- I reviewed Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, and I gotta be honest, it was one of the most mixed bag movies I've watched in a while. Somethings were done well, and some things weren't.

fun fact: my dad said that everyone in the theater cheered when yoda started fighting dooku so yes star wars fans are big fans of seeing yoda fight

It was cool at the time but in retrospect it was a terrible decision.
In the official Russian dubbing, Anakin is voiced by an excellent voice actor, thus their relationship does not look as super bland as in the original. However, it's still a love thread, one of the worst in this universe.
Same with the Hungarian dub.

@@scottbutters6947To be perfectly honest I actually think TPM and AOTC are both better than Return of the Jedi. People forget how flawed Episode VI is in a lot of ways because Anakin's arc is so strong.
I came the first time I saw Dooku do the Force Lightning. "OMG!!!! A second Force lightning weilder," me when I was 15.
George Lucas specifically told Hayden to speak like James Earl Jones. Slow, pausing, hard to show emotion. He discusses it in interviews. I use to think he was terrible too. He is great in Ep.3!!! Also, can I be dubbed “one of the boys” 😆

I thought it was cool; howeve, bro went on to tell me how the sequals were amazing, and orginal trilogy was okay, and the prequals were the worst thing ever. Bro even saod revenge of the sith was prob the worst prequal. To make it even worse, he said he loves the porgs from the sequals. I told him that he had lost his mind, then bro said "How are the sequals even bad?🤓"

In my opinion those changes would improve this movie
1: Cut in half Padmé and Anakin subplot or make it more organic
2: Why not show some scenes of Anakin and Obi Wan training or in the order as a general because it's my take that we should have seen more of this brash and reckless Anakin because it gets weird the transition from brash and reckless to more mature and sound of the clone wars to depressed and desperate
3: Make Dooku much more important in the movie by foreshadowing him as a Separatist or secretly a ex jedi

Honestly I think the sequels are worse than attack of the clones. The count cooks fight with yoda the arena scene also liked the chase scene after the bounty hunter better then the horrible sequels. Also I think phantom menace is a great Star Wars movie.
Very good video. My only complaint would be about the battle of geonosis not making sense. It's supposed to be messy as Mace Windu still believed Count Dooku was an Ally and might see some sense with the presence of hundreds of Jedi. That's why it was a massive massacre and it proved that the Jedi needed the clone army for the separatist threat. So I wouldn't say it was bad writing, it was all necessary to show how to Clone Wars began.

Nah I love the Anakin/Dooku fight. Sir Christopher Lee himself once said that he was in more swordfights than any actor, and that Attack of the Clones was the greatest swordfight of all time so... He has to be right.

To be fair, the original trilogies love story was between a brother and sister, I never really noticed how bad the romance scenes were in attack of the clones.
the worst part of AotC is Lucas realized he has no idea how to write romance, so he just shoehorned in the plot of “The Bodyguard”
It was honestly refreshing to see Jango Fett fight Obi-Wan the way he does after playing Jedi Survivor, which is a great game but has some lame boss fights against bounty hunters which just love to have blaster bolts redirected back at them. They should be much smarter and resourceful than that.

I think the romance is looked at the wrong way. It's bad on purpose. It shows just how awkward people can be if they're socially isolated from most people and attachments their whole life and then suddenly thrust into a situation with those things. It's actually very realistic and when I look at it that way, it makes it better for me.

I used to hate this movie, but I’ve really come around to it after I realized that there were only a couple super cringy moments, and if you really want to just skip the fire scene you can and won’t miss much. Another W thing about this movie are the memes it made.

Attack of the clones was an ok movie, like it’s an improvement from the first movie. Hayden Christensen isn’t a bad actor but the dialogue 😬, just needs more work. The only thing interesting about AOTC is are the fights ⚔️. I also agree with you that the army of Jedi should have not only save Anakin, Obi-wan & Padme but shouldn’t command the clone army? Whatever happened to keepers of the peace, guess that is being toss out the window. I also feel like Natalie’s tone is down for most of the movie.
