Very nice video!
As others say, leave the bonce on and use a sharp knife and you may not leave quite as much flesh on the carcase.
Thank you.

Need info on Cod
So now im beyond confused... i work at a wegmans and we never get a whole cod in. We get loins, fillets and portions. And the fillets are literally just the loin with some weird smaller piece on it and its like cut in the middle. Apparently thats not how cod fillets work, looking at this cuz even if you sliced down the middle it wouldnt look the same.
As cod can be a large fish, the fillet is often too big for a single portion. It is therefore possible to buy the cod loin, which is cut from the middle section or fattest part of the fillet. Succulent loins are short and fat compared to longer cod fillets and they are considered the prime cut.
You'll find it 99.9% easier if you leave the head on

Almost cut off one of his fingers.
Fillet a cod lmao bones come out so easy 😂
You did it wrong you should leave the head on and you shouldn't remove the first fillet complely until the second one on the opposite side is just about off . This will stop the fillet being at an awkward angle to .
Good point about leaving the first fillet on until the 2nd is almost free. Make the job much easier..
I ordered two of these based on the reviews. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxqmKabisEv81ul5v7OhvVxxOpt2CJruI- Received them on time and they look good. I really like the handle on these knives as they feel good in my hand. I'm giving them 4 stars on look and feel, but have not had the chance to put them to the test yet. I mostly fish for catfish and can hopefully try them out in the next few days. If they hold an edge throughout a limit of catfish, they'll be worth another star.Update...I used the 9" strong and the 9" fillet on a mess of catfish. I did put a sharpening on these before I started. I want a razor edge to fillet fish but they weren't quite that sharp. The people who gave these knives crappy reviews and said they were sending them back was because they weren't razor sharp. So what, do they not have a knife sharpener?? Good grief! I mean you have to sharpen any knife from time to time.I personally like them and am pleased with them. If you're too lazy to sharpen a knife then hire someone to clean your fish lol.I've never bought a knife in my life that would shave hair right out of the box. Don't be afraid to purchase the knives. They're pretty nice in my opinion.
Looks rotten
This is a very poor demonstration of how to fillet a fish especially from the ‘authority on seafood’
