Love those old trucks. Don’t care if they are Chevy, Dodge, or Ford. They were all great back then.
The mirrors look good. I’d imagine you could use the boost led reverse light upgrade like truck master put in his.
Thanks to you and truck master the mirrors are just another upgrade I’ve added to my long list to do to my 09 lmm 3500. Truck builds are never complete just wish I had the money to keep up with the plans but I’ll keep plugging away at it.

Why didn’t you put a dual power to hook up backup power and door/dome light functions?

You can plug them into both the reverse and the door if you use diodes to limit the flow of electricity to one direction.
I did this exact thing when I installed them today .
I got mine in a week ago from top auto sports paid a little over 3 for the new style mirrors, smoked and black plastic, heated, and turn signals for my lbz . Haven't installed yet , don't know how to do the running lights or reverse light, so watching to find out
Great vid. I hope you have better luck then me. The first car wash with mine the motor failed in one and then two weeks later the turn signal in the other side stopped working. I wish I went with boost.
So far so good after a few days including a car was and rain. Only thing so far i have complaint wise is that the passenger side mirror is almost turned all the way in to see things correctly.
Rustbelt Mechanic hmmm that’s strange. I know my passenger side mirror was hard to angle correctly until I leveled them. I also just checked mine as well and it’s almost all the way in as well as yours. I think it will be a little better once you level them as well.

My reverse come on when I put the ground to ground not when I’m in reverse what’s wrong
No need for resistor, go to autozone and pick up a flasher relay that can handle leds they are like 12 bucks and you can have as many leds as you want
True! I thought of that, but as I’ll show in my next video or so, resistors are way cheap and easy anymore. The set I’ve got coming was like $9
@@RustbeltMechanic yea just figured less wiring, only issue i have is my driver side marker light hyperflashes and the light on the dash stays lit up

Do you have any insight on making 4th gen ram tow mirrors work on an 04? Been trying to figure out how to get the puddle light to stay on.
I have not had any experience with those as of yet. But if you’d like to brainstorm a solution for some wiring/lighting HMU on Instagram and I’m sure I could figure something out!
Do the parking lights on the side markers flash when you unlock your truck? Mine used to and now they don’t.

There’s no wiring diagram... the extra wires for the backup LEDs are red and black, you used red for power what’s the black for?

I have the same ones and do they angle up a little ?
My mirrors came with 3 wires and no schematics have no clue where to run the two wires got my ground done but super confused on the other 2, you just have a power and ground…
does the DRL lights work on the mirrors?
Reshad Amiry No. I bought these mirrors and they only have signal and reverse light. Tried wiring it a very shitty way into just being a running light and the LEDs started to go out the very same night.
If you want high quality ones go to boostautoparts.com. I bought my new ones from there and they’re amazing. They’re a lot sturdier than these ones, they lock stronger when you fold them, and they function as running lights as well.

They are still working pretty decent. Only thing is I still don’t like the fact they can’t adjust the mirrors in any further.

Andre G the actual glass itself doesn’t quite adjust far enough in towards the vehicle.

How’s the quality of the mirrors? Are the mirrors actual mirrors or stickers? (Hope that made sense) and do they shake when u r driving?
Yes they are actual mirrors. The top mirrors do have a slight shake down the interstate but aren’t too bad. My biggest complaint is that they aren’t in a great detent spot. It’s like I can’t adjust them in quite far enough. If they could be tilted in 1” farther they’d be great.
