  • Lots more Antmusic on my channel, along with Wire, Cabaret Voltaire etc etc.
    From the Decca Demos, 1978, Decca Studios, Broadhurst Gardens, West Hampstead.
    This song was never officially released until the 'Antbox' retrospective in 2000.
    Adam, from 'Antbook' ;
    'A humorous look at the S&M scene, which I wrote a thesis about at Hornsey College of Art'.
    The fact that Decca chose not to release any of the material from these demos & dropped the
    band from their contract makes you wonder what sort of a band they thought they'd signed.
    With the exception of 'Young Parisians', this is exactly what you would've expected to get from
    The Ants at that time....
    The dancers are from the 'Lullaby of Broadway' section of "Gold Diggers of 1935",
    a musical directed and choreographed by Busby Berkeley.
    There are also a few clips from "Dressing For Pleasure" (1977) by John Samson,
    which includes the scenes with Jordan.
    I'm now sorting all the demos into a playlist/folder as I add new ones entitled
    Adam & The Ants - 'Deccadense' - 1970s Demos, Sessions, Etc which can be easily found on my
    YT homepage, along with other playlists such as ''B-Side Babies (+)'', ''Dirk Wears White Sox LP'',
    ''Kings Of The Wild Frontier LP'' etc.
