I’m young and I do believe what you say sometimes other people don’t understand and I love all about planes and helicopters and I’m a kind of a history nerd. I’m 10 years old and I appreciate your response.
14 year Marine still active. Spent lots of time on 53s and 22.did a float with the USS BHR, and 3 deployments to the Middle East. Also I moved to Hawaii from FMF Lant a year ago and worked with admiral caudel in Norfolk
I'm from the Philippines, specifically Bataan. And the whole place seems surreal to me that those things happened even if there is recorded history. Thank you for your service!
I read your bio and I’m blown away sir. It’s very inspiring to me. The life you’ve lived and the hardships you’ve overcome are amazing to say the least. As a young soldier that just graduated AIT, I hope I can someday tell a story like yours and have a long career in the military.
Over here in germany we have CH-53s as well in service. As a child i have seen many of them fly over my Hometown, was in awe about those huge Copters. Now, with 45 years age, they returned to my hometown and are seen back in the air after nearly 25 years of absence ... i love it.
Thank you for your service GG!! I got goosebumps listening to Grandpa dropping knowledge about the aircrafts. A big shoutout to all the men and women on the USS Bataan for being such gracious hosts. That was awesome!
Thank you for your service. I just finished basic and tech school for the air force. I will be maintaining rescue helicopters and I am so grateful for others like you who maintain their love of these craft and teach me so much.
Norfolk, VA here, not Military myself, but been around it all my life and in love with it all.. But I was a hard head and took the wrong path lol.. soon as you stepped on the deck literally had couple tears roll down cause I can only imagine the feeling rolling over you. Thank you for your service
I’ve been seeing Ospreys coming to the airport by my house recently. I always enjoy watching them come in. I get excited like a kid in a candy store. Haha It’s great that you were able to board that ship and video your experience for so many others to see and enjoy! While I did not personally serve, both my grandfathers did. I have great respect for our service men & women. Thank You for your service and the awesome video!
Love the video! I was an FMF Corpsman with 2nd MARDIV in Lejeune and my buddy, basically my brother was also stationed at New River with HMH-461(the squadron the King Stallion belongs to in your video) as a crew chief on the Echos! Semper Fi, thank you as well as the wife for ya'lls service.

I've seen a few of your clips, and decided to stop by your channel, and came across your tour. Thank you for your service, Yut! Yut! Wow, that brought back some memories. Former combat camera, and I was stationed on the Ol Dirty Nickel. Member berries for days. Let's see if anyone reads this that was on the Bataan during "Swine '09" and also the Haitian humanitarian mission after the earthquake in 2010. I always loved seeing these when i was stationed in Djibouti Africa back in 2010. They are pretty massive in person especially in comparison with most helos besides the shinook. I was a p-3 mechanic for the navy and always land based so oddly enough i never seen the Navy's version of the ch-53. Definitely my favorite of all the helos in any branch.
It's awesome to see everyone show you the respect you've earned, I know I'm not the only one that appreciates all of the information you share and the badass that you are. Thank you sir.
Thank you for your service, this was really cool, it would be a pleasure to see more of these meet and greet interviews and tours, lots to be learned by all :)
I was attached to this absolute relentless gator, for the opening stages of the war on terror, under then Capt. M. ''Mallard'' Allard, in Afghanistan, and we brought the war to the enemy, under top notch ''Sierra Hotel,'' leadership, and relentless warrior spirit, collectively. My first born, was born whilst serving attached this ship, and Mallard, ran bombing runs throughout the night, in that sons name, and in the name of God. Some of the hardest men, and women, I have ever had the fortune to know, and serve with.
Found this channel randomly, Sir, this video I really enjoyed. So much informations and place which I would never be able to visit. Greetings from central Europe.

I was a guest on that ship long ago. My great uncle survived the Battan Death March and later died in a POW camp. Its possible his remains are one of the three in DC according to my grandpa. He has since passed bjt was a Veitnam Vet himself. Thank You for your Service. I wish my grandpa would have been a gamer, i would have loved to play with him. Do you play COD?
Thank you for this informative video your gaming clips invaded my you tube shorts feed and here I am, watching a full length video. Man. I took the Bataan to the Middle East and to Haiti in 2009-2010. Marine Corps 2006-2012. I was involved in Testing the Osprey on the Bataan, Ponce, and Fort McHenry. Making sure it wouldn’t melt the flight decks. That was a scary bird to ride in. Much rather be in a 53. Louder, but much more safe feeling.
Thanks for your service. I can't help but feel proud to be an American but at the same time, one day, would be amazing if we could live in world where these machines could turn into something other than fighting wars.
9 Years ago I was graduating from IT college and tgey offered us a military/ marine registration service with a chance to visit one of these sites.. thx grandpa for sharing
Woah. They named a ship after a Philippine municipality? The site of the Death March? What an honor. Thank you for your service and acknowledging our part in World War 2 as well.
@@DibIrken They named their LHD ships after famous battles iirc. I don't really remember or know the naming convention for USN ships. But as far as I know, this was named for the Battle of Bataan, where US soldiers fought side by side with Filipino volunteers and conscript from December 8 1941- April 9 1942.
My father worked in the American Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbour, I was born in Honolulu Hawaii, obviously not during the second world war lmao. My grandfather was stationed there as well, however, he was a recon on a plane. He did fly over 'nam and did a few missions, he would often regale me with stories of shit he saw there. Thank you for your service, thank you for making me smile when you take out noobs and thank you for sharing your content, it makes me happy.
While I was never in the military, I grew up an Army brat. My dad joined up when the Vietnam War was coming to an end. He was stationed at Fort Lee Virginia going through ordinance training. He worked with Agent Orange which later after he retired contributed to him getting diabetes. He's a tough guy, went through 2 tours during Desert Storm/Shield. I've always had high respect for the military, though I'll never get over hearing taps being played over the loud speakers on base.
Have you ever tried to play a game called Arma 3 or Day-Z? I feel like those are the type of games that you can really test your sniping skills in a game.
