Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone and hopefully there will many more videos from me in 2016 :)
With Batman v Superman coming up in March 2016, I went back and rewatched Man of Steel, I personally love the film, I know it has it's fair share of critics but in terms of a standalone Superman film I think it works. I love Ideal of Hope, as everyone knows, Hans Zimmer is one the most famous composers of our time and creates some amazing themes, they're all very simple but when they're layered up with a full orchestra with all of the different voicings then they become extremely powerful.
I'm about 90% happy with the acoustic at the beginning, I don't have a proper microphone so I have to record it though my phone which doesn't handle dynamics very well, so I struggled with stopping the acoustic from clipping, but I think I made it sound as good as I could.
You might have noticed that this is the first 1080p video I've released, that's because I finally have a good camera! I got a Fujifilm X-A2 for Christmas and I love it, the videos come out very clear, the pictures are great and it's simple enough yet in depth enough for someone who has never used a fancy camera before.

what a fucking AWESOME line. I get chills everytime i see the "flight" scene and get to hear that monologue, especially thinking about it as if you just met your dad for the first time and realized your practically a God. Clark must have felt exhilarated, excited, terrified, in wonder, and in awe. definitely the coolest and most inspiring moment from the movie for me.

This version sounds more hopeful, the movie version sounds more lonely, like it’s just Clark thinking he’s special, this one sounds more like the people of earth coming together to become Superman. You get the character dude.
You will give the people of earth an ideal to strive for. they will stumble, they will fall, but in time, they will join you in the sun.
And the reason they will fall is because you will be punching every villain into a building killing millions.
In time James Gunn will fire you.
No one beats Hans Zimmer’s awesome scores... well, maybe John Williams. They are both masters of their crafts. Equally on different ends of the spectrums.
And the guy who does the last of us, the soundtrack is quite good

Honest to God I loved this theme. The parts where it sounds "triumphant/hopeful" is what really works for Superman, such as around 1:58.

A great quote to sum up what Superman's arc should have been in the film. But instead, it went nowhere, and he just continued being a mopey prick in BVS. So much wasted potential in Snyder's MoS, and goddamn, the score itself deserved a better movie.

I never liked Superman. I thought he was overrated. But MoS made me like him, perhaps because he wasn't all hope and optimism, Cavill showed the Man of Steel wasn't all steel. And Hans Zimmer just made me love him even more with this theme.
Funny. The Chris Reeve Superman showed his humanity and that he couldn't save everyone. MoS Superman doesn't even try and brings fights to populated areas and gets all teenage style revenge on a truck driver. They need to pull him a way from the emo douche Superman
What are you talking about? Superman flew Zod through an empty corn field through a feed silo and into a 7-11 gas station making it blow up and probably killing whoever was there filling up. Zod couldn't even fly yet at that point. That was all Superman. He should have plowed him into the ground in the corn field instead of flying them both probably 3 miles into town.
In Metropolis Superman flew him up into space and brought him back down into the city instead of to some unoccupied area. Zod at that point just barely figured out how to fly and Superman was in control as they flew back down. You see him on top with Zod not even seeing where they were going. Go watch some clips of the fight its all up there.

Well to be fair this superman was unexperienced, he never fought anyone before. First he tried to get Zod away from his mom, thats why he unintentionally ended up in the gas station and then Zod was the one who brought the fight to the city. Also did you see what Chris Reeve did to the trucker in what I believe was the third film? Lol look it up. This sups was perfect.

The original movie-theme is so epic and bombastic as a film-score, it's no wonder it sounds so good as a rock-song.
Whenever I hear Superman music.. I feel ready n motivated. Such a fuge fan. His story line feels like an Ancient mythology. He's like a God to me.
I don't care what people say about the movies, DC definitely has amazing for its movies. Wonder Woman, Beautiful Lie, and this one. The best part is the variety: Wonder Woman's theme is more of the action packed greatness, Beautiful Lie held the tragedy and vengeance, and this one showed the rise of a hero.

There's something unique about DC films' soundtrack that whenever you listen to it, you begin to cry and feel this powerful energy flowing inside you.

I have to give that to Wonder Woman. When her theme comes up you know butts are going to get kicked in an epic kind of way.
Everything that Hans Zimmer did for the DC is classic. All the add-ons from junkie xl were trash except for Beautiful Lie and I don't even know how much of that was him.
Man of Steel is still pretty good though, and I just wish that Justice League wasn't so short.

I was wondering if you guys actually mind that I'm putting more movie/TV show footage into my videos? Sometimes when it's the same theme or repetitive thing I want to break it up a bit. I also think it grounds the music a bit, so you know what kind of scene that it was played in and you get a sense of the emotion. Let me know your thoughts!

This is my second favorite DC theme. Wonder Woman's theme will never be topped, but this one sounds so majestic and inspiring. I love Hans Zimmer.

It is amazing how two very different scores and versions of Superman fit so perfectly with what the tone was of their films. Williams' upbeat, march style with Reeve's boy scout Superman. Zimmer's bombastic, grandiose score with Cavill's grounded, gritty Superman.

I love what Superman represents and how Snyder made him look and feel in that movie. It was truly an inspiring movie.

Wandering Wurm It also gave me a different vibe amongst superheroes. My perception about DC got better with it. Loved how they novelized the Man of Steel's origin. The scene where Jonathan Kent looks at their adopted son while playing on the dog was very wonderful for me. It may not be the best comic book movie but it probably is the best origin movie for a comic book story.

Unbelievable playing sur! absolutely love the Man of Steel soundtrack not a huge fan of Zimmers style in general but he knocked it outta the park on this and the Batman begin themes which for modern interpretations of iconic heroes is yet to be bettered etc.
