yes. This install didn't have any yet but it is the same application. It requires some knife skills to cut neat to the base. you can also you a wall cutter but there also you will need to adjust to the thickens of the carpet.
Moving into a brand new place where they laid the other kind of hard flooring and I'm really needing one in carpet in the place hoping management will allow it and I thought this could be allowed so yeah it already has baseboard and already has the fake wood type what's it called laminate. Anyways I thought this would work and maybe you don't even have to use that much tape it'd be a very smaller bedroom and very small living area?
Not a big fan of the seams. Some disappear, some show a little. Surprised they dont want the seams sealed. Time will tell. Was surprised how well it goes on steps. Staples actually hold. Good video Thanks.
Horrible seam placement away from the far wall and into the middle of the room. Improper straight edge for the job (needs slip proof) and uses an xacto knife for the job not a contoured carpet knife. These aren’t carpet installers.
Thanks for the video...probably the easiest to follow. I am doing a very similar install this coming weekend. You have been super helpful.
Amazing video, I loved everything about it.
Very easy to follow!
Thanks. Always appreciate feedback
Great job and a great video
Really well done video. Is trimming to baseboards done the same way? Face cutting?

Oh...have any of your customers commented on how airo is wearing in basement installations?
i have it and its two years old and still holding up pretty good. starting to show a bit of wear on the steps
@@mrfantum1 Thanks!
DIY-able for someone with no carpet experience? Much smaller rooms.
You're holding the straight edge on the wrong side of the cut.
i use the edge of the backing to cut a straight line . not wrong just a different way of cutting it
According to Mohawk's own installation instructions this product should be straight edged from the back. RTFM.
Why aren’t you wearing shoes?
Is there something wrong with not wearing shoes.
@@mrfantum1 Carpet parasites 😱😱🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's an olfa knife. Seams are often dictated by size and shape of room.
Dumbest carpet ever
Why do you say that?
What carpet is smart?
Will it be a smash hit like smart strand? LOL
It's really popular around here. I think other brands will make a comparable product soon as their patent expires
