How do you think it compares th the loxia 21mm 2.8 torn between the two mainly do landscape and astro I use my af lenses for street photography great review as allways
Thanks you for your professional work with with so much passion. I think I will get 25 and 50 after that I will find something else 85mm or even 135mm I just bought Sonya7r3 Before I have used Fujifilm and one of my favourite lens was Mitakon speedmaster 35mm f 0,95 I love manual focus 😊 btw. It is also amazing lens really art. Best regards from Europe
Microcontrast is really special, which is an main selling point at Zeiss premium lines. Interesting for such us expensive lens to has only five aperture blades.
Having good micro-contrast really makes your images "pop". I have a 16kp 50mm f1.2 soviet projector lens, and it is one of the sharpness lenses I own (surprisingly). However, it has low contrast and low micro-contrast, giving it a seemingly mediocre resolving power. My Kamlan 28mm f1.4 and Jupiter-11a however, have excellent sharpness, contrast, and micro-contrast. They have a lot more "pop", as well as being capable of producing 23-megabyte JPEGS with complex scenes (I got a couple of 23MB JPEGS of snowy scenes with the Kamlan). Methinks with flat scenes, lenses with high micro-contrast will look a lot better.
Most detailed reviews on RUclips! I can't say it enough. Another great video Dustin!
Thank you!

I would think that 25mm is a little better for street, though the 21mm would be the superior lens for landscape.
The best Loxia in my opinion.
It's a nice one!

Then I think you should love the Loxia lenses.
which lens do you feel has better image quality, the loxia 25mm or the batis 25mm?
I feel the Loxia lenses have better color rendition and microcontrast, though the Batis is the more practical lens for stills work.
looking pretty good to me : )
It's a lovely lens.
great review, test samyang 20mm f1.8 please Dustin
With Samyang, I'm somewhat limited to what they send me, and that's only 2-3 times a year. No promises, unfortunately.
are you going to review the sony fe 16-35 f2.8 GM.
Probably at some point, but it's not on my schedule for next 5 months or so.
Do you live in Arizona Dustin?
Not now, but I grew up there and most of my family lives there.

I don't think it is snake oil, actually. I see a tangible difference when using lenses like the Loxias at the same time as other lenses.
