I just want to admire, how Kettner Creative, does not just provide tutorials. But do a research about what tutorials people need! Previously I had Behringer Xenyx Q802USB and XENYX 1002SFX(previous version). The manual documents didn't work me. Every time I had to look for tutorials, how to setup the mixer. Probably the C-3 microphone is easy to use and in this sense the guidance are fair
Thanks for the kind comments. I try to target products with lots of users and poor documentation. Needless to say, lots of Behringer videos coming out this week aha!
@@kettnercreative Looking at what brand people are using as audio device for RUclips long format/live stream/podcast production, is a good reference of what people are looking for in a terms of tutorials
Thank you for the vid! I had an issue with a mixer I borrowed - Behringer Xenyx QX2442 USB. I was getting good levels on the mixer but on my PC I had a very low reading - at about -40db. It turned out that the main fader was damaged. After about 2 hours of trying too find a solution I bumped my hand on the main fader. It moved slightly down but the audio on my PC was normal. I figured that if I put it in the right spot the audio on my PC is OK. Hope no one else has this problem :)
well technically you can hook up a aux to your pc with a R&L splitter into the mixer to have the sound from you pc and your voice to recorded at the same time. I believe that would be an option, let me know.
Great video! I’m having the trouble of having 2 mics recording to the same track. I would like them to be separate tracks, but they all just come out of track 1 even though I’m using channels 1 and 3 on my mixer.
I believe this is because the mixer sums all channels to one USB output, and doesn't have separate audio streams. It's not really a proper audio interface, unfortunately--just a quick and dirty way to get a mix or a single input into your computer.
Hi and thanks for the video, easy to understand even for someone that isn't very technical. My question is, i use this to record a podcast, have done over a hundred but currently I'm having an issue where either the caller can hear me but i can't hear them or vice versa. Never had this issue before, any ideas?
Hi! Great video! Do you think it could be possible to recordo multitrack from this mixer like you explained you did with the Mackie ProFX10v3 USB? Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I have a 1204USB (Non X version) so some of the controls are different. I want to use the mixer to feed sound from a fully hybrid Zoom meeting into an ATEM Extreme ISO as well as PA Speakers for the in person audience so several people have tole me I need to do Mix-Minus, but they can't tell me how. I am having much trouble doing this, and this video is the first to even come close. This is my first mixer and experience with A/V, so my formal training consists of way too much RUclips. The dials and push buttons to the left of the main meter lights is not the same as on the X1204USB, so I am not sure how to proceed. Do I need to use the USB connection on the mixer at all? Thanks for any suggestions.
sir can you make a video where we can make video with audio. or live singing with video recording. as you recorded this video, some thing like this. and Thank you very much for your support.❤❤
I cant record without other tracks bleeding through. I have a mono drumtrack in cubase but when I try to record a guitar track the drums from the other track bleed through unless I mute the track with drums on it but then I cant record guitar over the drums, I think this mixer will be going in the bin pretty soon.
@Kettner Creative, do you have any videos on using vst/external plugins with a usb mixer ( e.g profx 12v3+) on live performance? how can I use my Profx12v3+ with vst plugins for my live performances? Thank you
I cannot output music to the main output by taking music from USB and mixing it with the microphone. There is music in the headphone output but there is no music in the main output. please help
Thanks but .; I've got a problem with Cubase....for some time now, the audio input no longer works with Cubase on my MAC....yet on the other DAWs everything still works... What to do??
Have have this model and it doesn't seem to record in stereo ? Seems to only record in momo. Figured I'd use it to record my drum tracks with but I need it to be in stereo . Any suggestions ?
I have the Behringer Xenyx QX2442USB Mixer and I was under the impression that you can control the USB input audio via the 13/14 & 15/16 input faders since it has the USB INTERFACE on both channels. Can't figure out how to control it like that.
@@kettnercreative I figured out how to do it. Plug two 1/4” cables on the CTRL OUT outputs in the back and route them into the 15/16 line in so you can control the volume on those channels and even assign a sub group to it as well.
I use another trick - IF you can find a behringer UCA202 or 222, then set it up to your liking. In my case, uca222 output is fed into the aux input, and the SUB 1,2 go into the computer. That way, I can hear the computer and record AND nicely control input levels, and WHICH inputs are fed into back to the computer. Those adapters are relatively inexpensive - but now obsolete. UFO202 will work similarly but has a quirk that the output you SEND to the computer is rerouted back internally - although there is a hack (that I have not tried yet) that you can cut 2 traces on the PCB board in the UFO202 to stop that. (no such hack required on the older UCA units). - or - You can use most other 2-track usb devices, but you ignore much of their functionality and pay a lot for it. Not many "quality" 2 channel bidirectional USB that are inexpensive.

Is there a way to record this as a live multitrack session?

Great video! Can you use the mixer with an audio interface to do hybrid mixing?
You can, but there's not much benefit. You're better off just using the USB output on the back of the mixer.
can you use it to record multitrack? like, multitrack in the software
dude.... Thank you.

How can I figure out which Behringer audio interface/mixers models will be detected and function with Windows 7 64 bit?
Can you Connect the usb mixer to garage band on an iPad Pro to record from the mixer ?
Yes you can
