@@sirjazz1268 I do that whenever I'm getting wrecked by someone rocking a pretty unique build, although the amount of unique builds in this game are far from plenty.
Damn this really shows how fromsoft made so many cool new consumables and the build shows what happens if you use some of them at the same time This is is so fucking original, I love it
Delightful stuff here, although might I suggest a few things? Giantflame pots would be a fantastic option on this setup, along with perfumer bolts over lightning bolts. Volcano pots are also nice if you can build around them, but overall I love the idea of a consumable build~
I have a bow build I could easily turn into this. I’ve been messing around with the jar cannon in PvP for some quick burst with the lighting arrows. Then black bow for status effects. I was theory crafting and thought about this build, glad to see someone made one and is successful with it. I wish you could hold more than 2 sets of bolts cuz these with the jar cannon would be awesome.
Try a strictly jar build. Max armor (preferably lionell’s for aesthetic) jar helm jar talisman, pots, lots of pots, jar cannon, jar shield (or the one eyed shield with alexander’s shard.) and the kamikaze flask setup. Poise through hits and aim at the floor, explode the opposition. It’s a fun time for everyone.
do you have any tips/locations for farming for the consumables you need for this build? this is sick, the upkeep is the only thing putting me off from trying this out
I used Fextra wiki to find best places to farm crafting materials. After I got enough crafting materials, I just backup my save game so I just have to replace my save when I'm out of mats whenever I'm dueling.
For rancor pots got to the windmill village, pop a fowlfoot and kill everyone who dances for 1. Their drip 2. Their weapons 3. Most importantly, their boneshards And mushrooms are everywhere. As for sleep bolts well… you can’t farm trina’s lilies as far as I know which sucks. The Fire perfumes are annoying just g to sellen’s cellar and farm the flowers above it, low drop rate from little guys, usually guaranteed for the bug one. Very annoying farm.
I haven't gotten to play Elden Ring because of storage problems, but when I do get to, I'm definitely making a build like this! You made this video very entertaining, great job!
Very much a fan of consumable oriented characters. This looks like a very versatile and cool fighting style, makes great use of a lot of the neat new stuff they've done with the consumable weapon types. Perfumes are really fun in particular, make sure to use them whenever applicable on my characters.
Can you imagine this game running on a dedicated server with a tickrate of 60hz? FromSoft should give us the option to host our own server instead of relying on a crappy P2P connection that fails most of the time.
Large Glintstone Scrap is very annoying especially against low poise players. Comboing it with Rancor Pot to make your opponent keep running/rolling at one direction. Then chasing them up with Gravity Stone Fan while free aiming and you may roll catch them. If you manage to instantly follow it up with Sleep Bolts then it's a free damage or kill with whatever weapon/spells you're using. Using Spark Aromatic is also great for surprising a very aggresive opponent.
People always forget that items exist. Always. And when they do, that's when you hit 'em with the 40 poison bone darts, poison grease, and cuckoo glint stones. They never see it coming
Idk how feasible it is but theoretically you can have 6 pully crossbows equipped. They stay loaded when you swap weapons. So you can get a decent amount of bolt spam tossed out pretty quick
Hey, man! This is a really cool build, it's your second video I've seen. It's super close to one I was thinking of doing (Bows/Crossbows and consumables only), however I was also looking into the throwable jar items. Does not having strength make much of a difference to them? I really want access to as many consumables as possible so I can switch up what I do in co-op / pvp a lot. I see you haven't really invested in strength, but you're also not really using many pots. So I was wondering just how much the jars and/or the intelligence items are actually effected by scaling. I know for sure I want access to perfumes, they're my favorite thematically, so I'm definitely investing in dex. So, what's your advice? Do I split my str/int investment? Should I just focus on one? I can't find many tests on consumable item scaling/damage (Understandably, since it's definitely the least used build in the game)
Cool video, I do not get one thing tho. How did you use so many tools or consumables without shuffling your equipped objects? I must inquire into the eldritch arts!
@@stevenbuck4090 I'm on PC and my cheap 20$ controller has four buttons under it where I can conveniently rebind any buttons or multiple buttons on it. I don't really know about your controller but this cheap thing has this function.
Question, why weren't you taking advantage of sleep? Did the lightning shots when drowsy do more damage than, say, going up and doing a misericorde crit after they sleep, or is it just an honor thing?
I'm sure you really can't riposte or backstab when they're in sleep animation, plus they might be able to recover quickly. But there are better follow ups than lightning bolts actually. Since this build has also 40 points on Int, it's actually better to have Carian Glinstone Staff on the other hand and throw Adula's Moonblade spell once they build up sleep.
It forces the enemy to burn stamina dodging multiple bolts on top of the consumables and builds status fast. If you can more consistently land your shots then a stronger crossbow would be better, but then you'd need a whole new build.
Seeing more niche builds like this is so refreshing! You can tell how mixed up everyone is against it because I bet so many players are used to the same spell spam/big sword/Dex bloodhound builds
