Red Scab was on the flip of Goody Two Shoes, but not this version, obviously, which was from around 4 years earlier.@@mickeyp1257

A million miles away from mk2. Those were the days

Not sure I would say it's a million miles away, but it's got a different feel about it. The same, but different.
I've added a link in the description for the later version.

Yeah actually the later version was good and true to original. I should have said MK2 Adam and Ants. The MK1 group were just a great cult , the badges, the fans , the artwork and clothes people wore at their concerts. Carefully painting the ‘whip in my valise’ boots on the back of my leather jacket , being part of that movement was precious. I remember most of the music press ,except Julie Birchill , slated them .

Yeah, well knew nothing of all that stuff at the time myself, I came onboard in '81. Yeah, I'm aware the music press despised them, but what the fuck did they know? Bunch of self-aggrandising coke-heads no doubt...@@auntiesue7173

What was left of Mk2 after Gary and Terry were fired rerecorded Red Scab in early 1982 for the B Side of Goody Two Shoes in the UK, the main difference being the extra drum rolls at the end of each line. When the song was revived as a live number in 1993 the drum rolls were kept.

@@auntiesue7173 The first 6-9 months of the New Ants were still very much an underground group too. It goes to show that if the Ants had a decent record label in 1978 Adam would have had pop success back then (and then what? Would punks have turned on the Matthew Ashman lineup and demanded the return of Jordan and Johnny Bivouac's spiky guitar sound and the leather biker jacket look? )

Like it, but the best version is on the "B side babies" lp.
