@@TheFlamingPiano Okay. I'll stay subscribed to your channel so that I don't miss that video when you eventually post it. Can't wait to see the remake when you make the 2nd movement in the same video!
Beethoven's "Appassionata" Sonata no. 23 (3rd movement), is very difficult, so I'm very impressed and happy that you made this video. So thank you very much! Merry Christmas
Nice work tackling this monumental piece. You make it look easy. Would love to see the other mvts too if you get a chance. Also nice energy in the coda.
This Sonata is loaded with emotions, like Tragedy, Rage, Fate and a touch of Sorrow... I love this sonata, it is my favourite piece of all... Especially because of the emotions and expression that Beethoven put in this legendary work! Awesome work!!
Oh my goodness! I was mesmerized watching your fingers fly all over those piano keys! If there were such a thing as musical olympics, you’d be a contender, for sure. Beethoven is my favorite composer because he was so passionate and emotional, and you can “feel” his emotions so clearly in his works. In this one, I “feel” anger, frustration, but also fiery determination. Excellent performance, as always. 👏👏👏 What a nice Christmas treat! Thank you, and Merry Christmas! (Or, whatever you celebrate, or just “Happy Day”, if you don’t celebrate.)
This is one of the hardest, I agree...but Hammerklavier is the most difficult sonata. And you should check out the Waldstein sonata, it is also very hard.
Great performance! You're much better than me at the part at 1:59, and when the whole second part is repeated as well! I have to give you credit for that!
WOW! Jason, you are certainly right on point with this masterful and sparkling performance! This requires a lot from the pianist and very difficult!!! Your dexterity and timing are incredible....you nailed it! Love your crossover work, too! You really do make it look easy when we all know it is far from it!!! BRAVO!!! ~Jackie
@@TheFlamingPiano You're welcome Jason. From the look of things, I couldn't even tell that you made so many Midi edits. Very nice work no matter what! Loved it! Take good care now :-)
Flaming Please start a spotify. Your playing of the Pathetique and this one are really nice and I want them on my playlist so please consider making a spotify
I managed to simplify a couple of areas in this piece, but I had the wrong note at both 1:58 and 4:47. I accidentally played G as G# in those areas, and it's still in my current performance. I haven't figured out a technique that I could use to correct that mistake yet.
Some people in the live chat were saying this speed was a little too slow but I think you played it just fine!!! And if you remember my previous comments, you know I'd tell you it's a little too slow lol This piece is starting to grow on me for sure
Oh God... I finally founded my favorite pianist. I'm really strict about this sonata (idk why, maybe it's because it's my favorite lol) and I think that you played very good and smooth. I'm a pianist too and, you know, I can understand how hard this mob can be. Oh and I apologize for my English, I'm from Italy... Thehe😅
Thank you very much!!! And sorry to disappoint but I actually made so many mistakes here that I just edited out, and a wrong note I played near the end. Still glad you liked the music
Sorry for the wrong notes at 7:55 onwards. The Bb in the right hand should be Ab
Dont worry, I didn't even notice
It's okay. Do you think you'll correct that mistake when you make your video performance on both the 2nd and 3rd movements?
@@samseddmedia Yes, I'll redo it if ever, but not anytime soon

It's okay, it's just a mistake, you played the sonata very well.
Wonderfully expressed... Beethoven's passion can be felt in this rendition.
Thank you for the kind words!

The coda is incredible
I can't think of an another piano piece that expresses rage so well
In my opinion, Chopin 2nd ballade expresses devilish pretty well (Not rage but I think it's close enough).
And its coda is rock too.
Thanks a lot! I totally agree, and that's why I really enjoy playing the coda
@@segmentsAndCurves true, I thought of that too lol
So does the beginning of the first movement of Beethoven's 32nd sonata. I also love rage pieces like 2nd Ballade by Chopin...
I think so too TBH
7:20 this starts possibly my favorite part of the song. the power it explains with the bass is insane
phenomenal interpretation!!

How effortlessly you are playing , so calm . Keys love how your fingers float on them
