Thank you. As someone who prefers to run outside I couldn’t care less about screens or streaming etc.. just more stuff to break. I just want something that lets me run inside when I can’t get outside.
My NordicTrack 1750 is 2 years old and - the deck has cracked twice, the motor belt has snapped, and the front roller cracked. Each requiring warranty parts orders taking weeks and months away from my training. I've been able to use the treadmill 18 of the 24 months I have had it. Male - 185 pounds, running 5x per week at 7mph. BEWARE!
Same experience. Nordictrack sent me a new one after a year because the belt stopped when i was running at high speed (17-19 km/h) for an extensive period of Time and the problem came back with the new one 6 months later. But the service at nordictrack is really good
I’m having the same issue in deciding which one to go with because I keep reading tons of horrible reviews .. would you just go with one with the best warranty ? Or do ya have a suggestion with a decent overall ?
@@xclsvsmke7123 I ended up buying a Spirit, no issues for the first 4 months and I completed the half marathon I was training for. I spent more to get a better warranty, thicker (1 inch) deck and better quality motor. I do recommend NOT getting a treadmill that folds - that results in a less sturdy deck support at the front of your treadmill. Also, make sure to apply belt lubricant every 3-4 months to keep deck temperature down.
My NordicTrack “Commercial 1750” had 1 belt worn, 2 motors and 1 motor controller so far for the last 3 years. I’m male 85kg. Sharing this with my wife, She’s like only 62kg. We run up to 10km per day combined and about 8-10km per hour speed. So it just start slowing down and today didn’t want to run (system starts but belt doesn’t start at all) . IDK maybe time for a new one. Servicing from Australian importer of NordicTrack has been excellent. I think it’s just a sub par quality product.
What an amazing review of a great selection of treadmills!! This video helped me narrow down which one I want…thank you for taking the time to create this video!
Great video! Shopping for a home treadmill can be stressful when you don’t know much about them so this helps. I like what you said at the end about how you like the option of a subscription but don’t want to rely on it, that’s exactly what I’m looking for…can you tell me what you recommend that has the horsepower for multiple users and the option of a subscription but also offers other content options??
@@karvel13 I really like the Sole F85 and the Sole F89. They are powerful, and you can cast any content you want to the built-in screen. Another option is the Horizon 7.8 AT. It works really well with Peloton's content, but you have to watch the classes on your own tablet. Any of these options would be great for multiple users!
@@BestTreadmillReviews Thank you!! I was really leaning towards the ProForm Pro 9000 more because of the brand being reputable but I can't get past only being able to use ifit so this is very helpful especially since being new to the treadmill market I've never heard of Sole
So I ended up with the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 because Dicks Sporting Goods had it on clearance for $398, yes $398!!!! I couldn’t pass that up, it’s last years model and I don’t care! I didnt want a treadmill that was subscription dependent but for that price I will put an iPad over that screen and use my own workouts!! Thanks again for all these reviews they were super helpful and I ended up with the greatest bargain!
Commercial treadmills typically have AC motors and are designed to handle much higher levels of daily use. Some may have different electrical requirements, so you will want to check that. Commercial treadmills are a great option if it is within your budget and you are going to put a lot of miles on your treadmill daily.
Great video! Sorry for the extra long write, which this will be, but it's coming from someone who never looked into treadmills before and my take on them from what I'm seeing so far in my research. I never thought I'd be looking for a treadmill, but now I live in an area that you can't go half a mile without having to jog in place while you wait for the crosswalk light (unless I run back and forth, up and down my street,,, yawn). I am very surprised though at how non tech treadmills are in today's day and age. Being a tech geek of sorts, I would expect options for upgrade ability, such as changing out monitors, speakers, etc. Again, being an outside person that now lives in a very non friendly runner environment, I would love the scenic videos on a large ultra wide 4k minimum screen. Maybe with an option for fans that increase as you run up a virtual mountain, like in Rocky V, hahaha. Okay, that might be pushing it, but if this was the path I went down in life in designing them it wouldn't be. Also, none of these seem to have video out options for running to a TV, then the customization would be simple. For the price of treadmills, which has been a major shock to me for what you get, it just seems like some effort should go into upgrades, modules, something, anything, and yet, none seem to have any. I built my 16k dollar computer which is also a simulator which I soon plan to add hydraulics, so if you're watching Nordi, or Peloton, I'm available for a percent of your profits if you want to truly revolutionize this market for the better! Smiley face.
If you haven't looked at the Wahoo KICKR Run treadmill, I definitely would. It's super cool, and I really hope it raises the bar for treadmill tech going forward.
Very, very cool! It does seem to lack a few things, well, from what I can see on their site. No heart monitoring from what I see so far, but the features it does mention, like the use of a TV and the responsive surface sound great! Thank you so much! Much more research to do on it, but very interesting.
I have the Nordic Track x22i incline trainer. The frame has cracked 3 times. The running board has cracked once. The adjustment has snapped twice. The machine is absolutely junk. I’m 170 pounds and run between 9 to 11 miles per hour
There are buttons below the screen to scroll through the programs. You will also have to use the speed/incline + and - buttons to adjust your settings.
The NordicTrack Incline and Commercial treadmills are the softest. That would be the NordicTrack X22i , 1750, and 1250 from this video. However, I also really like the new X24 and 2450 that were released after this video was published.
Sole 85 looks perfect for me to use. The apps to help me focus on walking or running. Question...does the treadmill increae and decrease incline when doing the preinstalled training videos in it?
The Sole F85 automatically inclines with the built-in training programs (not videos) and with the Kinomap app videos. The Sole Plus app videos and other training videos require you to adjust the treadmill manually.
It should do just fine with that level of use. It's hard for us to give exact recommendations like that because there are so many variables to consider, but I think the Pro 9000 is a good choice!
Thanks for the great video. My wife and I are in our 40. My wife is trying to loose weight. We are just getting started to run 30-45 minutes everyday. Which treadmill would you recommend for me to buy for my house? (We also have 2 teenagers that will probably use it as well. Thanks!
Running on a treadmill is great for recovery and increasing your mileage, and it provides a softer landing than the road. A good soft treadmill would be the NordicTrack 1750. Road running is a great way to prepare for a race or become a stronger runner. The Sole F80 and F63 are great treadmills if you want a firm treadmill that feels like road running.
If it's too hot or too cold, or raining, or too dark outside, the Road is not so great. A treadmill is always there for you! But, It's amazing to get out and see the world while you are running. Also, you can push yourself by running away from home knowing that you still need to return. At my age, I feel like a treadmill is safer - the surface is soft and consistent and I'm less likely to turn an ankle or trip and fall. Some days, when I don't feel like pushing myself, it's great to put on a 45 minute TV show on my ipad as I run/jog.
I am considering a Sole F63 but I am a little concerned if it is capable enough for faster running. I read a different review that stating this is generally better for more easier to moderate running. I am wondering if it will handle running at a pace of 6.00 - 6.20 per mile for longer interval periods? Thanks @@BestTreadmillReviews
@@thru_and_thru Great question! It's hard to say as so many factors go into what a treadmill can handle. In general, I would say you could do this sort of workout maybe a couple times per week on the F63. If you are training on it every single day, I would consider the F80 or a similar treadmill.
I run very comfortably on Planet Fitnees life fitness treadmill I think because of cushioning .. what is my best option to replicate it at home when I am buying the treadmill ..
You can go for the Life Fitness Run CX. It's a nice residential treadmill from the brand you like. If you are looking for something affordable, try Horizon. Their treadmills have slightly more cushioning, depending on the model you are using from Life Fitness.
You have to unlock the treadmill to privileged mode to side load other apps. Or you can use the installed web browser for you tube, Netflix etc. They try to make you use Ifit and lock it down but their are ways around it.
Most of the treadmills we review have a minimum speed of 0.5 or 1 mph. The Sole treadmills have a 0.5 mph minimum speed, while the NordicTrack and ProForm have a minimum speed of 1.0 mph. The maximum speed on most home treadmills is 12 mph.
