So maybe I should talk to my dr about morphine and my muscle relaxers and blood pressure meds unless morphine pill form reacts differently with these meds
Pill form medications are essentially identical to IV with the only difference being that in IV form the drug goes straight to the bloodstream and then starts to metabolize in the liver whereas in pill form it first has to go through the gut and then be absorbed slowly into the bloodstream and then metabolized in the liver. It's basically a matter of route of administration but the drug does not change.
Ok I talked to my dr and she said it’s ok to take my muscle relaxers but to check my bp and not take my morphine if my bp was 100 or lower on my systolic
Everyone on long term pain management is addicted some just handle it better. Pain management need to be able to ween people off to not just manage pain.
not at all, long term opioid use will often always cause DEPENDANCE but addiction is a mental illness in response to trauma or mental turmoil. people who are just dependant get weaned off and they come out fine however addiction is a problem which will have affect the person for the rest of their life. almost everyone will be given an opiate at multiple points in their lives, not everyone is an addict
