I get chills everytime i see the "flight" scene and get to hear that monologue, especially thinking about it as if you just met your dad for the first time and realized your practically a God. Clark must have felt exhilarated, excited, terrified, in wonder, and in awe. definitely the coolest and most inspiring moment from the movie for me.
This version sounds more hopeful, the movie version sounds more lonely, like it’s just Clark thinking he’s special, this one sounds more like the people of earth coming together to become Superman. You get the character dude.

I never liked Superman. I thought he was overrated. But MoS made me like him, perhaps because he wasn't all hope and optimism, Cavill showed the Man of Steel wasn't all steel. And Hans Zimmer just made me love him even more with this theme.
Funny. The Chris Reeve Superman showed his humanity and that he couldn't save everyone. MoS Superman doesn't even try and brings fights to populated areas and gets all teenage style revenge on a truck driver. They need to pull him a way from the emo douche Superman
What are you talking about? Superman flew Zod through an empty corn field through a feed silo and into a 7-11 gas station making it blow up and probably killing whoever was there filling up. Zod couldn't even fly yet at that point. That was all Superman. He should have plowed him into the ground in the corn field instead of flying them both probably 3 miles into town. In Metropolis Superman flew him up into space and brought him back down into the city instead of to some unoccupied area. Zod at that point just barely figured out how to fly and Superman was in control as they flew back down. You see him on top with Zod not even seeing where they were going. Go watch some clips of the fight its all up there.

I don't care what people say about the movies, DC definitely has amazing for its movies. Wonder Woman, Beautiful Lie, and this one. The best part is the variety: Wonder Woman's theme is more of the action packed greatness, Beautiful Lie held the tragedy and vengeance, and this one showed the rise of a hero.

It is amazing how two very different scores and versions of Superman fit so perfectly with what the tone was of their films. Williams' upbeat, march style with Reeve's boy scout Superman. Zimmer's bombastic, grandiose score with Cavill's grounded, gritty Superman.
Unbelievable playing sur! absolutely love the Man of Steel soundtrack not a huge fan of Zimmers style in general but he knocked it outta the park on this and the Batman begin themes which for modern interpretations of iconic heroes is yet to be bettered etc.
Wandering Wurm It also gave me a different vibe amongst superheroes. My perception about DC got better with it. Loved how they novelized the Man of Steel's origin. The scene where Jonathan Kent looks at their adopted son while playing on the dog was very wonderful for me. It may not be the best comic book movie but it probably is the best origin movie for a comic book story.
Hans Zimmers' scores for The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will always be the quintessential themes for those 3 superheroes to me.

Also, I'll say something controversial. Dark Knight was amazing, but Nolan's realism fetish really ruined the comic part of it (especially in Rises). It is just sad when everything in your superhero movie is better than the actual superhero (at least in costume, the Bruce stuff was still really nice)
