I got the Heads book after I saw your video on studying Bridgman. It's been helpful and it's reasonably priced for the amount of content in it. I did some eye sketches based on that, Victor Perard's skulls and Sinix Design's tips on YT. Worked well for me, so thanks for sharing this cool stuff! I'm looking forward to getting more art books eventually.
I currently have an anatomy book from Hogarth. I never used Bridgeman or Loomis despite hearing good things about them. I was wondering what you think one would be able to learn from Hogarth in comparison to Bridgeman. Thanks for the videos! I've just subscribed. Have a great day.
Jim Lee brought me here, he was talking to Stan Lee in an old video and he mentioned he used George bridgeman to help when he was starting out. I was hoping bridgemans work would look like Jim Lee’s, but not so much. Thanks for the video
Yeah, Jim Lee meant that Bridgman's construction and fundamentals taught him to draw. Construction and fundamentals are far more important than style. Very often, when artists are starting out, they mistake style for substance. Style is the "clothing" which you put on the fundamentals. Then they look at Bridgman and say, "I don't want to draw like that," which misses the point. That's like a person saying they don't want to learn to spell and write sentences because someone read them a story they didn't like or a boring essay.

They look very interesting, thanks for the suggestion.

Best thing about Hogarth is the way he breaks down the ribcage and hips. It's very hand and very solid stuff.
Wiii new video 😄🤩

What book do you recommend for learning construction and fundamentals?
