Erik Satie has this strange gift, he puts a certain feeling in all his piece, but yet it is quite difficult to describe which kind of feeling you are experiencing from listening. Here it seems quite joyful, amusing but there is however a strange vibe I can' describe.
Excellent performance and excellent choice of the tone of the piano for this piece!

There's always more than a bit of melancholy to Satie, even in a playful piece like this. I know what you mean when you say's difficult to describe. Sad and sweet, in a piercing way, but it makes you smile too.

it gives me romantic vibes. Like the feeling of how an old couple would feel remembering their nostalgic memories with all of its ups and downs, how they met for the first time, how they developed feelings, how they manage to get married and build a family of their own. Have you considered playing any of Satie’s ogives? Really interesting pieces inspired by Gregorian chants, and his ogives inspired Debussy’s sunken cathedral.

The notification was on point, important fact:)).I only know 2 3 songs from satie, slow one s if I remember correctly and this one is super nice, feels like a Christmas carol for me.
