In my experience, vent clips destroy your vents in time.
@Glenn....that was my immediate thought....it causes eventual major sag/bent vent and or outright breaks that vent panel itself. They perhaps need a upper and lower vent clamp so that they weight of the phone holder and actual phone can be supported evenly rather than being support just from the upper clamp....however it still may experience eventual vent panel sag and or breakage over time.

I wonder if manufacturers are starting to consider that people hang things from their vents, because on my newer car my vents are really thick. I actually got one of these wireless chargers, and if that thing didn't stretch all the way open it wouldn't fit my vent.
I'm one of those nutters who actually purchased the Smart sensor cradle.
I liked the fact that it charged my phone through its rather thick Otterbox case.
However..
1. After making a sharp turn the vent clip was damaged and remained in an open position rendering it un-mountable.
I then purchased a stronger vent clip.
2. After 2 weeks the clamps continually open and close. Sometimes un-plugging and re-plugging the charger stops this, but often it doesn't.
I've returned the product 3 times and each time I experienced the same problem (constant opening) , despite using various fast chargers.
In my opinion its really not worth it.
When it says best seller on Amazon it's a product that is made for Amazon

Does the phone holder still open and close if it’s not plugged into the USB? I prefer to put my phone holder on the far side passengers vent, less temptation to answer the phone while driving. Trying to avoid a $300 fine for answering my phone while driving.

My s10 doesnt fit there with shock proof cover. The bottom leg should be longer and wider

I woldn't reccomend smart sensor. It stopped working for me a month of having it. It wouldn't even slide open anymore
Hi Andrew, one of the reasons I went with the VANMASS, the smart sensor was okay but for $25 or so I've heard similar reviews. Not always but it definitely seemed to be lesser quality.

If the listing on Amazon says fast wireless charging then your good. If it is not listed than it is standard wireless charging.

After having three...I would NOT recommend the Smart Sensor product. The first one I bought stopped working after a few months. The manufacture sent me a replacement but not before providing them a video showing the device was defective. The replacement encountered the same issue after a couple of months; I did not reach back out to them. I saw the same device at a lower price point so I bought it and you guessed it! Device #3 experienced the same issue as the previous two. I went with another similar device and it's performing great!

Hi Victoria, yes on a charging basis both preformed well. VANMASS is a clear winner for me though, much better build quality and the open/close mechanism works without DC power. The Smart Charger does not.
I like the Topwan Smart Senor Phone Mount and I forgot about this one after seeing it on Instagram. Even if it didn't charge I would like it.

Have you happened to try any of these with a s21 ultra?
I have the vanmass and worked with my note 10 plus for 1.5yrs. Just upgraded to the s21 ultra and it still works. doesnt charge very fast though. I think it needs USB-C and a 15 what car charger base for it fast charge. micro usb isnt cutting it anymore IMHO. I would consider myself a power user though (navigation, music and hotspot on while driving) so you may be satisfied with the charging speed.

No need, you can keep your phone case on with both of these chargers (for most all phone cases)
Did this charges are otterbox friendly?
Hi Colonia, the VANMASS is recommended for cases under 6mm. Cases over 6mm are not recommended.

the vanmass is ugly, but I had one for 2 years or so without a problem. It was stolen so I need a new one
I think it looks professional, not as flashy as the Smart Charger but it's subjective of course. It's been working very well so far!

Wtf? the first one..what lousy technology, and mechanism, loud and also very slow. Is this broken? Mehanical ones are so much better.
The Smart Charger? Not my preferred option I agree but for the price point it serves its purpose. However I wouldn't expect the longevity out of the SC.
I bought one, used it for a week, great product, fast charging was great, BUT the problem is that it starts recharging the phone as soon as it drops below 99% and from what I know about batteries it is not healthy to charge your phone 200 times a day. they need to put a button so you can turn the charger off when you don't need recharging
Good idea, you can always pull the USB-A from the DC adapter but obviously not as seamless as a switch.
