more than enough for Dan heng IL.the herta shop light one is pretty good on him so he is very f2p friendly
Resurgence only happens when you kill an enemy, which won't happen a lot at elite/boss stages. Most of the time you're just focusing on the elite/boss itself and uses 1 sp per turn. Even if you kill a mob every turn Seele only uses 2 sp per turn (you won't ult on a mob). Farming mob waves isn't important since it's easy and everyone even herta works there.
It's nothing compared to Daniel who needs to use 3 sp per turn for max damage (you can ult every 4 turn to save 2 sp) . Assuming everyone's same speed, other units only have 2 sp every 4 turn to use.
Pela, tingyun and luocha is obviously enough because they're the most sp positive units in the entire game. That doesn't mean other units like Bronya and Asta will work with him.

@@animestarrail I'll talk about single target only since he obviously does aoe better than a hunt character. His triple normal attack is around double (2.27x) seele's skill. His ult is way weaker than seele tho and it takes 1 more turn to recharge.
That's only the multipliers since they both have some extra damage stuffs I'm too lazy to calculate. Ignoring all those stuffs, 3sp Daniel should be around 50% stronger than seele without resurgence and 2sp is basically equal. Note that seele here is only 1sp per turn. Daniel is no doubt the most powerful but it comes at the cost of using a lot more sp than any main dps.

About mister Dan Heng, I agree with the point of him losing flexibility because of the skill point hunger, but there are supports like Hanabi, Huohuo or Ruan Mei in their way, Dan Heng may be hard to use at maximum efficiency now, but very soon he will have supports that helps his flaws pretty much (I see Tingyun as an awesome option for him too!)
About lady Fu Xuan, yes I'm going for her because of the mono quantum, but I don't see necessity in using a healer and Fu Xuan in the same team (waiting for Hanabi!), anything will probably be dead before being able to kill any of your units with her, not sure about weekly bosses but I do think it still won't be needed. That point being said, I'm not much into using Lynx in mono quantum, but as a good healer for the acc. We had only one 4* healer for quite a long time and this was kinda painful for early/mid gamers.
Lafy Fu is an absolute titan at what she does and I easily see her as a character that you will never stop using, even if I didn't had the mono quantum I'd be tempted for her. Well, I have good reasons, I'm sure she will make the game be on easy mode.
I usually preffer using potential of something as my criteria for analysis, and both Dan and lady Fu have an amazing one!
I'd still say Fu Xuan is a more solid option. Dan Heng has a good potential but depending a lot on his team. Fu Xuan IS the potential that ANY team can depend.

As someone who lost the 50/50 on Jing Yuan, hasn't gotten a single new character from the normal banner after 200 pulls, and just wasn't interested in Blade (Simping for Kafka took priority) Dan Heng is a sorely needed second banner DPS for me. With 49 pity and a guarantee, I'll have the ability to try my luck on Fu Xuan as well, or save for the 1.4 banner characters if I feel inclined to roll on anything there.
Looking forward to trying him out in a mono-imaginary + SW team with Luocha, Yukong, SW and Imagine Dragon.
“I don’t need these characters” Dan Heng is an imaginary DPS, that has a lot of value in of itself. E0 DHIL outperforms seele and he out damages her E6 when he’s E2
Firstly he already has silver wolf which negates the argument that you "need" an imaginary dps. Secondly as he said do you really need to invest all those resources into a new dps when you already have 2-3 or more dps characters built just to get around a 5% dps increase from the other dps chars you own?

I really agree with this opinion. For F2P player this what they needed. Consider which character, type and path for next Warp. This make me rethink what I need. Either way, I also think Fu Xuan more valuable for who doesn't had Preservation character. March 7th and Fire MC is exception since we got them for free. Anyway my luck really bad. I had a lot of DPS character so what I needed right now Abundance and Preservation character. But..I don't know if I can get Lynx. XD I really had bad time when pulling new 4 star character so yeah I not hoping too much.

Honestly it comes down to each account, if you pulled for a really good dps but skipped Luocha or got unlucky with him or in my case started playing after he was gone Fu xuan's banner is a savior, and in the rare chance that you pulled for Luocha but never pulled for a good dps IL might be your best bet *obviously never pull before the testing comes out from others to not have another Jing Yuan incident*
In gachas there will never be a must pull dps if the game have power creep the next dps will be better if mihoyo keeps the balancing as in genshin dps s have around the same value so its preferences so that's why I say a dps is never a must pull

I think you're right on. Danny IL will be the 3rd DPS in a row, and 1.4 has 2 more DPS coming up. Considering I really want Numby for fun, I can't justify pulling anyone but Fu Xuan in the meantime.
I'd like to get Imagine Dragon but I lost my 50/50 trying to get E1 Kafka, I started to build a Pity before I came to my senses and stopped so I'm like 50 or so pity in and really want Fu Xuan so I can't justify trying to pull for him putting it at risk that I'll have to spend a ton of money if I lose the 50/50 again plus there's all of the mats that go into actually leveling him up

I only have yanqing as a 5 star DPS and only natasha and Fire MC as sustain units. thus making all the points you've made about pulling for both valid for me. I really don't know who should I try to pull (I have 170 tickets waiting)
Oof. You're in a tough predicament for sure, but I'd advise shooting for whoever you see yourself having the most fun with. I like DMG over defense all the time, so 9/10 I pick DPS personally. The general rule of thumb is to go for sustainability though because then you can survive a lot easier. With 170+ tickets before v1.3, you might actually get away with getting both.
If I were you, I'd shoot for Imagine Dragon unless you really wanted a character like Topaz or Jing Liu coming in v1.4. If not, I'd get Imagine Dragon and buy Fall of Aeon from Herta's shop. Max it out at S5 for free, then save everything else so you can try to snipe Fu Xuan on a 50/50, then stop spending and go back to saving.
You got the engagement~ just been playing Hsr for pne month or less... And ive een eyeing to pull my Gepard at the 300th cause i didnt play the game from the beginning to git gud. Im curious about other peoples op on Fu Xuan, and so far all i understood is she is Tank Buffer. But any other possible skill perks, or talent quirks, i couldnt imagine in a team i currently have.

Dragons are tough! Was a huge fan of them when I was younger (still am, but I'm a big kid now lol). Having both Gepard and Luocha definitely makes the pull for Fu Xuan much harder. I'd go for Imagine Dragon as well.

As much as I’d like to pull Imbibitor Lunae so I can fully utilize my E6 Yukong, I already have so many DPS characters; pulled both Seele and Jing Yuan and ended up getting every standard banner DPS character as well. On top of that, I *need* Fu Xuan so I can complete my quantum team and I only have so many pulls, so they’re all gonna have to go to her.

Mono quantum team is too versatile to skip, just imagine the already crack seele now have a team that can apply quantum weakness at 100% chance.
There's no enemy with a single weakness, so I don't see any urgency to build a mono quantum team. We can pretty much use Blade or Kafka or IL with the same result as Seele (mono Quantum DPS).
In fact, relying too much on Seele to one shotting enemy + plus single target debuff SW; sometimes can be Skill Point greedy.
It feels more safe and flexible using less SP unit, like Blade, Kafka, and Luocha. For me tho, but yeah people who have good Seele Main will be happy with this release.

@@wqi09 SW is not SP-hungry at all. When you can guarantee that her Skill always gives the right weakness (which means always on a monoquantum or quantum + 1 overlapping type team) then you're looking at 1 SP spent per every 3 *enemy* turns. Which is a very important distinction to make, because enemies are almost always slower than (well built) player characters. Realistically, a fast enough SW can squeeze in 3 or 4 basic attacks in the time it takes the average boss to exhaust her debuffs.
And, let's also be real, it's very rare that any single enemy will survive long enough to shed SW's debuffs against a team tailor-made for supporting Seele.
Source: I've been running Seele + SW + Bronya + flex on every MoC cycle since 1.1, and I've never felt short on SP. SP economy is ultimately a game of optimising your rotation based on your characters', and enemies', relative SPDs.
As someone who has Blade, Clara, & Kafka as my 5 star dps I’m definitely not pulling for IL 😭 I have Gepard & fire trailblazer as my preservation units but neither of them can do what Fu Xuan does so the choice between the two is easy for me

I have E2 Yukong so I'm gonna try to get 4 yukongs, hopefully get E6 and run him on my second team. I only have Jing Yuan as a 5-star DPS and I need another one, but I can't take Tingyun away from him.
I gotta get 'em washed after EVO. lol Vegas is a different type of Texas heat. I'm aiming for E6 Yukong as well because if I do pull Imagine Dragon, but he's definitely worth it. Do you already have your Yukong built into?
@@Iyoverse My Yukong's not particularly well-built, I'd say somewhat invested, lvl. 70 but stats aren't particularly great, will need to finagle a semi-decent set on her and get some traces up. I definitely started prefarming for DHIL a little late because I overestimated how fast it would be to get everything.
My harmony lightcones are a little bungled, I'm forced to switch Meshing Cogs between Bronya and Asta but good news is I'll easily be able to get Bronya's LC from the shop after I pull, which I can put on Bronya which lets me shift around my LCs allowing me to use Planetary for Yukong. It'll work itself out and I got some fuel to burn as well.

I was able to get Kafka on guarantee, but I lost the 50/50 for Silverwolf so I’ve been struggling to decide who to pull next. I’ve got Seele running one team and Bailu/Kafka on the other. It’s been working alright, I just need to spend some time upgrading my supports.
Ooooh.... Hm... I'd definitely drop some Jades for Fu Xuan based on what you told me. Her + Seele and even Lynx would set you up real nice on your account. Imagine Dragon would be insanely strong, but you'd need to have some specific supports for him to really rock his socks off.

Uhmm... just to point out smth, while fuxuan giving crit rate is nice, but planar set effect like salsotto or rutilant need a fix amount of crit rate on the character detail screen (or before the fight) to work. So i don't think you could immediately switch from crit rate body to crit dmg without considering that, just because you have fu xuan.
I feel like we should slow down judgment on these units until after their patches since MoC will most likely be tailored to them to make them look better (much like how we had with kafka iirc). I feel like both of them are skippable and same with every other unit EXCEPT SW with her kit. I personally have not pulled since 1.0 where i got seele, and i have not had a single engagement where i was stuck. Im currently at 256 pulls saved for Jing Liu in 1.4
Going for E0 DHIL and then Fu/Lynx combo. Skipping on the LC's to get the units and then we'll reevaluate. Fu Xuan is a must tho for sure.

I’m team both, I already built SW and Seele and have all items to max IL. 1.3 imma farm resources for lynx and Fu Xuan. Can’t wait for mono quantum and imaginary. But for sp value for IL, I’d rather use pela and ting but i don’t mind regardless.
I really like Fu Xuan but I spent all of my savings on Kafka to get her to E3 and LC. I love her animations too but depending on how much I have by then I might skip her banner. I might drop a few pulls on the banner and see if I get lucky but I mainly wanna save for the upcoming planets and may just wait for a rerun

I feel like people underestimate dps in star rail. Dps doesn’t get power crept that hard compared to support, support gets way more power crept in star rail just based on situations. For example, the new insect boss is gonna have a lot of mobs spawning from it, making SW less viable, it just depends on situation, which is why there are still lots of people saying you should have multiple dps
As far as I know, there is no support character that got powercrept until now. Bronya's unique advance forward, tingyun's energy regen, asta's speed buff, yukong's massive crit buff, etc. As for the DPS, it's not like they get powercrept, but there are just so many dps characters that you can choose from. Any character that can deal big pp dmg can always work. On the other hand, all supports have unique skills that can't be easily replaced.
Sure silverwolf is less viable compared to other supports when it comes to AoE. But that's because she was always meant to be used against single bosses, and she's very good at that. Besides, that insect boss is already weak to wind, quantum, and imaginary. We have three strongest dps for those element so we don't really need her in the first place, cuz her only purpose is enabling the dps.

Fu Xuan looks like she's going to be amazing, which is great because I've been wanting her since we first saw her in the game. Her ult is so satisfying too, I can't wait to pair her up with Seele and Silver Wolf.
Got only Blade and Welt as my 5 stars, I'm planning to pull for guaranteed Imbibitor Lunae then go for Fu Xuan (mostly for Lynx), cuz I only need a second healer, Blade himself is pretty dang broken alr
I'm honestly thinking fuxuan doesnt need speed boots and you just go full hp or at the very least have an er rope for your ult so you can easily regen those stacks for your self heal. one way to guarantee your skill at the start of battle is that planar orb set where it gives you 5% er and at 120 speed your character is advanced by 40% at the start of battle. Since unless i'm reading it wrong her field lasts for 3 of her turns and not 3 of each allies turns so if she's slow af her field uptime would be much longer compared to her having like 150+ speed which would eat up those 3 turns asap.
with fu Xuan. u say its not like a shield, but if u think about it she is the shield. the damage gets directed to her and when she dies it goes away.
But at the same time, it's not a shield. You cannot use unit like Yanqing with her because even though the damage mitigation is insane, Yanqing still receive damage from the enemy, which is not what he wants.

her passive regenarates 95% of her lost hp so you shouldn’t be ne worrying about losing her skill as she is practically inmortal

I stopped playing after getting silverwolf, so she’s my only limited 5 star, along with Clara and Bronya. I want a dps (jing Liu is possible) but need a second sustain like fu xuan. Hard choice!
Go for fu xuan. There Is Linx for Clara Hypercarry team and Fu Xuan that Is universally good with silver Wolf in any team...you can do very Easy 2-2 or 3-1 of 2 elements and if your quinque Is at least E4 build her
I will pull each dps unit per element that I don't have then go for support units later If I can. I did the same thing in Genshin Impact and Houkai 3rd tho I can clear any difficult content later.
My limited characters in my account until now are Seele, Jingyuan, Blade, and IL work just fine. So yes, I NEED these characters

DHIL is going to be the first banner I skip entirely. Kinda like you said, I really can't afford to add another 5* damage dealer to build right now. Fu Xuan though... I don't have Gepard, and I've identified several instances where I really could have benefitted from a cracked Preservation character.

Probably gonna go for Fu Xuan, while I am newer and only have Kafka as a leveled dps with Sampo supp I am not truly concerned about MoC atm and having Fu Xuan now seems like a great pickup.
From what we've officially seen and heard, Dan Heng IL hard power creeps Seele, even when Seele is C6 our dear friend DHIL will still most likely be superior at F2P levels and low spender levels given how impressive his damage is, how easily it's buffed up by Harmony, and it's AoE.
As for Lady Fu, she has a PhD in our teams not dying from what we've officially seen. Even Luocha can't stop us from getting RNG two tapped from full HP to death every time, so she has immense value in this case; certainly more so than DHIL if we're struggling to stay alive.
Both have incredible pull value for an F2P account. Whether you missed Seele, or just want more Imaginary Break coverage, DHIL is likely to be a top tier meta defining DPS unit for a good long while. And Fu Xuan is going to be irreplaceable for a long time as well since she just stacks HP and makes our teams undying from the looks of things. 😺
It does indeed ultimately come down to what your account needs more of, survivability or damage. Both are lifelong account additions I'd say, neither being considered as an "F2P trap" per se. 😃 Personally I'll be aiming for both (and more Yukong eidolons for her strong E6) with preference given to Fu Xuan since even with Gepard I'm still struggling a little bit.

Daniel's dps comes from his triple skill which uses 3 sp, so it makes sense he power creeps seele who mostly uses 1 sp per turn. He may be harder to use for f2p players without a very sp positive team (e.g. tingyun, pela, luocha). I'd say he still ranks at the top but isn't as universal as seele who can basically fit in any team and has no major downsides.
That's why I skipped all of 1.2 when both dan and fu kits were leaked. The value for me of 1.3 units is so much higher than 1.2 untis.
really depends on his kit tbh, he's very skill point hungry even more so then seele, so if he has a way to consistently proc 3 skill point every turn without compromising the rest then he has that potential, the rest really depends on his traces which we have no full info on yet, if his traces all boast his dmg output and skill point efficiency then maybe, his basically a more powerful QQ but imaginary, my issue with him is he relies too much on 3 skill points to do top dmg, compared to seele who if crits does ton of dmg as her skill and ultimate has a high multiplier to begin with, and her resurgence is much easier to keep uptime, so i disagree on that point of seele being power creep for now, but time will tell, also based on gear itself quantum still has the best gear set bonus for dmg compared to the rest for now, anyhow the one who is getting powercreep the most as of right now if im being honest is jingyuan

If you have e6 limited charasters, as long as they can replace 4*, you dont need any 4*), but difference is - she cant bring everything without being SP neutral instead of SP positive like Luocha do.
But e0 Luocha + Blade/Clara combo would be worse than any eidalon Lynx+Blade/Clara, for sure. And this is alone - insane.
Also her eidalons as they are on honey right now, completly cracked. I say this word again - Insane value, i will put all my tickets into that banner(~250) untill i got Lynx e6 or Fu Xuan e1. I know it might not happen, and i will be completly broke, without Lynx and with just single copy of Fu Xuan, but atleast I will know i did everything I can xD

Warms my heart to see Wolfey making a cameo appearance on a HSR video lol. Much as Fu Xuan's utility would be nice, I think I still have to go for dragon Dan Heng. Gepard, Luocha, March 7th, and Bailu can keep defense covered for now, even if I spend most of MoC 10 yelling at Bailu how much she sucks (I call massive BS that her passive doesn't go off if she gets hit with cc). As someone who missed Seele, I still need a character to scratch that big damage numbers itch.

If you're new you shouldn't be pulling Inbibitor Lunae AT ALL. He's a Hypercarry character which means he'll need a specific team to enable him and building him up properly will cost you a lot of resources. Fu Xuan is the better choice if you need a sustain unit. If you need a DPS, JingLiu or Topaz will be a better bet in 1.4. But if you want Husbando Dan heng, by all means pull away. His Chinese motif is a certified banger.

Fu Xuan is absolutely the more valuable unit, but you're making an odd assumption that everyone got Blade. Not everyone did. A lot of people were waiting for Kafka and had to skip Blade to get her so having another Destruction path character coming in after her is pretty useful.
In the grand scheme of things though, Fu Xuan will definitely be the better investment, especially since Lynx is also on her banner so if there's even a small doubt whether one or the other is what you need, you more likely than not need Fu Xuan. DHIL is only for people who absolutely know they need him, for whatever reason.
my fear from fuxuan is that she would need a healer on the side , since she doesnt heal her teammates while they take a % of dmg . she either will only work with someone like blade that heals himself, or depand on a healer , which makes having her pointless imo (a 5 star support that demands more supports)
She heals as well
her ult both heals herself and a small amount to their allies.

I only have jing and yanqing as 5 star dps qwq I skipped this current patch to get Dan heng and I’m hyped abt him!!
all i have to say about IL, which is only made clearer by the previous banners and the future upcoming units, is this: DPS units are dime a dozen and all can brute force all content in the game. A GOOD and SOLID support/sustain is eternal.

I am starting to feel slightly hesitant because going into these banners I already knew there was no way I am gonna use IL in battle. I don't like Imaginary weakness break, I never have. I sort of feel like I want him just so I can marvel at his design any time I like. Is it worth pulling as a FtP player with a reason like this? Technically speaking neither IL or Fu Xuan fit my playstyle but I dunno...
Having him finally come out yea he is a must for ftp. At E0 he is still too dps in all forms or dps.
I expect IL to be mid, because if he's not and he can rival Seele right now, then he will just break the game when Hanabi releases. I assume his SP hunger is meant to prevent you from fully charging every attack and there is no way you could sustain it with Bronya (doing it twice per turn + her 1SP). But supposedly Hanabi can also make your DPS character play twice, except she can also provide the SP you need for it, with her ult. The more SP hungry the character is and the more it's balanced around it - held back by the lack of SP, the more broken it gets with Hanabi on board.

I feel like a lot of players around me are overhyping Dan Heng and undervaluing Fu Xuan, and I think they're wrong. I agree that FX has higher value for players with Silver Wolf or Seele, and less value for players with Luocha. I'm personally going to pull for her, even though I have some FOMO for skipping Dan Heng.
