#StillSomebody

Last week, more than 200 students participated in a #StillSomebody sleep out event to raise awareness during the Global Week of Action on Homelessness. An effort with Edmund Rice Schools from around the world, the students participated in a variety of activities to build awareness, take action and advocate to end homelessness. Students heard firsthand stories from individuals experiencing homelessness and the support they received from Covenant House to help improve their lives. In addition, our service project produced over 400 sandwiches for Port Ministry to distribute to the homeless population throughout Chicagoland. The evening culminated in students braving the elements and spending the night on the football field.
