Today, we look at one of the strangest and most disgusting pieces of media to come out in the last 20 years: a prank show, released after the trial, focusing on alleged (and probably guilty) double-murderer OJ Simpson. This is a piece of media so obscure that Quinton had to take very extreme measures to find it...

This is a great gem of a find my friend great video as always
Technical question Quinton, how do you do the react videos to movies without getting feedback in the microphone? Neither of you have headphones on. Explain please, "as you would a child.”
Edit: it just occurred to me that you probably just record the sound on a different device…
Edit: Is the screen within a screen done in post or with OBS or something similar?
You should do a video about how My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on TLC promotes pedophilia and grooming. Just saw an episode where a sixteen year old girl was set up to marry her 28 year old cousin and it had been arranged by her dad.
Quick question Quinton, how do you do the custom locations?
WAIT? That was REAL???😶
Guess we'll never get a season 2 😔
So is the ultimate punchline of every single one of these pranks just “OJ killed two people and now he’s in the same room as you, uh oh”? If so, I’m looking forward to Matthew Broderick’s new high speed car racing show.
Idk if this is true but I think that accident was very involuntary
Matthew Broderick as an Uber Driver prank.
Next up: Ted Bundy's: How To Talk to Women show....
They should called it Top Gear
@Lurker M I thought the accident was in Ireland?
Christ, this is like one of those fake tv shows they would joke about in The Boondocks or Tropic Thunder
They had to get their ideas from somewhere.
Have you ever seen the faux Reality Show filmed for Tropic Thunder?
With, Downey Jr. living with people while he “prepares” for the Kirk Lazuras role? It’s pretty nutty.
I agree. It feels like the Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer from Clerks: TAS.

HE'S NOT A CARTOON
That’s the sort of lyric you get if you’re a fun middle school English teacher and you make your students write raps for an assignment.
I've heard worse but it's also a reference to a rap song about a verry specific city in a non english speaking country so no one would get the reference.
@@vitalepitts I love how the line directly following this is "you silly baboon."
OJ Simpson's quest to find the real killer ended today when the real killer, reportedly, died.
Good!
i read this in Norm Macdonald’s voice
Suddenly felt a compulsion to rewatch this video, today, April 11, 2024. Can't imagine why.
Imagine being the IRS agent that got a document labelled "O.J. Simpson Tax Write-Offs 1A: Strippers"
The dude was who just trying to get his 20 dollars back and the strippers trying not to be filmed in the bathroom are the only sympathetic people in this story. Give the guy his money back, OJ, you tool.
Lurker M ah, so you have no empathy
@Lurker M Strippers are human beings deserving of compassion and care too, my dude.
Yeah stealing someone's money is a crime, not a prank.
@Lurker M Yeah that doesn’t make you special or funny that’s just kinda shitty.
@Lurker M "i dont care about people's privacy being invaded" oof
the fact there's no torrents of this means you got a task to fulfill...
Rivals the giant Garfield
yeah, and that task is to keep it that way
Yeah, to destroy the dvd and make sure none of this is ever seen or heard about again
That would be highly immoral. Not the piracy part, the subjecting other people to this part.
Imagine if they gave Ted Bundy his own reality show and we got to see Ted Bundy bust rhymes.
He's got enough weirdos who adore him, thank god this never happened.
Yeah
I bet they would be better than OJ's.
Still better content than Juiced
How about “John Wayne Gacy’s playhouse”?
OJ’s book where he literally describes the murders should have ended the question of his guilt lol
every time im reminded of oj thats the thing i get hung up on. who the hell after being aquitted of murder decides to write a book thats like 'okay so. i didnt do the murder... but hypothetically. if i did. WHICH I DIDNT. this is how i wouldve killed them.'
even if he *didnt* kill them like i just cannot imagine doing that. what was going through his head. he came up with the idea, he wrote the book, he got it published. and he never stopped and though 'maybe this isnt a good idea' ??????????????????? it truly haunts me its like an onion article.
"man found not guilty of murder writes book about how, 'hypothetically', he wouldve done the crime; continues to claim he 'totally didnt do it guys, im just saying', like, if i did. which i didnt'"
@@FissionCube i think he is a special kind of fucked up where he gets enjoyment from flaunting how he got away with murder
Also the title of it is really fucked too. Its called "If i did it" but they put the "if" really small at the top of the "I" so it literally just looks like a book called "I did it". Total scumbag.
@@tektiteexpert5558 The “if” being shrunk down is a result of the lawsuit from the Brown family, to be fair.
yknow he didn't write that, right?
12:24 Christ. That's sexual harassment on camera. Sold as a "sexy bonus feature". That has to be some kind of illegal right??
It is very illegal!
I think technically it's a civil charge. Might be the other part of why you can't find this thing. Those women likely got a settlement including not showing that footage, so the DVD cannot be put back into print in that form.
She's a stripper so there's no way a jury would ever take her side, plus it's unlikely she could afford to press charges

fun fact: I'm not American so when I found out what Oj Simpson did I thought "the black cop from the naked gun is a murderer???" , that movie is a cult where I'm from, they show it on the same main channel every few months

I watched a few episodes of that show because Oprah had promoted the show. It was really, really uncomfortable. The white parents in blackface were enjoying "being black" a little too much. And I remember the Black dad in white face pretended to be a bartender and had to listen to a white customer talk about how much they hated Black people.
I cannot fathom a more uncomfortable show to watch frankly.

This is something that would happen in Bojack
OJ sitting on a couch being interviewed: I killed my wife
I thought he was making a clever joke about the murder trial being just like a reality show.
life is even stupider and darker than you think
It's just inexplicably really hilarious to me that there's a country version of OJ's rap, and the fact that it only appears in the DVD extras just makes it even more bizarre. Why would they put the effort in to even make that in the first place?
In the trials OJ should have said "it just a prank bro"
And his wife walks on stage and the jury were all actors
Is that a h3 content judge reference ?

Lemme say, one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had while watching a doc was watching the complete tonal shift in 'OJ Made in America' when they had to cover the inevitable 'Juiced' show.
I feel like netflix deserves a shout out for that delivery. Amazing.
I love that the intercut live reactions are back, I missed them

I love how quinton laughs every time his friend brings up that oj murdered two people like he just heard the funniest joke in history
O.J. also actually went to jail in 2007 for stealing HIS OWN MEMORABILIA in Las Vegas.
I'm starting to think his brain might be a little bit scrambled.
CTE is no joke.
I just felt so bad for the drunk dude who was begging OJ for his money
coming into this video I did not expect that he got this reality show AFTER he killed his ex wife

I'm sure someone else probably mentioned this in the comments already but fun fact about the book he wrote. It's actually called "If I Did It" and one of the lawsuits he lost to the family gave them the rights to any proceeds from the book and they also got to dictate the cover design, so they chose to design the words "I DID IT" in huge bold font and the "If" is inside of the "I" and not very visible at a glance, so if you don't look carefully it just looks like "I DID IT By OJ Simpson"
That poor man just wanted pizza :( He looks so exhausted, just wanted his money back so he could order another 'za from somewhere else :(
It would be really sad if it turned out OJ was actually innocent, but the trial really hurted his image and bottomline so badly he ended up as a washed up has-been who needs to do these type of gigs just to stay afloat...
*But because that's not the case so this is plainly hilarious!*
One of the actors in the show wrote an article for Vice about his time working on it.
He said that they told him to not mention the murders.
The very first sketch they filmed was the one where OJ tried to sell the Bronco.
I kinda hate myself for taking too long to realize why they called this show Juiced
If it makes you feel better I didn’t even think about it till I read your comment
He was also called "The Juice" during his football days so he's just continuing the nickname cause I guess "Double Murderer" wasn't as catchy.

I can't recommend that doc enough.
@@LittleMissLounge it's one of the greatest I've ever seen ngl
You know, it's a kinda appropriate OJ had a reality show in a weird way. His trial basically created the Kardashians as we know them now. Robert Kardashian was his lawyer, and the publicity from it got him and thus his family a lot of fame and money and now they have become the first thing most people think of when they think of reality tv
This feels like the reality TV counterpart to something like "Heil, Honey, I'm Home," just in terms of taste and general advised-ness.
The concept of this show honestly sounds like a joke. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. If OJ had somehow turned up in front of me as a roommate prospect, I'd legitimately run. I know he wouldn't do anything to me but I have no desire to be around a double murderer and have him know me on a first name basis.
No no, running is the appropriate response. Either that or attack. But getting away is the first priority.
Can't remember which late night show did a bit when O.J was released from prison after his robbery conviction but it was O.J trying to go about a regular life and people still recognizing him for murder then running away as you should. Best was when he was at a restaurant and asked for a knife, the waitress noped out real quick.
@@ThexDynastxQueen Heh, that sounds funny, I gotta do some searches and watch it. I've always been fascinated with OJ, not just the case but the entire conversation around it. I was too young to watch it happen, and in my country it's not that well known anyway. I only knew OJ from the Naked Gun movies, and it was quite a shock when I later heard what he did.
I know right. I was shocked none of the people who got pranked reacted with any fear. They just acted like they met their fav celeb
The first thing I decided to do when I heard the Juice died was to rewatch this
Oj's lawyers face at the reveal... it went from; "Yeah, no shit he's guilty" to; "what the fuck, NO!" and then less than two seconds following he looks like he thought to him self: "Damn I'm too good, congratulations Mr. Juice, you certainly squeezed your way out that double homicide. I fucked up."

'Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This at Home' was a video game for the PS2 and Xbox. Same logo and everything.
It was basically Power Stone with Insane Clown Posse, and tbh was quite a fun game.
(Edit: the sequel has ICP)
Out of curiosity i looked more into it was surprised that ICP actually has their own wrestling thing with JCW
@@crimsondynamo615 They also had a short stint with the WWF (though not under any sort of contract) and then a whole year with the WCW. Isn't all that much surprising if you knew that they had their hearts set on being wrestlers before taking a shot at a music career (although at the time known just as Inner City Posse, the clown motif didn't appear until a little later after that). While their agreement with the WWF was pretty shit (they'd make appearances for free in exchange for having commercials for their newest album played - though they never aired) they left WCW because they feared that people would think that being rappers was an act for their wrestling careers when the reverse was true.
Another fun fact was one of Violent J's moves was a moonsault, which he could perform even in his heavier days (a moonsault being a backflip off the top-rope into a body slam). I am both blessed with this knowledge but cursed to pass it on.
Your deep dives into the forgotten and obscure inspired me to create my channel that is all about Waterworld!
Do it! I love that movie!!! KEVIN COSTNER FOR THE WIN!
So I actually read If I Did It, mostly for a class I took (although I would argue the money from the book doesn't go to O.J. Simpson, it goes to the Goldman family, who are the ones who receive author credit in exchange for a foreword and afterword, so you shouldn't feel too bad about purchasing the book to read it if you do) and it's funny because in the book he paints himself as this wholesome family man guy (he even calls each time he has sex "making love" iswtg), which becomes even funnier when you see this very un family-like show, especially since he does not act uncomfortable in this setting at all.

According to WorldCat, the only library in the world with a copy of Juiced is the Toronto Institute for the Blind. They have the 2006 uncut, uncensored, and unrated version (though that's probably the only version). They have 3 copies of a 2002 film by the same name. I can only presume they ordered this one by mistake. But you can probably have them send it to your local library through the interlibrary loan service.

This man sure has lead a fascinating life
Who came back here when the news OJ's death hit?
They actually had a segment on “This American Life” about Juiced and they interviewed some folks from the show about it! Them merely describing the scene where OJ tries to sell a white ford bronco has been burned into my brain.
Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead. Does it take back all the bad things he has done? No. But at least one less bad person walks this earth.
I remember when This American Life covered this, they also put it in the context of the post-murder chase and how weird it was that he went from breaking down and contemplating suicide while on the phone with the police to THIS. I honestly don't know which is more pathetic.
I think the Bronco Chase and his contemplation of suicide made Simpson very sympathetic. But his "prank" show proves the guy is nothing but a nasty sociopath who was shedding crocodile tears.
