i think there's no DEBATE at all...Innova's audience knows it requirements which certainly do not include massive sunroofs, touchscreens all around, etc....while Carens' audience knows its requirements which are far away from reliability, resale value, etc...
😂 it just took 3 years for kia to overtake toyota😂. So topic of reliability is only a hoax . A carefully driven nano can also go for years and even a merc can be wrecked in reckless driving.😂😂😂

Innova is way more expensive, dull and heavy to drive and also has a poorer mileage. That's besides the fact that it's no where even close to having the features that Carens has. Sure it has sturdiness, and the Toyota reliability but there's nothing to suggest that Carens would not have both either. For me it is simple, if you want a driver driven car, have other cars for features and do not care about mileage, then go for Innova. If you're looking for self driven more stylish family car, Carens is the one.

We have both in our network and drove them recently on a 300+km one way. The Carens is the 1.4 turbo and most kids and women liked the drive quality of the Carens than the Crysta which had more bounce and body roll. Performance too wasn’t too far apart. With regards to last row comfort, kids again liked the Carens than the Crysta.

Kia Caren’s top end is at 17.50L vs Innova’s base model at 17.86L. How’s this even a fair comparison. Even though innova is a legend but the prices have steadily gone way up!
If you watch the video till the end, you realise that the comparison is actually with a pre-owned Innova, which costs around the same as a brand-new Carens.
Even a pre owned top model of Crysta is at least a couple lakhs more expensive than Carens. And you lose out on a lot of warranty as well.
Bra cause Innova is a seriously overpriced car
I'm not a fan of MPVs, and seeing Innovas everywhere used to be annoying. But if I just had to pick one up, it'd be the Innova just for the practicality and Toyota build quality.
You should have gone with XL6 vs Carens.. crysta is undoubtedly the King !!!

The diesel engine is very vibey. The video doesn't mention the jerkiness of the gear lever at startup as opposed to hear silent start on carens.

My family just bought Kia carens and we already had Innova with us. I don't know why but let me tell you Kia carens is miles better Then Innova in the present day Scenario. Innvova is outdated with very hard steering wheel and old interrior. Coming onto power. Get a Turbo petrol and it can Beat the Innova in a drag race with ease.

@@ijustfelldown in front of the kind of videos PD makes, it is awkward. If you consider other RUclips channels maybe it’s not awkward in comparison to them. But as per the standards of PD, surely it is.
Compare the Marazzo with these. We have one in our fleet cars and it’s clocked close to 3 lakh Kms, engine reliability is better than I expected.

Except for two down sides Crysta is the better reliable choice for me.
Carens offers better mileage & cost-effective on-road pricing. Yes if you enjoy driving smoothly and if you call that fun - then Carens should be enough and might not burn ur pocket. Toyota needs to match with Caren's pricing - I see that as a new angle, why would not Innova's entry-level car buyer choose carens and enjoy more. Carens can get the job done and if you want more then depending on your definition of "more" - wide range of cars pile up, including innova.
toyota cannot match that pricing it will have to take out all high tensile steel from chasis to do that....exactly what kia has done in carens, A cabin is collapsing at 64kmph

The innova is a gas guzzler , its a fantastic mpv no doubt , but definitely the xl6 , ertiga snd karens do more than enough for your dail routine and few long trips. Buying a used innova may be cheaper but maintain it is not going to be the same.
Maintenance.. ? Aren't Toyota's and Hero two wheelers known for zero maintenance cost?

Well, if your rides with people on board are primarily within city limits, the easy going, smaller Carens will be good enough. But if mile munching with people on board is your forte, than the stretch for Innova is worth it.

It is so sad to see my favourite motoring channel downgrading the content here continuously! That charm and excitement is all gone now. Really sorry and sad to say but really you guys did so well before than now. You once literally raised the bar and standards of Indian Motoring World. Sadly it is slowly downgrading. Certainly the legend Innova. It offers you value for money. Only vehicle to have more resale value in the market. Also you can drive that as far as 1 million Km if you maintain well.

Booked my innova last month. Ofcourse Kia Caren’s is a good car. But I want a long term car. It’s hard to see a 10 or 15 year old Hyundai products except the old santro. But I could see a older honda city or innova very often which is still running very good. Maybe Caren’s might be good but I ignoring all the gimmicks I would prefer the toyota product
There was no other good selling Hyundai cars in Indian market 15 years ago.
My cousin has Innova crysta and everytime he rides out kia he absolutely loves it. Do you think the camera mounted orvm are gimmicks which are used when switching lanes or parking your car? Do you call ventilated seat a gimmick considering the hot weather? Heads-up display let's you keep your eyes on the front and not look down on the speedometer and it is integrated with navigation so you don't have to look at the infotainment display at all. the sunroof makes the cabin more airy and definitely beats opening the window which adds buffeting noise .If you call those things gimmicks then you are better off with the Innova.
It is like choosing Bolero vs other pseudo compact SUVs. Bolero has its own audience and use and so has Innova. I'd love to see a video on Bolero PD team! Pls..

@@1011maky kuch bhi nahi... you have to own it to understand. Its bcoz of harrier and new safari, that hexa was axed. Also the varicor 400 becomes too costly for bs6 conversion. Did you even know that it was shown in the 2020 auto expo update.

For 10 years I am using TOYOTA qualis...but recently I bought new KIA carens prestige diesel manual because of its fuel efficiency.Ride quality is excellent.Totally satisfied....💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜
