thankyou for putting captions for what’s going on, and putting the radio communication audio! i enjoy these videos and those elements make it even better to watch.
Having a structure fire is not the solution to a cold spell. People just don't get it. Great picture of the thermo-scanner picking up the hot spot on that home. Good outcome. That was sad that someone lost their life on the second structure fire, not the outcome we want to hear. At least those two guys did the best to help her but too intense of a fire for them. That electrical fire was quickly extinguished, but was that a gas line right next to it too? That was great that you were able to take that resident up on the ladder truck. That was just too cool, and it's off her bucket list too. Smile Eric, Conner always does. Great video coverage again. You two do an excellent job of POIs.
As always great vlog...sorry to hear that you have the white stuff on the ground. Hope it leaves soon. Up here in Ontario we still have temps in the upper 70's as we are going into our Thanksgiving long weekend....stay safe and take care.
What is the difference between an aerial and a truck, and a tower? Is a medic unit the same thing as an Ambulance or BLS unit? Are your medic units firefighters as well.
@South Metro Fire Rescue PIO Connor When is Big Day? When is yous Wedding! CON GRATS! Great Video. Are u guys at SMFRD Ready for Winter? It made it down to 20 last night here in Show Low Az. I got up and im like DAMN ITS COLD! My 2017 GMC DENALY 3500 HD DUALLY Would not crank over for the remote start. I had to manually start it. And it Smoked Like an old Coal Train for the rest of the day. It made laugh. Keep Calm And Roll Coal. I have to tip my hat to yer avalanche on beating my Bruins.😢 Congrats. Idk about u guys but the Broncos dont have the drive they had when they had Manning. I am hoping to send u guys a patch as a trade for a SMFRD PATCH. Its funny i keep my dads challange coin he gave when i was a kid in my wallet it seems to be my get out of a tickett card. Lol. Thanks for all your hard work!
Awful shame about that woman in the Littelton 2nd alarm. Crews were lucky though if they made entry earlier it could have flashed on them just as they entered the door.
PEOPLE TRAPPED. Not the time for a transitional attack. A aggressive interior search needs to be conducted. A Hoskins needs to be put in between the fire and the trapped occupants. You need to ventilate and get the smoke to lift to give any trapped victims a better chance of survival. You risk a lot to save a lot.
Easy to say when encountering flashover conditions. No time to vent when you first arrive considering the truck is going into a rapid primary search. If the stairwell flashes while the truck is trying to primary search you’re going to loose 2-4 firefighters.
@@dominiccarlucci9514 I’m not saying break out every when or just send guys into get killed. VEIS can be done. You need to be extremely aggressive when people are reported trapped. Aggressive attack by an engine company and coordinated ventilation will get the job done. Operating hose lines from the exterior isn’t removing the victims from the smoke. Also if you know how to read smoke, you have the upper hand. Don’t get rollover confused with flashover. Sometimes you need to put yourself in danger to save someone. Read the inside of your helmet sometime. I believe it tells you it’s a inherently dangerous job. You do you up in Stone Ridge NY. Hopefully you guys go in if people are trapped. Red gear. Nice touch.

Greetings from Bremen :)
But has the incident been updated?
My dad works at station 22 and he told me about this apartment fire
Greetings from Italy! I hope I'll become a firefighter 😍
You can do it!

Aerial units are towers and ladders. Medic is slang for ambulance and most of them are ALS and yes they are trained firefighters
Just curious with a confirmed structure fire of this kind, do fire crews leave the building automatic fire alarms on for the duration of the incident?
Cant wait 6 minutes to go
whens the next fleet friday
It's a vlog
I know that i was asking when the next fleet friday is
@@evanrude2544 oh sorry I read it rong. My bad :(
@South Metro Fire Rescue PIO: So if you Eric are PIO 1 then Connor is PIO 2 on radio and Pulse Point I would assume?
StueyExMCFD no on PulsePoint Eric is SMPIO10 and Connor is SMPIO11
Do you have to live with in SMFR’s response area to be employed with SMFR?
A flash fire... that has to be rare what caused it? Also did any special units be called in since it flashed?
Two vary interesting calls with in the same week! Same as above... that’s rare what caused it and did any special units get called in?
Hey Eric and Connor
What caused the fire?🤔
Hey uh.....
You know....
I think your incident has been updated

Eric and Conner what’s your radio ID number? Like what do you say to the dispatcher on the radio? Ex: fire rescue 12 on scene.
