@@TheActright It’s an incredible machine but what I didn’t know to do was lubricate the belt. Just get silicone spray and spray underneath the belt. We didn’t even do that & the guy that came to fix the wire on the switch said it looked great. I have a new computer board & a new belt “just in case”. I will always buy a Sole. Our Eliptical is Sole as well.
I bought the new F85 and he's a few of my thoughts. As a treadmill, it's fantastic. No issues there at all. As for the fans, worthless, don't even hit you. Charging pad is neat but I don't use it since your phone case has to be so thin. The screen is a good size but the user interface is pretty weird. It's crazy hard to use when you're even walking fast. The app integration is cool until something like HBO MAX being turned into just MAX and now I can't even use the app and there is no update for it. The sound is loud but it really bothers me that there is no bass at all. Like it sounds terrible. The screen mirroring app doesn't work with my phone, a S21 ultra, like I outright can't download it. As a Treadmill I think this is a great option and if you can deal with all of the quirks it's a great buy. I just hope at some point they fix some of these issues in the next model.
great review man... you kept it very honest about the function of the treadmill vs the other features .. that's ideally the information im always looking for
wow , sounds like a junk machine.considering this is supposed to be updated for 2023 Thank you for saving me from buying this one. I can buy a shit treadmill to get steps in , if you want all the extras sounds like I need to look elsewhere. Wow now what , seems like there is no treadmill that does it all which is a bummer and with nortic track and there fees for apps its pretty frustrating.
Important question. Is the brightness of the screen dimmable? My current F80 had a screen so bright, I had to go buy window tint and put 2 layers over it just so it wouldn’t hurt my eyes.
Hi TRG...re the Sole F85 (2023 model/15 inch screen) do know the maximum tablet size height that fits into the bracket above the screen ? Just wondering if the Samsung S8 tablet in landscape view at 21cm in height would fit in that bracket to give a great visual of Zwift. Many thanks. Great channel!!
Hi, loved the review!! I've been trying to decide between this mill and the Horizon 7.8 AT. I'm an ultra runner therefore I do run a lot LOL! Plus I have 3 family members that will probably be using the treadmill as well but not nearly as much as me. The price is near the top of my budget but of course I'm looking for a mill that will endure my workouts. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Keep up the great work!
Which one did you wind up purchasing? I'm deciding between those two models, as well. The Sole is looking good because it has decline, but the Horizon would work with my Runna app, and apparently can switch between speeds faster for sprint intervals / Hiit workouts.
Thank you for the great review! Does the F85 feel better when running than the F80? I just want a good treadmill for home but without the subscriptions
Thanks for watching! They actually feel about the same to run on since the decks are pretty much the same. The cushioning is firm but it provides shock absorption for your joints. The big difference we noticed when you're using them is the screen size. The F85 is a little easier to see and use because of the larger screen.
One thing you didn't cover is the dashboard while you are running. I listen to my phone via Bluetooth, so I don't use any of the video on mills. I prefer to see the metrics on the dashboard. What does the screen show when you are running without using a video app? And does it show distance in 10ths or 100ths. I have owned several F85s and one of my few complaints is that the distance has only been shown in 10ths. I prefer to know how close I am to the next 10th when I glance at the display so having the hundredths place it helpful to me.
I watched another video review and I believe it showed it in 100th. Yes! Some treadmill show by the tenths! I can't stand that!! I am looking at this treadmill to purchase to replace my old proform 2000.
You can if you are using an iPhone, you cannot mirror your phone if you're using an android device. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we're happy to help!
Talking to CYC Fitness they are expecting new models from Sole Fitness by the New Year. Definitely seeing stock running out of current models across retailers.
Can anyone verify Sole's customer service? They seem to get flamed on the BBB website and their treadmills have no reviews on their own website. Seems strange.
I purchased the new F 85 two weeks ago. It has all the features you need except very little works properly this unit Its not ready for prime time. First of all we got shocks. Every time we touched the heart monitor, and the unit was grounded properly then I was running on the unit and an error. Message came up communication error and the machine came to a full stop Very dangerous. The screen has frozen up. The stop button does not work. When you’re exercising you have to pull out the key which resets everything customer support is the worst. I called them several times waited 30 to 45 minutes and I seem to know more about the product and they do they actually told me this product is too new and we have no information on it yet Crazy.. be very careful when you lift up the treadmill into the fold mode. There is a piece of metal that is razor sharp I sliced my finger on it. Basically there is no customer support after spending $2500 so I returned the item in the store, they came and picked it up and I purchased a matrix T 30 where I can get customer support and have a sturdy machine with everything working on it. I tried to love this treadmill, but it was impossible..
@@kathrynaraya7019 best decision I ever made love it. Everything works perfect. I would compare the sole as the motel six and the matrix as the Ritz Carlton. It’s worth money and has a much better warranty. It also has iFit. It’s a solid machine that will last for years to come.
Save your money. This is an over priced piece of junk. The treadmill shuts down for no reason, and the media function is a nightmare. The media navigation buttons cannot be hidden from the screen so you have to see them while you're trying to watch something on the screen. The poor quality speakers are your only choice for listening to videos as it does not allow you to use your headphones to listen to videos displayed on the screen. Extremely poor media functionality design. Save your money and buy a basic treadmill.
Is there some kind of workout data overlay when you’re watching youtube or netflix? Or do you have to go back and forth through the media and workout screens? Or do you have to close and load up youtube/netflix each time? And lastly, it works for the free youtube right? Or is it just youtube premium?
My Sole is from 2007. It still runs like it is brand new and we use it every day. Our eliptical is durable as well. I will always own a Sole
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us! We love how durable Sole equipment is!
What type of maintenance is required to get that long life out of it

Wow 16 years and still running. How many miles on avg do you use it per week?
I just bought mine from Dick’s Sporting Goods. I ❤️ it!!!! It isn’t loud and great to walk/run on. I don’t regret it!

Great review! Do you know if it can pair to a Bluetooth heart rate monitor?

When you mirror the peloton app, does it fill the full screen?
Hi, is it possible to mirror with Android smartphones? Thank you

Will this unit connect to my Garmin chest strap heart rate monitor?
is there iFit app ? in it ? can i install it ?
Does the incline/decline go by .5 or full 1 % increases
It's full 1% increase/decrease

No shaking of the console - are you on crack - at the 2.19 mark monitor is shaking - pass/

SOLE makes great treadmills for walking/running…..but their designs of their consoles and all their ‘tech’ features is really quite terrible.
